“Okay so Christmas tradition starts now.” Sirius shouted abruptly as he entered the Gryffindor common room. Where the Marauders and their girls were sitting around on the couches by the lit fire, trying to stay warm with how cold the weather had been and the castle walls absorbing it.

“Which one?” Remus raised a brow at his high energy friend. There are a lot of traditions when it comes to celebrating christmas.

“Yeah, Padfoot. There’s a lot of them.” James looked on at Sirius amused at his behavior.

Sirius smirked and dropped a bag on the table in between the couches.

“Chestnuts?” Peter read the words on the bag with a furrowed expression.

“Yes.” Sirius nodded, smiling at his friends as they all looked at him curiously. “Chestnuts roasting over an open fire.”

“These aren’t chestnuts.” Y/n stated opening the bag with a smile forming on her face in amusement picking out a marshmallow and eating it.

“... Marshmallows roasting over an open fire.” Sirius corrected himself as they all stared at him in amusement and confusion.

Y/n shrugged with a smile and tilted her head looking at the others. “They’ll taste better.”

“Exactly.” Sirius explained, smiling at his girl. At least she got it. Roasted marshmallows taste way better than nuts.

“I’m bored.” James grumbled bored out of his mind.

“We all are.” Sirius pointed out rolling his head to the side, annoyed at their lack of activities to do.

“We need to do something.” James added, frustrated with his boredom.

“Like what?” Y/n questions, wondering what he might have in mind.

“I don’t know. . .” He sighs leaning back into the common room couch.

“Our activities are limited due to the snow.” Remus says pointing out their restriction on activities they could do.

“Well then what can we do in the snow?” James asked, sitting up and leaning his elbows on his knees thinking.

Y/n smirked as she came up with an idea. Turning her attention to her big black dog of a friend next to her on the couch. “We could go dog sledding. We already have one. Right, Padfoot?”

They all started laughing at Y/n’s words. Sirius playfully glared at her.

“Oh sweetheart you're gonna get it for that. Just you wait.” He told her, narrowing his eyes at her playfully, for the comment.

“Looking forward to it.” Y/n winked with a smile.

“I actually think Y/n’s idea would be fun.” James spoke up with amusement on his face.

“Really?” Sirius just deadpanned looking towards his friend, clearly not amused like everyone else from Y/n’s comment. But then he thought of one of his own. “You know we could do a sleigh ride. We do have a deer. Right Prongs?”

Y/n and Remus could not hold in their laughter.

“Bugger off mate.” James said while throwing a couch pillow at his black haired friend.

“Y/n started it.” Sirius screechted blaming the y/h/c-ed girl next to him as he tried to use her as a shield.

“Hey!” Y/n yelled as the pillow came at them, and for Sirius trying to blame her for his comment. 

“Come up with one for Mooney Sweetheart?” James asked once they calmed down some, hoping for another amusing comment.

“That's for Halloween.” She smirked at the boys while Remus just shook his head fondly, having heard her words for him before and actually found it funny.

“Huh?” James and Sirius said at the same time looking at her confused.

Y/n and Remus looked at each other before saying at the sametime. “Ahhh Ooo werewolves of London!”

All four of them laughed at that, enjoying their time together and the jokes they said.

“Where have you been?” Draco asked as Y/n finally came and sat at the Slytherin in the great hall.

“Umbridge gave me detention for the entire month.” Y/n scoffed annoyed at the way things had become. School was where she felt she could relax some, since Malfoy Manner wasn’t a place of relaxation. But with all the changes school was feeling a lot like home.

“Why?” Draco furrowed his brow concerned and concerned and confused for his sister.

“She said it was because I kept my desk’s to disoganized.” Y/n shrugged not to sure why she got detention in the first place.

“Thats bull.” Draco scowled, his sister was always so clean and kept. Draco didn’t believe it for a second. Besides why would someone get detention for that?

“I agree.” Y/n nodded.

“At least its just a month.” He concluded hoping to ease her nerves that Draco was sure she was feeling. Knowing their parents were to hear of this and not be thrilled.

“Yeah.” Y/n sighed, hoping that the letter going home about this detention would get lost.

It wasn’t home she should of been worrying about as she soon learned. Once she started her series of detentions Y/n Malfoy found out who the true monster in Hogwarts was.

Detention was terribly stressful and anxiety ridden. On top of that she had gotten a letter from home that wasn’t the nicest ither. But from the words written it didn’t sound like they were told ‘why’ she was having detentions, and y/n felt like if they knew ‘why’ then they wouldn’t be nearly as mad.

But Y/n was to afraid to write back. What if it made things worse, what if Umbridge intercepted her letter?! No way, she couldn’t risk it and make her punishments worse.

But it was becoming increasingly hard to hide her hand from her brother. Their twin bond didn’t help and she could tell Draco knew something was up. Y/n was worried if she told him that he might view her as weak.

All that came crashing down around her one day in the library. Draco came storming in and headed straight towards her and sat down. Determined to get answers.

“What's wrong Draco?” Y/n asked once he sat down having watched his dramatic entrance, and noticing her antsy behavior.

“Why’s your hand wrapped?” He asked. It had been bothering him for awhile, he was already concerned about his twin 24/7. But seeing her hurt was ripping him apart on the inside.

“I got hurt.” Y/n cast her gaze downward, nervously picking at a loose thread on her skirt.

“How? Let me see.” Draco jumps immediately into protective mode, very concerned.

“Draco-”

Y/n tried to stop him but he had already reached foreward and grabbed abhold of her hand. Pulling off the bandage wrap and exposing the carvings into her hand that would definitely scar.

“What’s this?” Draco questioned with wide eye’s looking between Y/n and her torn up hand. Seeing horrible, nasty, un-true words carved into her hand made Draco want to cry. And with looking into his sisters eye’s seeing all the emotions and tears in them broke his heart. “Y/n, where’d you get this? Who did this to you?”

Y/n knew there was no point in trying to lie to him now that he’s seen the evidence. “Umbridge, and at detention. It’s her version of it.”

“This is unethical and torture.” He growled in anger that someone dared to harm his sister.

“Trust me, I know.” Y/n pulled her hand back and wrapped it back up again, so it wouldn’t get infected but also so no one would see.

“How many times?” Draco asked even though he knows he doesn’t want to hear it’s been more than once, he knows it’s been more than 1 time.

“4. So far. But I still have the rest of the month.” She told him shakily, nervous about having to go through more of this torture.

“I’ll tell father and mother about this. She’s not going to touch you again.” Draco states pulling her into him to comfort her, noting her shakiness, which he’s very sure was going to lead to a panic attack.

That night after dinner Draco wrote a letter explaining the situation to their parents on paper, and sent it around midnight to assure no one would notice anywhere in the castle.

Robb stood there in their shared tent staring at his wife. He knew she was hurting but was bottling it up. She didn’t want to look weak or like a traitor to their men but Robb knew it wasn’t healthy. He could see it taking a toll on her and that was starting to hurt him as well. Once the last person had left the tent and they were alone Robb decided it was time to talk about it. “I am sorry my love.”

“For what your Grace?” Y/n asked confused on what he had to be sorry for.

“I know it hurts you to see him typed up out there.” Robb stated, cutting straight to the chase but still wanting to be considerate of her feelings.

It was silent for a few minutes. Y/n had a feeling that he had been wanting to bring this up for awhile. But Y/n didn’t know how exactly to explain how she felt about the situation.

“He is my uncle. He’s the only person that’s always been there for me and supported all my decisions.” Y/n couldn’t even begin to explain all that Jaime had done for her in her life. “My father could give a crap about us kids and my mother only cares about power. Jaime, he actually cares.”

Robb had seen first hand when they visited Winterfell how her parents were. And he saw how close she was with her Kingsgaurd uncle. “I’m sorry.”

Robb knew they had good parents growing up, one’s that cared. His wife didn’t have that.

“And if the rumors are true than I guess, he’s my blood father.” Y/n feared  saying it out loud. Not anything against her ‘Uncle’, but the fact why would anyone want to be around or love the child of incest. She had a hard enough time finding love  just having Lannister blood run through her veins. “That makes me someone you shouldn’t be with.”

Y/n dropped her head trying to hide her tears and defeated expression. She had truly come to fall in love with her husband and now because of her family's mistakes she could lose him.

Robb rushed over to her cupping her cheeks and pulled her inot a passionate kiss. “I love you, I do not care about who your parents are. My love for you will never change. That I promise.”

Y/n gave him a watery smile. “I love you to my wolf.”

“I won’t kill him.” Robb spoke up after some time.

Y/n pulled back to look at her husband, giving him a sad but appreciative smile. The fact that he wants to spare Jaime for her is heartwarming, but she knew he couldn't. “You can’t promise me  that. As much as you’d like to, you can’t. If your men-”

“Fuck what my men want.” He cut her off. He was King of the North now he could do what he wanted.

“He injured your father.” Y/n continued back with sad eyes.

“He’s not the one that killed him.” Robb pulled her closer by the hips. Yes she had a point with both things. But so did he.

“I’m sorry-”

“You have nothing to apologize for.” Robb cut her off again. She was not to blame for anything that had happened.

“They’re my family, and they're tormenting yours. Their the ones doing all this.” Y/n hated that she was put into the middle of everything just because of blood and marriage.

“You’ve been with me the whole time. You have had no part in it. In any of it, so none of it is your fault. You are not to blame. They’re tormenting you as well by putting you in the middle of all this.” Robb pulled her against his chest with an arm around her waist holding her to him, while the other rested on the back of her neck. Looking her in the eye’s to prove his seriousness. “I won’t kill Jaime. For you I won’t. But the other Lannisters. . .”

Y/n nodded knowing what he meant. “I know. . . Thank you.”

“You are my wife, my Queen. You do not need to thank me.” Robb shook his head. With him she’d always have a voice. He would never dictate her life.
