Edmund giving off eat the rich vibes while simultaneously owning a solid gold chess set is one of my favourite things about the films.

Ok we all talk about the Pevensies’ trauma at returning to Earth at the end of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and their trouble readjusting to life there again but think of all the funny/good parts too

They return from the country, and their mom is surprised when all her children hug her at the station. Even Peter, who thinks he’s all grown up. Even Edmund, who went away surly and withdrawn. She doesn’t know her children haven’t seen her in over a decade.

They miss their dear Cair Paravel, but they absolutely do not miss its chamber pots. Indoor plumbing is amazing.

It takes a while to remember how modern technology works, though. How many heart attacks did the siblings give their parents or the professor because they walked into a dark room only to turn on the light and find the children sitting there in the dark. (They were by the window! There was still plenty of light from the sunset! They would have gotten a candle in a minute!) The kids sheepishly remember oh yeah electricity is a thing.

(Edmund has a new electric torch in Prince Caspian. He was so excited to get that torch. Almost more excited than you’d think a kid his age would be, and his parents expect Peter at least to tease him, but the siblings all agree light in your hand at the touch of a switch is terrific.)

Suddenly getting really high grades in some subjects and terrible in others. Their grammar, reading comprehension, spelling, vocab, even penmanship? Amazing. History and geography? They don’t remember anything. One time in class Susan forgets Earth is round and wants to die.

Also they can never remember what the date is supposed to be because Narnia uses different months and years. They can estimate time really well by looking at the sun though, and Edmund at least can always tell which way is north etc without thinking about it (again, using the sun)

Okay but how many times did they go to pick something up or reach something and realize they are so much shorter and less muscled than they expect? It’s a common sight to see Peter climbing on counters to reach a top cabinet, grumbling about how he’s High King this is demeaning. (No he never takes the extra five seconds to grab a stool. He will climb that shelf.)

Peter and Susan being delighted because they are no longer almost thirty. (In a few years Edmund and Lucy will tease them about being old and their parents will not understand.)

Lucy doesn’t have to deal with periods anymore for a few years yet. Susan might not either. Heck yeah

Lucy loves to climb into her siblings’ laps and be cuddled. In Narnia she eventually she grew too big, but now she is small and snuggleable again. Peter is her favorite, and if she’s upset, he’ll tickle her and tell bad jokes until she’s smiling again, but really she loves cuddling with all her family. She grew up without her parents; how many times did she just want to crawl into her mom’s lap and her mom was a world away? Imagine the first time she realizes she can now. Or, imagine one day, a cold and grey sort of day, when the rain is pattering against the windows, and it sounds like the rain on the windows of the Professor’s house, that first day they went exploring. It sounds like the day they played hide and seek. It sounds so like the rain on the windows of Cair Paravel, that if Lucy closes her eyes she can imagine she’s back there, having tea and chatting with Mr. Tumnus before the fireplace of her room, and soon the rain will stop, and they will go out on the balcony and wave to the naiads and the dryads and the mermaids, who have come out to enjoy the rain and visit one other on the banks of the Great River winding past Cair Paravel down to the sea.

But if Lucy looks out the window, all she’ll see is the rain over London, so it’s not only a cold and grey sort of day, it’s a lonely sort of day too.

Susan and Edmund are playing chess in the living room (and they must have studied with Professor Kirke, thinks their mother, because they certainly weren’t that good when they left). Lucy goes over to Edmund, and oh dear, thinks their mother, now he’s going to call her a baby and be horrible to her, but instead he picks her up and puts her on his lap without even taking his eyes off the chessboard; it’s simply a matter of course.

“Doesn’t the rain sound familiar?” says Lucy in a solemn, wistful way.

Their mother doesn’t know what that means, but her siblings must, because Susan says, “Yes, Lu, it does,” and Edmund gives her a little hug with his free arm as she tucks herself under his chin to watch the chess match.

(Five minutes later there is a crash from the next room as Peter falls off a counter. Their mother does not understand the words he must have picked up from the Professor, but he’s grounded for them anyway. His siblings have no respect for their High King, because they refuse to stop laughing.)

Lucy Pevensie and Caspian.

HEAD-CANON: Sometime in the voyage of the dawn traveller, Caspian was shocked by Lucy’s beauty.

Lucy Pevensie And Caspian.

He was walking around the ship seeing his crew members enjoy the sunset, when all of a sudden he stopped by the view. Because there, talking with Edmund was Lucy and she looked beautiful.

The warm sun gave her cheeks a red flush, the golden light touching hew face and giving her features a grown look.

That was the moment Caspian knew she wasn’t a baby anymore; She was a queen, she had always been a queen. Her red scarlet lips had a warm smile but there was a fire in her eyes that allowed him to know that she was a warrior.

Whoever had the honor to call her wife would be lucky. He had said that no one would be like Susan, but for a second, just a tiny second, he knew that was a lie.

Because Lucy was as beautiful as the sea, and she had a fire as powerful as the sunset. And he wished, by God he wished he could call her his.

And as she turned around and looked at him, his heart shipped a beat.

She wasn’t a kid anymore.

And he had let his opportunity pass, but if it ever came back.

If it only came back...

He would be hers

And she would be his.

The voyage of the dawn treader: Caspian finds Lucy in the sea.

AU:

The shout of the crew member startled Caspian. He was looking at a map and now he was rushing on the deck beause of the alert “There is someone in the water”.

Without thinking, he jumped to the water and his loyals crewmates followed behind him. As soon as he got ut of the water he heard a scream.

“LUCY!” He turned around and found a pair of black eyes passing by him as if he weren’t there at all. He frowned confused, he was looking at Edmund but Edmund was ignoring him.

“EDMUND!” Caspian looked behind Edmund as Edmund turned around encountering a blond kid splashing on the water like crazy “HELP ME!” A crew member immediately swam towards the kid and Edmund kept calling for Lucy. But where was Lucy?

Caspian turned around and started looking for her too but she was nowhere to be seen; his heart was beating quickly against his ribcage because there was no way he could allow a Pevensy to be lost in his seas.

In their seas, because they were sovereigns in Narnia too and the country was rightfully theirs.

He saw a bronce head go over water and swam towards it immediately, as he was getting closer he recognised it was a girl.

Bronce hair, milky white skin, hazel eyes and freckles that gave her an innocent look. Lucy was here.

“EDMUND!” Lucy shouted and turned towards him “ED...” Her voice stopped as her eyes found his and a smile that kicked the air out of his lungs filled her face with joy “Caspian!” She swam towards him and as she was about to reach him, she went under water; his arm moved on its own as it reached for her and pulled her out of the water towards him. Her small body crashed against his causing a small sound to leave her. He smiled at her just as she looked up to find his eyes.

“Lucy” He muttered and Lucy smiled even more “Welcome back” A giggle came from Lucy and together they swam towards the ship, when they arrived a swing like structure was pushed from the ship and he placed both of them on it “Hold on” He whispered to her as she stood on the wood. His eyes followed the dhape of her body and he frowned.

Lucy Pevensy was a woman now. Her body showed it.

As they were being pulled up, one of Lucy’s hands went to his waist to support herself. Caspian’s wole body tensed up at the touch and he reminded himself how he had known Lucy since she was a little girl.

But she is older thann you, a voice in his head whispered, years older than you.

He shaked his head to shake the tought away and stared at his crew when they were up. He jumped to the ship and stretched his hand towards Lucy who smiling took it as she looked around. A blanket was given to him but he gave it to her: Her clothes were tight against her body and more than one member of is crew was staring.

After giving a sharp look to some of his men, he looked at Lucy and found her eyes not on his face but on his chest. He looked down and found the shirt being see through, he looked at her and a light blush had rested on her cheeks. Contemp, he placed the blanket around her shoulders around her shoulders and the took one for himself while putting one arm around her shoulders.

Better to prove that she was a Queen still.

And he better remind everyone that royals belonged together.

Day 3: Peter Pevensie X Reader: Mirror Sex

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/n: Apologies for this being super late. Writer's block is ass. Also sorry for it being short. 18+ Smut
Warnings: Smut, Mirror sex. P in V.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's ten minutes till dinner and I'm in my room finishing up getting ready. Smoothing down my dress in the mirror. Lucy and Susan are sitting on the bed chatting to each other and waiting for me so we can all walk down together.

“You look fine Y/n.” Susan says. Lucy nods in agreement.

“Thank you. Just want to make sure it looks okay I mean, Peter is down there and I just..I want to look nice you know?” I say nervously.

Susan gets off the bed and walks over to me, “I get it, but it’s Peter we’re talking about. He won’t care.” She said, rubbing my back in comfort.

“I still don’t understand your crush on my brother Y/n.” Lucy says also getting off the bed.

I rolled my eyes, “Of course you won't Lu, he’s your brother” I said. She just smiles and shakes her head.

I take one more look in the mirror and then turn around and take a big breath. “Alright, I'm ready. Let’s go.” I said

We all turn around and leave the bedroom, walking down the stairs. I can hear grunting and rustling. We get down stairs and see the boys. Edmund and Peter, wrestling each other.

Me and Lucy look at each other and roll our eyes. We stand there for another minute before Susan clears her throat. They stop, and slowly turn their heads to see us standing there.

I cross my arms and raise my eyebrows. “What, are you boys doing?” I ask.

They scramble off the ground and dust off their clothes, Edmond clears his throat, “we were just messing around.” he said nonchalantly.

“Of course you were.” I said back. I look over at Peter to see him staring at me but when he notices me looking he clears his throat and looks away.

“We should head to dinner. It’s almost 8 and Ms.Chatham said the food is almost ready.”He said, heading to the dining room.

We all follow him. Taking our places at the table. Ms.Pevensie is already there.

“About time children. Ms.Chatham is about to bring out the food. Sit, sit.” She said,

“Apologies Mum, we lost track of the time.” Peter said.

“It's quite alright but do not make a habit of this.” She said in a warning tone.

As she finished this. The food started coming out. The servers, Justine and Mikey, start plating everyone. Starting with Ms.Pevensie, seeing as she is at the head of the head, then Peter and I since we are on the right side of the table. Susan is at the other end and Edmund and Lucy are on the other side.

“Thank you Justine and Mikey. You are excused until dessert.: Ms Pevensie said.

They quickly walked back to the kitchen and we began to eat. Dinner time is quiet as usual. Everyone is too hungry to enjoy conversation.

As I'm taking a bite of the pasta, I feel a breath on my ear.

“You look lovely tonight Y/n.” Peter whispers in my ear.

I Blush and nod, “Thank you Pete.” I said back

He smiles and we go back to eating.

We all finish the meal in silence.

Justine comes out a few minutes later to collect pur plates.

“Excuse me for a moment. I need to use the restroom” I say standing up.

The bathroom is down the hall and then when you turn left it's the 3rd door. It's a good distance from the bathroom.

I go about my business in the restroom. Washing my hands and drying them. As I open the door to leave. I get pushed back in.

“Woah!” I yell. Looking up to see Peter closing and locking the door.

“Pete, What the hell are you doing?” I asked.

He looks at me for a sec before slowly walking towards me.

“I don’t know. I just..can’t get the image of you in this dress,” he takes a finger and runs it down my side, “out of my head” He whispers.

My breath hitches and my mouth gaps a little.

‘W-what do you mean?” I ask.

He looks me up and down and then looks me in my eyes.

“I think you know what I mean darling.” He says. His face is getting closer to mine.

My eyes close slightly as he gets closer and closer. His lips ghost over mine, and his hands grip my waist.

Just as I think he's gonna kiss me, he quickly turns me around and pushes me up against the sink so we’re now looking at each other through the mirror.

“What are you doing?” I ask. Try to wiggle free.

“What I’ve been wanting to do for a while now.” He responds. Giving my neck slow kisses.

My head tilts back unconsciously.

His right hand trails down to the hem of the dress and pulls it up over my waist. Still placing kisses on my neck, he moves his hand to my panties, hooking his finger under and dragging them down.

I open my eyes slightly and make eye contact with him in the mirror.

My hand reaches back and grips his cock, slowly rubbing it for a few seconds before pulling it out and rubbing it on my entrance.

He hisses and his head tilts slightly. He removes my hand and takes over, slowly pushing inside me. I moaned, but I guess too loudly because he had to put a hand over my mouth.

“Quiet darling. Don’t wanna get caught now do we?” He asks. I shake my head quickly.

He starts off slowly before picking up the paste.

“Imma take my hand off now, think u can stay quiet?” He asked.

I nod and he takes his hand off and puts it on the waist with the other one.

Starting to pump faster I lean over the sink, needing to grip something. My hand came in contact with the already semi steamy mirror.

He groans slightly “Oh god, i'm gonna come darling. I-I need you to come with me baby. Can you do that?” He asks hurriedly.

I nod. “Uh huh, Yes yes yes.” I whisper, my voice cracking.

“Okay baby,” he says, pumping as fast as he can, “On the count of three baby, come with me.” He says.

“1” His hands move to my shoulders for a better grip.

“2” My right hand is still gripping the mirror, my left grips his arms.

“3” He says and we both let go, I moan so loud he has to turn my head and kiss me to shut me up.

When he finally stops thrusting, we both pause for a minute to take a deep breath. My body slumps against the sink and he slowly pulls out.

He puts himself away and then turns me around. He helps me pull my panties back up and fix my dress before grabbing my face and giving me a passionate kiss.

I gasp as I pull away. “How, how long have you wanted to do that?” I ask.

He rubs my face with his thumb “Since I met you in year 9” He says and smiles.

I smile back.

“I’m pretty sure it's already obvious but if it’s not. I like you Y/n. Alot.” He says.

“I like you too Pete.” I say back. Blushing and reaching up to give him another kiss.

The Pevensie's Mode of Transport

Peter :

- a car. He owns a red Mercedes-Benz that he loves. Despite this, Peter does like to walk a lot, as he has great enthusiasm for keeping fit, and he wants to help the environment in any way he can, so he only uses it for journeys longer that take 40 minutes or more. Though he loves his car, he is saving to buy a purely electrical one. You secretly love his the Mercedes ( though you'd never admit it) and have to conceal your smug face when he pulls up by your work looking effortlessly handsome - but you allow a small smirk to cross your face at the priceless looks on the faces of nearby girls as you get in the passenger seat and greet him with a kiss.

image

Susan :

- the bus. Susan takes the bus everywhere. She knows all the buses near her and their routes, and is always a reliable journey planner guide. She thinks it's easier and simpler, and doesn't see the point of having a car. If the bus is late, she just walks. You share this opinion, and will happily walk down the street dressed to the nines for a date. As long as she's there, you don't mind.

Edmund :

- public transport. Like Susan, Edmund knows all the buses and routes, but not just near him, he knows all the buses in London. It's the same for the tube. He uses the underground almost every day. Edmund does however, own a black Triumph Bonneville, so he can drive you to dates or pick you up in style if you need a lift. He also just thinks it looks cool, which it does.

image

Lucy :

- a bike. Lucy owns a navy blue bike as it's eco and good exercise. She doesn't have a job as she's still at school, and therefore doesn't need anything else. Like her siblings, Lucy does like to walk as often as she can. You own a bike of the same brand but in black, and it looks cute when you go out riding together.

Edmund One-Shot (Modern) - How You Met

A/N

Omg I haven’t posted in sooo looooong. Well, here ya go.

E/C = Eye Colour

You walked down the corridor in your favourite worn out jeans, a red and black flannel shirt , and your signature brown ankle boots. It was the first day back at school, and you were carrying your books for the next period, your backpack haphazardly thrown on your right shoulder. You didn't really care what people thought of you; all you cared about was getting to the lesson before that damn bell. Since you were looking down, you didn't notice someone was in front of you until you found yourself on the floor.

"I'm so sorry, are you okay?" a male voice exclaimed. You looked up, your heart stopping for a millisecond. It was Edmund Pevensie. The most popular boy in your year, and arguably in the entire main school. You immediately felt uncomfortable. You didn't have much of an opinion on him, but you always preferred to stay in the shadows, and were perfectly happy to go unseen.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry, it was my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going." You replied, collecting yourself. You thanked the stars that the corridor wasn't full. You looked down, not noticing Edmund quickly turn around and glare at his older brother, who held his hands up as if to say "what?" before turning around and walking away, trying to suppress his laughter. With a sigh, Edmund turned back round to you, extending his hand.

"I'm Edmund. Edmund Pevensie" He said.

"I know." a beat passed. "Sorry, that sounds weird, I just mean that I know your name because most people do, and I've seen you around, and, yeah I'm going to stop talking now." You got out in one breath, blushing in embarrassment as he you accepted his hand, and you were pulled from the floor.

"I'm Y/N." you said in a small voice, finally introducing yourself.

"I know." You looked up to see an impish grin on the young Pevensie's face. You stared at each other, and a second passed before you both chuckled, albeit awkwardly, as you bent down to collect your things.

As you checked over everything, you noticed you were missing a textbook. Then, it came into your line of eyesight, attached to Edmund's pale hand. You looked up, noticing he was observing you with a small smile on his face. Muttering a quiet thank you, you took the book, but your eyes widened seeing the watch on his wrist.

"Oh god! It's almost time for class!" you exclaimed. The ebony-haired boy looked at his watch, his eyes widening too as he saw the time.

"Shit!" he cursed, turning back to you. "Sorry for bumping into you Y/N, I'll...see you around?" he asked, his hazel eyes bright and...hopeful?

"Oh, um, yeah, I...I guess so." you replied, unsure of yourself.

"Great!" he exclaimed, excited, "Bye!" you close-enough-to-waved back until he turned around. Just then, the bell rang, and you took off down the corridor, just making it in time and almost forgetting about your encounter with the dark-haired Pevensie. Almost.

***

Edmund silently copied down what was on the board, his thoughts centred on the E/C girl for around the 1000th time. He'd liked her since Year 9, when she moved up a year from Year 8. He was also mentally cursing his older brother and his sixth-form free periods, which he seemed to think was a perfect time to visit his younger brother and push him into his year-long crush. He had to give himself some credit though – he handled the situation pretty well. The door opened and he looked up, and who should enter but Y/N. She turned to the teacher and explained that she had a music lesson. The teacher nodded.

"That's fine. Your seat is over there next to Edmund." Y/N's head snapped over to him before turning back to the teacher and nodding. Edmund's heart raced as she made her way over, before forcing a strange sounding "Hi" out of his mouth. She quietly greeted him back before opening her exercise book and started copying down the notes on the board.

***

"Okay everyone, your homework is a project with your desk partner. It's only small, and has no point other than to help you get to know each other. All the details will be on Google Classroom." the teacher said.

As you left the classroom, Edmund gave you a crumpled piece of paper.

"Here. Text me when you know when we can start working."

"O-okay." You replied gaining a small scrap of confidence, though still internally freaking out at the prospect of doing a 'bonding exercise' in the form of a history project. "Will do." you swallowed.

"See you then!" he said flashing his perfect, white teeth and turning around, jogging over to his siblings.

"See you," you replied quietly once he was out of earshot.

This might not be that bad. He seems nice – and smart, you thought.

I still hate people though, you firmly told yourself, before walking home.

Instruments the Pevensie's Would Play

Peter

Violin

Piano

Guitar

Peter picked up the violin at the age of five after hearing a busker play on the street. Ever since, he's been dedicated to the instrument, always trying to improve. Peter is a talented, expressive player, and is equally good at fast and slow pieces. He was the first Pevensie at his music school, and the teachers were over the moon when they heard that more of his family would be joining.

When Peter was eight, he decided that he wanted to learn the piano as well, and was a fast learner, quickly excelling at the instrument. He found it calming to sit down and play such a relaxing instrument when he felt stressed by the responsibility of being the eldest.

When Peter was twelve, he picked up the guitar, finding the chordal instrument relatively easy after having learnt violin for seven years. He trained in classical guitar, but is amazing at electric and bass too.

Susan

Voice

Piano

Harp (in Narnia)

Susan always had a great interest in culture, music especially, so it's no wonder she balanced so many instruments.

Susan loved to sing from an early age, and decided she wanted classes when she was nine. These consisted mostly of phrasing, a few arias and popular songs, as well breath control. At fourteen, her singing lessons became more serious, and she started to explore the techniques of operatic singing, officially starting classical pieces at fifteen. She joined the choir shortly after beginning her singing lessons and is easily the best soprano there, meaning she gets lots of solos and duets. Susan is a soprano with a 2-3 octave range.

There was a piano in the Pevensie household. Helen Pevensie had it because she took lessons when she was younger, and wanted to keep practising her skills even after she stopped. When Susan started showing interest, she taught her some basic scales and tunes. When Susan turned eight, she began to go to professional classes like her older brother, and they coincidentally had the same teacher.

Susan had always liked the harp, and longed to learn how to play the elegant instrument, but its cost, weight, and size prevented her from doing so. You can imagine her surprise then, when she discovered that the harp was played in Narnia. Susan quickly sought out the best teacher she could find (a dryad) and began to learn. By the time her and her siblings accidentally stumbled back through the wardrobe, she was an exceptional player, and her talent at the harp – along with the piano and singing – was a contributing factor to the number of marriage proposals she received.

Edmund

Violin

Viola

Piano (kind of)

Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Edmund started playing violin at the age of five. Like Peter, he was excelled at the instrument, astounding his teacher and those who went to the music school concerts with his technique, tone and style.

However, when he was eleven, Edmund began to show interest in the viola. He found its low pitch and sound pleasing to the ear, and though it greatly lacks in repertoire – and is made fun of by violinists and other string players – he found himself drawn to the shunned instrument, seeing the beauty behind its sombre sound. His violin teacher offered to give him lessons free of charge, as the family already gave so much to the school, and Edmund accepted. He knew it wouldn't be difficult, as the technique was the same as that of the violin, and he would only need to get used to a bigger instrument and reading in alto clef.

Once in Narnia, he decided that he would learn the piano. When Peter found him sitting down trying to figure out how to play, he offered to teach him, and very soon, piano duets filled the halls of Cair Paravel every Saturday.

Lucy

Cello

Voice

When Lucy was six, she heard a recording of Jacqueline du Pré playing Elgar's cello concerto in E minor. When it came on the radio, she stopped reading her book and went completely silent. Lucy was entranced by the music, and the deep, rich tone of the cello. Afterwards, the youngest Pevensie decided it was time for her to take up music lessons. Getting her first cello is one of the happiest moments of her life, and as she grew older, she only loved it more. Even the way you play the cello - as if you are hugging it - matched Lucy's affection for her instrument perfectly. Her favourite piece she's played so far is The Swan by Saint-Saëns, and her dream is to play the Elgar concerto that first inspired her to take up the cello.

Lucy also loves to sing, and has a bright joyful voice. Though she never took private lessons, she is in the choir at the music school the Pevensies go to and loves every minute of it - especially when she gets to proudly watch Susan do a solo. Lucy is a mezzo-soprano with a 2 octave range.

Preference (Modern) : Your Favourite Disney Movie

Peter

Tangled. You and Peter had liked each other for a while, and you were both nervous when a movie night was arranged. Before the lantern scene, Susan excused herself to go and take a phone call, Edmund was called to tidy his room by his mum, and a scheming Lucy conveniently decided to go and refill all the food bowls. You both started to sing along to 'I See the Light' and before you knew it, the song had ended and you were kissing.

Susan

Frozen II. While you both enjoyed the first one, you liked the ancient/mythic route the second film took. You also love hearing Susan openly sing along, because she's normally quite shy about her singing voice, however many times you insist that it's amazing. You're both waiting for a third film where Elsa finally get a girlfriend.

Edmund

Beauty and the Beast. Edmund gets very cynical and sarcastic about Disney romance films, but whenever you start to put this DVD in the player, he's already on the sofa with crisps and chocolate. It's not the film itself that you two love (though it is amazing), it's the memories. About a month into your relationship, you went to watch a re-release of Beauty and the Beast in a local cinema. You really wanted go to it so Edmund took you, and that was the moment you both realised that what you felt for each other could be love. After the film, you went to a secluded area in the snowy, cold park and had your first kiss.

Lucy

The Lion King. This film is special to Lucy because it reminds her of Aslan, and anything that makes her happy makes you happy. The neighbours sometimes get annoyed hearing you singing along to the soundtrack but you two couldn't care less.

Caspian

Moana. Caspian has an obsession with the sea. He loves to sail on holiday, and was beyond excited when a Disney film came out that challenged the stereotypes made by its predecessors as well as making fun of them, while putting one of his favourite things on screen.

The Pevensie children are too old for their age.

Their mom notices, at the dinner table. She sees no nagging children, no stupid fights. She sees Lucy eating and speaking with perfect manners, Edmund analysing the economy and war with concerning skill, Susan being gracious but poised, like a diplomat.

Their father sees it in Peters eyes the first time they get into a fight. When he moves to punish Edmund for speaking out of turn, Peter calls him out on it. When his gaze meet his eldest son's, he's leveled by the war he sees behind it, the tensed muscle in his arm, the knuckles white around his knife. He's seen that before, in other soldiers. He doesn't know how to react.

Other children notice, too. Talking to all the Pevensie kids at the same time is like being the only one left out of a secret, and the way they touch and tease each other speaks of a history far deeper than their polite demeneor lets on. And when they walk they fall in line, as if there is a natural hierarchy between them.

The first time anyone picks a fight with Edmund, Peter comes home with a three week suspension and blood around his mouth. He looks more alive than you've seen him in weeks.

When Susan gets back in the pool after Narnia, she wins all the contests. Coaches can't explain how to beat her, because they don't understand how she's doing it, either. She seems to almost disappear when underwater.

Lucy, always gay and golden-haired, starts dancing, and never misses a step. She moves with an elegance that no 10 year old should have, and all the girls want to be friends with her

Edmund soon becomes the best student in his faculty. He always seems to know the right thing to say, and teachers laud his ability to think through complex problems. His mouth does get him in trouble sometimes, but the boy seems uncatchable, always talking his way through the cracks. And if not?

No one actively fears Peter, but everyone is a little scared of him sometimes. He's tall for his age, sure, but there is something else, some other air that seems to give him an authority far beyond what's normal for a teenage boy. He's nice enough, but teachers can't stand it, and bullies learn very quickly that pissing him off means missing teeth and black eyes.

The Pevensies are not quite inhuman, but not fully mortal, either
