“What’s wrong, Brett?” Satomi asked approaching the tall teenager.

“Nothing.” Brett mumbled

“You should know by now that I know you better than that.” Satomi moved to sit beside the boy. “So are you gonna tell me, or keep me waiting?”

“I was just thinking about that girl from a couple of weeks ago. If she was ok. After everything.” Brett told her looking slightly shy.

“Mmmmm, I see. Well, I heard from Derek Hale. She moved into his loft with him.” Satomi told the boy hoping to ease his mind.

“They kicked her out.” Brett turned his head to the older wolf in a flash. She wasn’t kidding when she said her family would do bad things if she disobeyed.

“She was kicked out, but not fully disowned. Her father wouldn’t do it. They have a bond, he cares about her to much to do that. He has visited her at the loft. He understands why she did it.” She explained the Y/h/c-ed girls’ situation to him. “You can go visit her if you would like.” Satomi suggested.

“Yeah. Yeah I think I might.” Brett nodded thinking he might actually. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about that girl since their run in.

Y/n got up after hearing a knock on the door of the loft, being the only one home she got up to answer it. “Brett?”

“Y/n.” Brett smiled upon seeing the girl.

“What’re you doing here?” Y/n asked mirroring his expression while moving aside to let him in.

“I came to check on you.” Brett stated as he walked into the loft.

“Oh” Y/n let out softly.

“After what you did for me, and my sister. I wanted to make sure you were alright.” Brett told her looking her in the eyes. He was looking her up and down trying to make sure she was ok and wasn’t hurt.

“Its the least I could do. You’re not like what we’ve supposed to hunt. Plus Satomi is a friend.” Y/n smiled at him moving into the room.

Brett nodded moving to sit on the couch as Y/n did. “How’d you meet her?”

“Through Derek.” She answered still smiling at the boy around her age.

“Well, then how’d you meet the Hales? Let alone befriend them?” Brett laughed turning his body to face hers.

“Long story.” Y/n shrugged, thinking he wouldn’t be interested.

“I got time.” Brett shrugged hoping to get to know her more. He could tell she seemed a little shocked by his answer but then she smiled and started to tell him. Maybe this could lead to a friendship or more. But Brett was determined to make sure she knows he’d be on her side if she ever needed it.

“Mom!” Y/n yelled out walking into the cozy livingroom of the little home. Nat had gotten her own little home near the compound after they found out about the Redroomand HYDRA’s little experiment that had been conveniently wiped from both Nat and Bucky’s minds. With the help of Suir both got those memories back.

Bucky felt like he wasn’t ready to trust himself with 24/7 care of the young girl that is his flesh and blood. Nat took to being Y/n’s mother right away, having always wanted kids but not being able to have them. Nat had been helping Bucky to feel more confident that he wouldn’t hurt their little girl. He’s not the Winter Soldier anymore. With co-parenting a flame had been rekindled between the ex-spy and ex-assassin.

Nat and Bucky had started dating not long after Y/n came into their lives. Getting closer he was over more to their home. The two were worried on how to handle the situation of them dating and Y/n. This after all wasn’t a normal parent’s with a kid or even parent’s dating with a kid. But Y/n didn’t seem to mind, she enjoyed having both of them around all the time.

“What baby?” Natasha asked looking over from her book towards her daughter. Smiling at Y/n who was bouncing on her feet excitedly.

“Can we visit the compound?” Y/n asked leaning against the arm of the couch shifting her feet.

“Why honey?” She asked her daughter patting the couch for her to join. Y/n did moving around to sit on the couch next to her mom.

“I wanna see Uncle Thor and Uncle Bucky.” Y/n told her mom trying to contain her excitement.

“Sure Baby. We can go vivist. I’m sure your Uncles would love to see you as well.” Nat smiled at Y/n enjoying how much joy came from the young girl, from just the confirmation that she could go see her family. She ran off to her room to from what Natasha could make out was grabbing some drawings she drew for Bucky.

“Uncle Thor!” Y/n screamed as she ran over to the God of Thunder. He picked her up with a huge smile.

“There’s little lady Y/n!” Then greeted the little Y/h/c-ed girl. Thor loved when he vivisted to spend most of his time on earth with the young lady or as he’d say Princess.

“I missed you Uncle Thor.” Y/n spoke softly into his neck as she wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tight.

“I missed you as well lady Y/n.” Thor stated hugging her back as tight as he could without hurting her.

“She really likes Thor huh?” Bucky spoke as he rocked on his heels, looking down feeling left out and a little bit jealous. When Y/n rushed into the livingroom area she had bolted past everyone to get to Thor.

“Yeah, she does.” Natasha spoke standing next to him. Nat looked over noticing how down Bucky seemed to be watching their daughter. Normally you couldn’t pay for the smile to wipe off his face, he loves that little girl. “She missed you too… She asked to come vivist you and Thor. An I’m pretty sure your her favorite.”

“An I don’t get a hello?” Bucky raised his eyebrows and placed his hand over his heart dramictcally. “I’m wounded.”

Nat couldn’t help but laugh at his antics. She laughed her shoulders playfully. “You were off to the side, she saw him first.”

“Damn.” BUcky shook his head, sure this joking around is fun but Bucky still wanted to go over there and take his little girl back for himself. With all the time he spends over at the house with her and Nat, he’s use to having both of his girls to himself.

“She’ll be all yours later. Trust me. Your spending the night with us still right?” Natasha asked him wanting to make sure there plans tonight were still on.

“Of course.” Bucky puled her into his side gently and kissed her forehead. He was excited for tonight.

“When are you gonna tell her that Bucky isn’t her uncle?” Steve asked the two as he and Tony approached the couple.

They hadn’t told Y/n yet and since Bucky didn’t feel ready when they first got her back they told her he was an uncle. Like Tony, Steve, Thor, and Sam.

“Yeah. Now that you two are dating and I mean-” Tony pointed between the couple and their daughter. “DNA and all.”

Bucky and Natasha shared a look before answering. “Soon”

That’s actually what they planned on doing tonight. They planned dinner, movies, games, and then sit down and tell Y/n the truth about her parnet’s. About them. Nat and Bucky hoped she took it well. Natasha was positive she would. Y/n adored Bucky with all her heart. Nat sweared that Y/n knew somehow or had some feeling that Bucky was more than they said. Bucky was nervous of her reaction but he felt ready and he wanted to be more to her, be more in her life. A happy little family.

After revealing exactly who he was working for and what exactly they were doing to all the girl's Nick had grabbed Y/n’s arm and taken her back into another room. Far away from all the others.

Once they entered the room Nick had let go of her arm and turned locking the door.

“Why?” Y/n asked with a timid voice, watching his back rise and fall with every breath.

“You know why.” he spoke leaning his head against the door. This was not how he wanted to tell her, if he ever was going to tell her. God he wished that those women never brought her into any of this.

“I don’t mean why you did all this. You already explained that back there.” she shook her head. Y/n was trying not to let her emotions show in her voice or body langue but it was getting increasingly hard. Especially when he knew her so well. “Did it all mean nothing? Was it all part of your plan?”

Nick turned around to face her upon hearing her question. She was referring to their relationship. This was one of the reasons why he never wanted her to find out.

Walking over to her he used his left hand to cup between her cheek and neck, while his right brushed back her hair as he looked her in the eyes. “You were never a part of the plan. That was just a happy surprise.”

“So it all-”

“It all meant something. At least to me it did.” He nodded as he moved his right hand to cup her cheek. Brushing his thumb across her cheek. “How about you?”

Y/n snuffled looking him in the eyes. “I loved you.”

“What about now? Now that you know I’m not who you thought I was.” Nick asked tilting his head just slightly to the side, waiting for her answer. Hoping deep down it was the one he wanted.

Y/n looked down before answering. “Yes.”

Nick stepped closer making their bodies touch completely as he watched her. A simple yes wasn’t good enough. He needed to hear it. “Say it.”

Y/n looked up at him with a ton of emotion in her eyes. “I still love you. I never stopped.”

That was all it took for Nick to pull her into a kiss, after the two of them finally needed to take a breath he stated. “Neither did I.”

“So what does this mean now?” Y/n asked leaning her forward against his as she caught her breath.

Nick sighed knowing this next part would go one of two ways. “I’d like you to join me.”

“Nick- I can’t. . .” Y/n sighed shaking her head pulling back from him but he wrapped an arm around her waist to stop her.

“Not like that. I know you’d never join in on this- what I’m doing.” he shook his head, Nick knows morally she’d never be able to do what he is but if she had no part in it? Then maybe they could still be together. Nick looked her in the eyes seeing how she was waiting to hear what he meant by ‘join him’. “Join me like, come with me. Let’s see where this can go. Be with me.”

Now Y/n had to make a decision.

“So how’s it feel to be back on Earth?” Nat asked the youngest Odionson who was currently sitting at the breakfast bar in the Avengers compound kitchen. It had been a while since Y/n, Thor, and Loki had been to visit. And truthfully Natasha had missed the youngest Odionson. Y/n had missed her as well, the two having had become like sisters over the years.

“Awesome. I missed it here. Missed you guys.” Y/n smiled at the redhead and then to the others in the room. Y/n and Thor both love Earth and the Avengers are family to them.

“Well, we have a new addition to the compound that you only have met briefly before.” Tony stated telling the girl across from him, but by his tone, it sounded more like a warning.

“Who?” Y/n asked, tilting her head in a curious manner.

Before Tony could answer with a snide comment about the man in question Steve spoke up. “An old friend of mine.”

“Is it that guy- uh- Barnes? Wasn’t it?” Y/n snapped her fingers trying to remember.

“Yeah. How’d you know?” Steve asked with a confused expression about how she could have known that.

Y/n pointed towards the redheaded woman. “Nat took me to the museum about you and your team back then.”

“When did she take you there?” Steve asked slightly embarrassed. Of course, Natasha would take her to that museum.

“Nat shrugged her shoulders unaffected by caps stare, taking a sip of her drink. “Last time she was here.”

Y/n waved her hand towards Steve to get his attention. “So where is this Barnes? If I remember correctly he was pretty handsome.” She asked curiously.

Steve smiled at the goddess, he couldn’t help but think maybe someone else will be on Bucky’s side. “You’ll meet him later today.”

“You know what I’m also excited for? Last time I was here I heard of a holiday called Valentine’s day. That’s today right?” Y/n smiled bouncing in her seat. Wanda and Natasha nodded to answer her question, they had been the ones that told Y/n all about the holiday they celebrate on earth. Needless to say, it intrigued the young woman.

“What’s this Valentine's day?” Loki asked from his spot leaning against the far wall of the living room.

“Oh, brother it’s this lovely holiday here where people find love and get together if you know what I’m saying.” Thor smiled widely at their brother. He had celebrated a few Valentines day’s with Jane before while on Earth. Of course, the others jumped in to tell Lokie it wasn’t just about what Thor was implying.

While everyone was talking about Valentine’s day which did in fact happen to be today Steve went to go tell Bucky that he’ll be meeting someone new later in the day.

“Hey.” Steve spoke standing with his hands in his pockets in Bucky’s doorway.

“Hey, Punk.” BUcky greeted looking up from where he sat on his bed tying his boots. “What's up?”

“Well Thor and Loki are back and they brought their sister. You haven’t met her before but you will later. Just wanted to warn you.” Steve told him. He thought Bucky should know that there was someone he hadn’t met in the compound.

Bucky nodded appreciating the heads up. “Does she have any powers like them?”

Steve nodded in confirmation. “Yeah, she controls elements. Mainly one’s that involve heat. Fire, Lave, etc.”

Bucky nodded acknowledging that he heard him and in thanks for the information. It wasn’t but an hour or two later that Bucky and Steve joined the group back in the common room.

It didn’t take but one long look for Bucky to notice the new face in the room. “Who is that?”

Steve looked in the direction Bucky was looking in. “That’s who I was telling you about. Y/n Odionson.”

“That’s Thor and Loki’s sister?” Bucky raised his brows looking at her.

“That's the one.” Steve nodded

“She is. . . “

“What Buck?” Steve asked turning his head in his friend's direction.

“She’s gorgeous.” Bucky stated gulping. He hadn’t felt this way since before everything.

“She is very beautiful.” Steve had to agree, the girl is a literal goddess. He turned his head in a quick snap towards his friend with a shocked expression. “Wait a minute. Bucky, are you-”

Bucky nodded with his mouth still agape. “Punk, I think I-”

“Hey! You must be Barnes. I’m y/n.” Y/n introduced herself holding out her hand. Even though she cut off the super soldiers' conversation she hadn’t heard any of it. Which gave Bucky some sense of relief.

“It’s uh, nice to meet you. You can call me Bucky.” Bucky reached out to shake her hand as he looked at her more closely. He didn’t think it to be possible but she was even more beautiful up close.

“Bucky. That's from your middle name, right?” she smiled repeating his name before asking about it.

“Yeah, it is.” he nodded answering her question even though he was pleasantly shocked about her having known that.

Steve looked between the two and could read that they didn’t need him. So he patted Bucky on his shoulder and gave Y/n a smile and left the two alone.

“So my sister and your friend with the metal arm?” Thor hummed as Steve came to stand next to him and Loki. Thor had watched the whole exchange between James and his sister before Steve left them.

“It seems so.” Steve answered as he as well as Thor glanced over to watch Y/n and Bucky move over to the couch to sit.

“I like him. He seems like an honorable man.” Thor smiled taking a gulp of his drink.

“He is.” Steve nodded.

Loki rolled his eyes at his brother and the star spangled man. “He’s a trained killed. Is that who you want our baby sister to be with?”

Steve let out a sigh and had an annoyed look in his eyes. Turning to face the long black haired trickster. “Loki, he’s changed. Wakanda fixed what HYDRA did to him. Besides he didn’t have a choice when he killed all those people. Unlike you.”

With that, Steve gave Thor a tight smile before heading over to chat with Nat and Clint. Leaving the brothers to chat amongst themselves.

“The stars and striped man is right brother. Besides, look how happy they both seem.” Thor stated as they both glanced over to their sister.

Loki scoffs. “Yeah, till she realizes who he was and what he’s done.”

At least that's what Loki would like to happen but even he knew that was not likely. Y/n didn’t care about things like that, she wouldn’t care about Bucky’s past. She cared about who he is on the inside.

“Brother at least he could protect her better than any other mortal.” Thor countered.

“A single redeeming factor.” Loki grumbled shaking his head. No one was ever going to be good enough for his little sister.

“Strong, kind, protective, handsome- not as handsome as me but that’s to be expected.” Thor smiled shrugging his shoulders.

“Ever the modest one.” Loki rolled his eyes as he said his ever so sarcastic comment.

“Oh always.” Thor smiled oblivious to the fact it wasn’t a compliment.

“So I take it your onboard with the metal arm as well? He’s attached to a piece of machinery. And an exassaisn.” Loki turned his head to face Thor instead of watching his sister, closely.

“An you wear horns. Besides from what my friend Rabbit says that arm is cable of extraordinary things.” Thor smiled at Loki giving him an amused look.

“Oh I’m sure.” Loki spoke completely annoyed at the conversation and situation.

Thor nudged Loki, a little to hard. “Lighten up brother. He could be good for her after everything they both have been through. Besides, it’s Valentine's day.”

Loki had to admit he hadn’t seen Y/n that happy in years. She really did look really really happy. Maybe he could be good for her.

Later that day, well it was night now. Most of the Avengers were out at dinner with their wives or dates. Some were still at the compound. Y/n and Bucky had talked practically all day. Nothing could separate the two of them. Not till they both got hungry and Bucky suggested that they should pick up some take out. Y/n nodded and went to talk to her brothers before they leave, having sensed them watching.

Which gave Steve a moment to talk to Bucky. So he moved to sit across from Buck, trying to hold back his smile. “So, you and Y/n?”

“Punk.” Bucky grumbled but couldn’t keep his face neutral all he could do was let the smile break out across his face.

“Oh, come on tell me.” Steve let out a light laugh. He hadn’t seen Bucky like this since the ’40s. It gave him some relief.

Bucky shook his head laughing happily with a huge smile on his face. Looking Steve in the eye’s he stated. “I think I’m in love.”

“That's great, Buck.” Steve smiled at his best friend. He was happy that Bucky seemed to have found someone. An on Valentine's day of all days.

“So you and Bucky-” Thor started, wiggling his eyebrows ready to tease his little sis but Y/n cut him off.

“Thor-” Y/n whined knowing he was gonna tease her.

“More like her and a trained killer.” Loki cut in. He would tease her to right along with Thor. But Loki was always more protective of Y/n than anyone else. He won’t stop till he’s long dead. For real dead.

“Guys!” Y/n spoke up louder than before stopping both of them before they could say anymore. Looking at both her brothers with love in her eyes and pleading with them. “Please give him a chance. I think I might love him.”

Thor and Loki were silent for a moment before Thor clapped his hands together happily before pulling her into his side. “We will. Won’t we Loki?”

“Hmmmmhmmm.” Loki mumbled in silent agreement. It didn’t mean he wouldn’t be watching James Buchanan Barnes closely.

“Where are we going?” Y/n asked as she noticed stuff tied up to the back of his motorcycle.

“You’ll find out.” Noah answered handing her her helmet with a mischievous glint in his eyes that did not go unnoticed by Y/n.

“Noah…” Y/n whined with a smile giving him her best puppy dog eyes, trying to get him to spill.

“You’ll find out soon enough.” Noah smirked knowing she’ll love what he has planned. At least he hopes she does.

After a short ride, they finally got to their destination. Y/n looked up at him with a look of confusion and adoration. They live by the beach, he couldn’t tell her that, she thought? “The beach? You couldn’t tell me we were going to the beach?”

“Today is full of surprises.” Noah smiled down at her laughing at her words.

Noah layed out the blanket he packed and then unpacked everything else. The couple ate and laughed just talking and enjoying their time together. It was a cute little date, they even got to watch the sunset in some beautiful shades of orange next to the fire Noah had built them.

“This was a great date, Noah.” Y/n told him leaning her head on his shoulder, looking up at him through her lashes.

“It was, wasn’t it.” Noah smiled back in agreement but also in knowing. Knowing that he was gonna make the night even better in a minute.

“I love you, Noah Flynn.” she smiled leaning up to kiss him on the cheek.

“I love you too, Y/n Y/l/n.” he stated kissing the top of her head before shifting the position they were in so he was kneeling in front of her instead. “There is something I still need to do before we leave.”

“An what’s that?” Y/n questioned with furrowed brows.

“You have been the love of my life since we were kids. I pinned after you for years but you never noticed.” Noah took a deep breath and pulled out the ring he picked out for her months ago. “So, I had to finally just come out and tell you. Very bluntly, might I add. We’ve been together since sophomore year, and we’ve been in college for 2 going on 3 now. I don’t see my future without you in it. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” he finished looking at her with love and nerves. Waiting for an answer.

“Yes! Of course! Yes!” she answered with a huge smile upon her lips, with happy tears welling up in her eyes.

“I love you, future wife.” Noah said as he pulled her into a kiss after slipping the gorgeous ring on her finger. Sealing their soon to be fate.

“I love you too, future husband.” Y/n smiled looking at him in the eye’s admiring the man she fell in love with and would one day soon marry.
