Authors Note: So it seemed like you might want the reader to be the little boy through most of it. Well I’m gonna give it a try. I’ve never done a boy reader. So feedback on this would be nice lol. An towards the end of the request it sounds like you want me to change to a female character or at least I think. I’m gonna even if you didn’t mean it that way. I’m making the little boy the reader and Barry’s kid. Also the title is based on Barry and Iris’ relationship just FYI.

“Please be careful.” Y/n pleaded one last time with her son before he goes to the past.

“I will mom.” Y/s/n smiled at his mom. It was somewhat annoying that she kept saying it but he could understand where she was coming from.

“If you can’t do it just know I don’t blame you and I know you did your best.” Y/n pulled her son into a hug, making sure to reassure him.

“I promise, mom.” he nodded

Y/n nodded letting him stop away from her embrace. “Don’t give him to hard of a time, ok?”

Y/s/n scoffed “Why not? Dad changed the timeline, didn’t like t so he changed it again and it’s erasing us. His family. He made it so you both never got together and I never existed. So he can what? Have his old girlfriend back?”

Y/n smiled, she understood where her son was coming from. And why he is mad with his father. He has every right to be. “Listen to me, baby. I understand why you’re mad at him. I’ll admit it hurts me too. But you got to understand Hunny, I wasn’t your father’s first love.”

“What do you mean?” he asked confused

She gave him a tightlipped smile “We became friends a year an half after Iris decided she was done with him and his alter ego. We were not friends at first, baby. We hated eachother. I was an assassin-”

“You only assassinated bad people!” Y/s/n exclaimed with a tone that made it obvious he was pissed even more at his father than before.

“I know, baby. But to your father and his team I was still a killer, it didn’t matter that I only took out bad guys. So even though our separate teams had to work together for a long while, we didn’t get along. I tried to make friends with them but they were standoffish, due to what I did for a living. What I still do. Eventually, we all became like family but your dad was the last to come around. Once he did we got along great, became the best of friends. He always tried to get me to change my ways but no longer judged me for them. I tried to explain to him that, sometimes the bad guys need to die. That’s why I did what I do. We eventually got closer that everyone around us could feel the tension between us. Not long after that, we started dating. With me, he got over Iris and the heartbreak. Feel love again.”

“Mom, if I don’t get this worked out and I’m erased… Will you remember me?” he asked her nervously.

Y/n pulled him into a hug. “Of course I will baby.”

He snuffled into her chest. “How? It’ll be like I never existed.”

“My powers, one of them allows me to remember everything. I remember every timeline change. Sometimes it sucks but I’m glad that if you can’t stop it and I lose you, my baby. At least I’ll be able to remember you.” She reassured her son, who she really hopes succeeds. Because Y/n does not want to lose her boy or to have to live without him. Having no one even know he existed but her.

“Won’t it hurt though?” Y/s/n asked looking up at her

Y/n nodded with a watery smile. “Yes, knowing I had you and then not having you. It’ll hurt a bunch, but I’d rather remember you than not.”

“I’m gonna do it, mom. I promise, I’m gonna try my hardest. For you and for me.” He nodded to himself more than to his mom. Y/s/n was talking up the confidence he already had to help himself get even more motivation, and get even more determined.

“I love you Y/s/n.” Y/n stated leaning down to kiss his forehead for what could be the last time.

“I love you too, mom.” Y/s/n held his mom in a tight hug before leaving and maybe never see her again.

“So your from the future?” Caitlin asked looking at the preteen before them.

“Yes.” Y/s/n nodded, standing before team Flash.

“And your here to prevent Barry from changing the timeline again?” Cisco squinted, giving a suspicious look.

“Yes.” Y/s/n nodded again

“Why?” Wells asked joining in

“Because when he changed it this time he changed the outcome of so many things. Too many things. Important things.” Y/s/n pointed towards Barry as he explained all he could without damaging the future.

“What did I change it for?” Barry asked with a furrowed brow.

Y/s/n rolled his eyes “An emotional decision, not a logical one.”

“That’s not exactly an answer.” Barry pressed getting annoyed with the vagueness coming from this kid.

“Well, it’s the only one your gonna get.” Y/s/n stated annoyed and gave him a look to make sure it was well known he is annoyed with the older speedster.

With that, the team decided that they had no choice but to stop the mistake they made. Y/s/n was very adamant about reminding them it is not their fault it’s Barry’s. Y/s/n was there for a few weeks when it finally happened. A mission went wrong and after weeks of stress the break-out fight and feelings came out.

“No Barry! I’m done! With you and with all of this!” Iris pulled her arm out of his grasp.

“I didn’t mean to do it! Please Iris… don’t do this.” Barry pleaded with tears in his eyes.

Iris shook her head with tears going down her face of frustration. “No, Barry. I’m done.”

“Iris… Iris.” Barry called out to her as she walked away from him. After what Iris’ reasons were maybe if he went back in time he could change what he did wrong and fix their relationship.

“No!” Y/s/n grabbing his father before he could do what he knew he was thinking.

“What-?” Barry turned to see Y/s/n holding him back.”Let me go!”

Y/s/n shook his head “I can’t let you do that.”

“You don’t even know what I’m gonna do.” Barry struggled against Y/s/n’s hold

“Yes, I do.”

With those 3 words, Barry stopped struggling and got out of y/s/n grip. He turned to face him before asking. “Is this what came back here to stop me from doing?”

“Yes” Y/s/n sighed looking him in the eyes.

“I’m not meant to be with Iris. Am I?” Barry came to the conclusion

“No. Your not.” Y/s/n admitted

“Than who am I suppose to be with?” Barry asked defeated. “I love Iris.” he whimpered

“I can’t tell you who you end up with.” Y/s/n knew he couldn’t do that, the pieces have fallen into place themselves. “But I can tell you that you end up happy, and with a family.”

After a while of silence, of Barry thinking he looked Y/s/n is the eyes and asked. Well, more like stated. “You are my son. Aren’t you?”

Y/s/n opened his mouth looking around the room. “I can’t.”

“Confirm that, I know I know.” Barry nodded he should have expected that. “It’s just you have my powers and some looks we share.” He gave a light laugh.

“It’s not the only power I have.” Y/s/n spoke lowly, looking down at his feet.

All Barry could do was nod. Now that Y/s/n had stopped what he came to change it time to say goodbye.

Y/s/n “Well, I guess this is goodbye.”

“See you in the future.” Barry smiled giving him a knowing look.

“See you in the future.” Y/s/n smirked. An with that said the young boy speeded away back to the future.

“What was that about?” Cisco asked his taller friend once the boy left.

Barry shrugged “Nothing… I just think I met my future son though.”

“Wait…” Caitlin looked up in a flash. No pun intended.

“WHAT!?!?!?!” All team Flash minus Barry yelled out in shock and confusion- you name it.

“Love” Peter called out sweetly

“Hmmm?” Y/n hummed

“I have something I want to show you.” He said as he came up and hugged her from behind. Peter gently started tugging her in the embrace into a room in his treehouse that Y/n had never been in before. Infront of her was a large mirror with a swirl of mist like magic moving around inside of it.

“What’s this, Peter?” Y/n asked turning her head slightly to look at him for an answer.

Peter smiled at her with excitement in his eyes. “I was able to find a way to let you spy on your father wherever he is.”

“Really?” Y/n’s face filled with excitement and shock. “Thank you. Sooo much.” Y/n jumped up wrapping her arms around his neck. Showing him her gratitude.

“Just want you to be happy, Love.” Peter stated in a mumble into her neck. Hugging her right back. He was happy that he could cheer her up.

“You didn’t have to do this for me. Thank you so much. Really, thank you.” Y/n spoke into his shoulder. Willing herself not to cry.

“No, problem Love. You’re welcome.” Peter smiled leaning in to give her a kiss ok her forehead before moving over to use his magic. Peter waved his hand in front of the mirror and behold, it appeared with live images of her father. Showing what he was doing at this exact moment.

Once he saw how happy this plan of his had made her. It made Peter feel very warm inside. Pan decided to leave her alone to watch her father and see that he’s ok. Peter left the room and left the treehouse as well. Once outside of the treehouse Peter approached Felix. As both watched over the rest of the lost boys who were dancing around the fire.

“That was a nice thing you did for her. Although I imagine it’s head. For her to see him and not be able to talk to him or touch him.” Felix spoke from beside Pan.

Peter glanced towards his friend and second in command. “I’m glad I could give her this, to help. But I’m also worried that this will hurt her more. Just in a different way.” Pan sighed, thinking about how this might effect Y/n in a way that he won’t be able to fix as easily.

“What’re you gonna do?” Felix asked. Also worried about the girl who had become a good friend to him and the other lost boys over the time she’d been there.

“I have an idea.” Peter stated with an face that no one could read.

“What’s this idea entail?” Felix wondered out loud. Prepared to help in anyway he may be needed.

“A lot of searching on my part.” Pan smirked looking directly at Felix. “I’ll need you to watch over the boys more often.” He asked of him, knowing that searching for what he’s thinking of will take  most of his time up.

Felix nodded in agreement. “No problem. Peter Pan Never Fails. Don’t want the first time to be for a girl he seems to really like.”

Peter glared at him playfully. “Shut up. An your right Peter Pan Never Fails and this is not gonna be the thing that breaks my streak.” He winked.

“I had so much fun tonight.” Y/n spoke with a big smile on her face as she turned to face her boyfriend.

“Me too, Love.” he smiled back as they came to a stop in front of the Swan Family loft.

“I love that.” she smirked up at him, biting her lip.

“Love what?” Ryan asked reaching out his hands to hold her waist.

Y/n smiled up at him as she walked into his reach. When you use the petnames: Love, Darling or Darlin.”

“That’s what you’re supposed to use where I come from. For endearment.” he winked playfully, even though every word he spoke was completely true.

Y/n nodded, acknowledging that she does know and understands. But to her, it’s still nice to hear the terms of endearment. “I know, but people don’t anymore.”

“Which is just not right.” Ryan shook his head with a scoff. It’s not right how most men treat women in this world.

“I agree” she grinned, agreeing full-heartedly. Men think women should do all the work now or once they get the girl they can just stop being sweet. Cause they figure the hard works done and it’s not, cause now they should try harder to keep her.

Ryan let out a sigh, it was time for them to part ways for the night. “Well, this is your stop.”

“Ah, yes. Where the embarrassment will in sue.” Y/n scoffed looking to her building that holds home.

“They still give you a hard time?” he asked smiling in amusement.

“Yes! It never stops! We’ve been dating for almost 2 years now.” Y/n exclaimed, clearly annoyed with the long treatment of teasing from her loved ones.

“They just want to tease you, Love.” Ryan tryed to reassure her and calm her annoyance.

She let out a sigh of frustration. “It’s annoying and frustrating.”

“Once Harry starts dating they’ll tease him and not you.”

Y/n let out a laugh. “Hopefully… Well, it seems everyone’s here tonight.”

Y/n hoped he was right. That soon Henery would find a nice girl to date and he would be the one getting teased.

“I love you, Darling.” Ryan spoke softly as he brushed her hair back.

“I love you too. See you tomorrow.” Y/n smiled at him as she gave him a goodbye kiss.

“See you tomorrow. Be brave, Love.” he winked at her, pulling away from the kiss before they took even more time. Ryan didn’t want her to be late and miss curfew. Again.

With that Y/n headed on up the stairs towards the loft. Once she got to the door, getting her key out she could hear that everyone was in there. Letting out a sigh and taking a deep breath before entering. “Well, look who’s back Lass.” Killian greeted with an amused smug look. BUt between the two of them, Y/n knows it’s all in a joking manner, the teasing she gets from him. So when Y/n rolled her eyes looking directly at him as she did, Killian let out a laugh at the girl’s actions. It’s all fun and games between the pirate and his surgery daughter.

“Soooooo, how was it?” Snow asked once Y/n had closed the door.

Regina rolled her eyes at how fast the question left Snow’s mouth. “Why not let her get through the door first. Before you start with all the questions.”

Emma sighed at the argument that could break out. “Regina.”

“What? I’m right.” Regina shrugged her shoulders. She wanted to know as well, considering she was Y/n’s mother for so much of her life. Before Henery found Emma, his and Y/n’s bio mom.

“Yeah, but-” Emma started, leaning back against the counter with her arms crossed loosely.

“She just means you could have said it in a nicer tone.” Robin cut in. Trying his best to defuse the situation at hand.

Regina snapped her towards the archer in the room.”Who’s side are you on?”

Robin tilted his head and raised his eyebrows. “Well-”

“Not again….OK, GUYS! Really?” she exclaimed loudly. All Y/n could think was ‘when will this stop.” but with who her family is made up of that’s a question not worth asking. “Mom?”

“Sorry.” Regina apologized with a tight voice to her daughter, well adopted but you know.

“So Lass, how was the date?” Killian asked trying to ease the conversation back to the topic at hand. Or well hook.

“Yes, details.” Snow snapped her head towards her granddaughter again.

“Oh boy” David sighed leaning back in the dinner tables chair, with his arm around Snow’s shoulders.

Y/n let out a sigh and gave them a nod with a little smile. “It was good.”

Snow scoffed in shook her head that - that seemed to be all she was willing to give them “Come on Sweetheart.”

Y/n shook her head ‘no’. “No. When I give you all more you get crazy about it. You all tease. Well besides Killian and Robin. Thank you by the way. So it was a good date and I enjoyed myself is all you people get.”

“Aw come on Y/n/n.” Snow whined wanting to be able to gossip about this kind of thing with her granddaughter. Since she never got to do it with her own daughter.

“No” she continued to shake her head walking over to where her younger brother sat at the breakfast bar.

“Did you guys kiss? I bet they kissed.” David teased looking between everyone teasingly.

“Oh, many times.” Henry nodded in agreement, trying not to laugh. He always took the chance to tease his sister.

“Hey!” Y/n smacked Henery upside the head.

“Was he sweet? I bet he was sweet.” Snow asked in a dreamy tone. She really likes Ryan and the way he treats Y/n.

“Is he still treating you right?” Emma asked adding into the conversation.

“You mean is he not trying to force her into anything.” Regina pinched the bridge of her nose at Emma’s question. Even though she did wonder the same.

“If he does I’ll hunt him down.” Robin stated in a protective manner.

“I’ll join.” David nodded agreeing with the archer.

“Aye, me too. Though I vote to kill the young lad if he tries anything.” Killian joined in as well, raising his hook in the air.

“I’d be able to get behind that.” Everyone looked to the 3 men in shock. Well besides Y/n. She’s always noticed how protective the 3 of them are towards her.

“I’d be in as well for that plan.” Robin added

“Guys!” Y/n yelled, getting everyone’s attention. She took a deep breath before continuing. “Look, he was a perfect gentleman. Like always. Yes, we kissed, we are in a relationship. Have been for close to 2 years now. There’s never ever- been any pressure going on. He’s not like that, you all should know that by now.” Y/n smiled, looking at all of her family. “Thank you all for worrying and caring so much about me. Thank you for asking and wondering how it went and if things are ok between me and Ryan. Thank you Grandpa, Killian, and Robin for being protective and occasionally overprotective. But now if you excuse me I want to go shower and go to bed.” With that, she gave them all a nod and started to head up the stairs to bed.

“Night, Lass.” Killian moved a hand with a smile.

“Yeah, night.” Emma spoke with a smile as well.

“Night sweetheart.” Regina added also. Everyone gave a slight nod and a ‘night’, as Y/n made it all the way up the stairs.

“You set? Get everything you need for however long I’m gone?” Peter questioned, hoping he didn’t forget anything. Not after all his time of planning.

Felix nodded reassuring his leader. “We’re all set, Pan. Don’t worry we’ll be fine.”

Peter nodded “Ok. Lets do this.”

“Have fun.” Felix stated as his farewell. He had helped Pan make all the arrangements. Making sure everything was in place so the Island would be fine, so the lost boys will be fine while Peters gone. 

With that Peter nodded and said his leave with Felix and the lost boys. Once that was all said and done, and the explaining that he won’t be gone long. He went to go find his lost girl that won’t be fully just his very soon.

“Love” Peter called out down by the waters shore, where he normally found Y/n over her time on the Island.

Y/n spun around giving Peter a smile before greeting him. “Hey, Peter.”

“I have something for you, Darling. It’s a trip, so pack your stuff and we’ll go.” Peter told her, giving very little details.

Y/n nodded giving him a mischievous smirk. “Ok. I’m not even gonna ask because I already know you won’t tell me if ya haven’t already.”

“Smart Girl” Peter smirked as well before taking her hand and bringing her back to pack up all her stuff.

Once all her stuff was packed up in a bag Peter grabbed it and put it over his shoulder and they were ready to go now.

“Look I know I said I know better than to ask but… Where are we going?” Y/n bit her lip smiling at him, slightly bouncing in front of him. Excited about what Peter Pan had planned.

Peter smiled at her antics giving her a kiss on the cheek. “It’s a surprise, but I promise Love you’re gonna love it.”

Y/n sighed playfully but smiled anyway and wrapped her arms around his torso. Ready for him to take her wherever he had planned. “Ok then.”

An with that Peter wrapped his arm around her as well and they took off. Traveling through the sky has never ceased to scare and excite Y/n. Which after all that time very much amused Peter.

Peter was worried that after doing this he may lose the one person who really understood him and who he could really be content with. But Pan also knew that this is what his lost girl needed. When she first got to the Island Y/n wasn’t lost, just a little scared, but now after being here for years and years of being away from her friends. Loved ones. The people who make a place home for her. She is lost now. She could hear the flute 6 months into being on Neverland. Which started to concern Peter right away. This is what needs to happen. It’s what's best for her. Whether it hurts him or not. Peter just hope’s it doesn’t come to that.

“Where are we?” Y/n asked confused by the fact that they seem to be on some road surrounded by a forest, that looked similar to home for her.

“A little place called StoryBrooke.” Peter stated unwrapping one arm from around her to readjust her bag on his shoulder, while she looked around.

“What realm is this place in?” Y/n turned focusing her attention back on the boy who’s taken care of her when she had no one else.

Peter smiled shaking his head. “Questions, questions, questions Love.”

“Peter!” She exclaimed not believing he was still keeping her in the dark. Even though their at their destination.

“This place is so cute. In a weird way.” Y/n smiled in wonder. They had just walked through such a cute little town, during the sunset no less. Now it was dark and they were walking up a twisting road.

“Yeah, it is huh.” Pan gave a tight lipped smile. He knew exactly what this town is. Where everyone's truly from. Peter would have to considering all he had to search for and through just to find what he was looking for. Peter stopped walking which also made Y/n stop walking having felt him stop, considering their hands are linked. “Lets stop for a minute. Ok, so you asked what realm this place was in, and I evaded the question earlier. I avoided it Love, because I know what happens to us when I tell you.” Pan gave her a sad smile, which left Y/n very concerned. Y/n moved to stand in front of him cupping his cheek with her unoccupied hand, rubbing on the top of his cheekbone. “I know what happens when I show you what's here. What here is.”

All that he’s saying was very confusing to the young woman. An it was worrying her very much. “Peter, what's wrong? What's here? Come on you can tell me. Its been a decade an half, you know or at least you should know you can talk to me. About anything. And yes I figured out how long its been. Its one of the reasons I was so down a while back. An I appreciate you trying to keep me in the dark, first it pissed me off but I get why you did it. So thank you.”

“Welcome.” He let out a sigh before continuing. “Down this road is a big mansion.” Peter spoke softly, glancing behind her where the road continue on.

Y/n shook her head, furrowing her eyebrows. “I don’t understand.”

“There’s a man. He lives there, all alone.” Peters corners of his lips twitched up, but right now he just couldn’t form a very happy expression. Pan is happy knowing how happy she’s going to be when she finds out, but he’s still sad losing her. “In town, all the people- the whole population. Everyone's from the Enchanted Forest.”

“Wha- I-I… How’d you?” She stuttered. Entirely confused but she believed him even though it sounded impossible after all this time. But he hadn’t lied to her yet, so she trust what he’s saying now.

Peter grabbed her hands off his cheek, holding and moving it to hold it against his heart. “I’ve been looking for a while. At first to just see where everyone was sent to. I just didn’t put much effort into it. But with seeing how much you’ve been hurting the last couple of weeks, missing everyone especially your father. I wanted to help, reunite the two of you. Even if it mean you leave Neverland.”

Y/n instantly understood. Peter wanted to help her. Make her happy again. He did all this- searched for so long just to make her happy again. To be with her loved ones again. Her dad again. “Oh, Peter.”

“Love, I want you to be happy. Neverland- I can tell you love it, but I can also tell its not meant to be your home Y/n. you need your friends and family.” Pan smiled at her. It wasn’t big but he did genuinely mean it. He bit his lip before pulling her in for a hug, which Y/n returned.

“Thank you, Peter. So, so much.” She whispered into his chest. The weight of everything was finally hitting her. An what he meant early now made sense to her. “Hey” Y/n called to get his attention, leaning back just the tinniest bit to look him in the eyes. She smiled smugly up at him. “You and the lost boys have become my friends to, ya know. Family. Really. You guys have been all I’ve had for so long.”

Peter let out a laugh which also happened to be a breath of relief she had just proved his worries wrong. “Same, Love. Now lets get you to your new house. Your new home.”

With that all cleared up Peter felt a lot better about what the outcome could be of this. Y/n she felt excited but also anxious. Yes, she was finally with everyone she knows (well with them). Yes, she was about to be with her father again. But it had been so long it scared her a little. 

They started up the winding road again. Up to the mansion that Peter says her father lives in. A odd change to where they lived in the Enchanted Forest.

“Calm down. Its a huge house” Pan pulled her closer into his side teasing her lightly.

“What if he doesn’t remember me?” Y/n mumbled looking down, playing with her fingers. A nervous habit Peter noticed she had over the time they’ve spent together.

Pan stopped her fidgeting holding her together before promising. “Y/n, you’ve been watching him for weeks. You know he misses you. Love, even I know without a doubt that he misses you.”

Y/n leaned her head onto his shoulder. “I’m just anxious.” She admitted

Peter nodded in understanding. “I know, but you have no reason to be.”
