okay here's part two, there'll be a part three for more shit but on a another note, here are some headcanons of otto and noone teehee OTTO : I like to believe he's around his 30s to near 40s, he seems really old and having at least some sort of accomplished life, we often hear about his professor and his profession and you know, I don't think he was ever treating cece ( cici ? ) like people imagined given she was taken so young so what I like to think is if he did, he'd at least be by his teens or so, but it could be a thing that he just wasn't and got into counseling to try and look for ways to actually move on with his life or look into what happened. so roughly at least 37 - years - old to me, and definitely uses he / him pronouns, I think this man is so lost in his past at some points that he forgets that he has a future so he didn't seek out romantic relationships, maybe a friendship, but he likely does NOT have a lot of friends, and it's like. you know this especially because the times where his co-workers and him are brought up, he is not close with any of them, he has a distaste for the higher-ups even, so it's like no one there is really friendly with each other. so, by that medium, I see it as : he has only ever engaged with people with a sort of pleasantry but nothing beyond that and if he is interested in you, it likely is one sided because I see it as this man has NO RIZZ. HE CAN'T FLIRT. HE CAN"T EVEN BE PROPERLY SOCIAL EITHER. also otto is biromantic asexual because I said so. yes. however, on the topic of romantic involvements, I do think at one point he really did try to move on from his trauma and have a partner but it didn't go through, because in some ways I feel like otto has a lot of survivor's guilt and issues and to me he always would try to be as sweet as he can but not realize for as much as he wants to be a good partner, his mental health issues always got in the way so he couldn't exactly do much. and I also think on the top of that, otto maybe tried to have kids with someone at one point because he seems so much like a fatherly figure to me with the way he acts around noone that it's like, he had to have had a desire for it at some point but it never ended up going through. either because many attempts failed or on top of that, you know, divorced before anything could be done about that want. beyond that, I like the idea of otto having a weird fashion sense and really like a lot of coats, long silks, anything that he can generally get comfortable and snuggle up into. and in my eyes, I feel like he'd even try to get something for noone because he has been so prone to gifts as a means of trying to have her feel comfortable in something that isn't standard for patients to wear. with the way he seemingly has a love for astronomy, that man is the astronomy bitch of a college friend group and you cannot convince me otherwise

Giving the adults more sympathy and them also being victims in both tson world and the world of nowhere is just so much nuanced then kids good adults bad! HONESTLY THATS WHY I KEEP GOING ' I just don't see otto as a bad person ' because in spite of every little thing that this man has done it is rooted in the fact he couldn't get over a trauma and he has to live with that daily. to me, there is obviously a lot of characters in the games who've displayed signs that they're not all entirely good, but then moments where none are entirely bad either. mind you I feel like I'm one of the few people who also think about six's betrayal and go ' in her perspective, it was understandable ' because no one ever really thinks about how she saw mono's face, in spite of the fact that her being transformed into a monster was as horrible as it was, she was comfortable and safe for one of the few times in the game beyond the start, it was an imprisonment that she could at least respect, so mono " saving " her from becoming a monster, and then seeing his face and knowing he was ultimately just the thin man all along was really a gut punch of her having her world crashing down, and in general I feel like to some degree a lot of the people who become monsters within the realm of TSON / LN really become DIFFERENT people, they always have, so not only was six vengeful but, she wasn't entirely herself after that. you could chalk up the monsters like the teacher as being potentially at one point normal, because she still engages with a lot of the habits a teacher does but then it's like, is she? because she still is very aggressive, in ways a teacher shouldn't be, she morphs, all of that, and it's just odd. this world not only brings about nightmares but it twists people the longer they stay there and it has always been the adults in some means but it just as much the children, because to put it bluntly : all of them have the capacity to become worse people, within any time of their lives.

it's just those who haven't are likely the most lucky ones, and to me otto is probably the BEST person we could ever get who genuinely is just good who isn't a child, and I feel like people need to understand, he is so shitty, but he is nuanced in what he does. his comfort to noone is as much projecting as it is he genuinely cares for her and he can't help but project in my eyes because he sees' someone experiencing that all and just does not want to go through it again. noone and otto are kind of trauma bonded like that to me. but otto goes so far, he mixes his own desires of wanting things for himself between wanting to help noone and it shows. going, " he is your tormentor " in ways whereas noone is and isn't tormented. she is not afraid of the ferryman / the candleman. otto is, he always has been, and he just merges that idea into one. all of his actions are attempts to try and do better, and honestly like : one of the things I genuinely always thought of as like ' otto just wants to try and do better ' is the fact he did not tell noone about her tumor. yes, she did need to know but after all was said and done, they'd been arguing and he had no real way to bring it up and he still wanted to find out what was going on with the nightmares, with cece, so how could he? and also it's like, that is something that ultimately needed to be looked into because it was a spiral-like eye tumor in her BRAIN, like dude. yeah, I do think that's cause for concern, and he doesn't have this sort of ' oh I win ' attitude when she finds out, he's as cold as he is really upset to me. and it's why after all is said and done, he tried to at least still do an experiment while she was asleep at least to figure out for himself what was going on and honestly idea because I think of it : the flesh eyes from little nightmares 2 which are connected to the thin man, I feel like they're infecting noone's brain because it is so SPECIFIC to have noone getting a tumor as a result of the constant nightmares like the flesh is literally taking over her body from the inside the more she has them and doesn't allow the ferryman to take her. so, it's like, I feel like something will happen to otto but I feel like something WAY WORSE is going to happen to noone. because it kind of adds up especially with the way otto had an interaction with an eye on that monitor and freaking out the way he did and the thin man's soundtrack song lightly playing in the background of that.

am I really working on an animatic to do a tumblr request? yeah.. not a final outfitting for otto but it seemed the best if it was just a sweater + some lil' dangly scarf bits, noon is also in this but I need to work on some frames for her, I got a whole audio from chapter four so it'll be based in that if y'all are curious on that

ramblings time but on god, I love how twisted otto actually does get because you can tell what IS affecting it : he hasn't been sleeping. he has been so obsessed with noone's nightmares not just because of cece ( cici ?? I don't know ) because of the potential to dream, to actually rest, something he neglected doing by CHOICE even after looking after noone and you can tell what toll it has taken on otto and his behaviors, like the abnormal aggression just isn't entirely trauma relative, it is genuinely out of the fact he has not been resting and even then, he couldn't sleep, for some reason he couldn't even though he actually SHOULD'VE been tired around the point of noone's story.

and honest to god, I genuinely see both sides of the coin on how upset noone is and how upset otto is but I feel like without saying it they both have been crossing some dangerous ass lines recently. and otto trying to make up for it in the beginning is sweet but he REALLY misses the mark because he neglects noone's own needs to try and talk about her parents, to mention the tumor in her brain, but on the flip side there's noone trying to say that otto's own sister wanted to be taken away because she wanted to get away from otto and how he like mumbled about how he was " just a boy " it's so. they're hurting each other and they don't know how to not do that, and the last bit of the episode really puts it all in perspective with this because it shows the dynamic between the two that is front and center :

" each wanted what the other had " with noone wanting to stop the nightmares and to not be sick and otto wanting to continue them for knowledge and to know where his sister had went.

I know this story is going to have a really horrible end to it but I know more than anything that I just want better for both noone and otto
