Kim taehyung x Reader

Bambi and Yeontan were fighting over a stuffed bunny. Again. No matter how many times I warn him to stop,  Taehyung never stops pampering his babies with new toys. I was in the middle of resolving the issue when I heard the doorbell.

They froze for a second before dropping the toy and racing to the door. Sighing I picked it up and followed them to the door. I opened the door and stumbled back as an excited Milly threw her arms around me.

'Y/N!!!' she squealed.

'Milly!' I said,  laughing. 'What's going on?!'

Milly walked in and I followed her.

She turned around dramatically and held her hand up. A beautiful diamond ring sparkled on her ring finger and she gave me a wide grin.

I stared at the ring and back at her,  screaming loudly. I hugged her, both of us jumping in excitement.

'Oh my God! Milly!' I said,  examining the ring. 'When?'

'Last night!  I came as soon as I could!' she said,  her eyes softening. She watched as I my eyes went to my own ring. I swallowed that feeling and gave her a bright smile.

'I'm so happy for you guys!' I said,  touching her cheek. 'Where's Joon?'

'About that,  we're going out this evening to celebrate' Milly said,  dropping her bag on the couch and sitting with a bounce.

'Umm, we?' I asked.

'Yeah,  you and us' Milly said matter-of-factly.

'No! It's seriously alright' I said,  shaking my head. 'I won't third wheel with you two!  It never ends well'

'But why?!' Milly whined.

'I love you both,  but you're gross when you're drunk' I said with a grin. 'You know it'

'No we're not!' Milly said indignantly.

We were interrupted by the opening and closing of doors. We watched as Taehyung padded into the kitchen like a blind duck in his pyjamas.

'What happened to him?' Milly asked with raised eyebrows.

'It was a cruise party last night' I replied. 'Was sleeping all day'

Her eyes brightened all of a sudden.

'Milly no.' I said, as I walked into the kitchen to help Taehyung find his food.

He sat as I served him giving Milly a weak wave. Milly sat beside him telling him about her engagement.

'You should totally come!  You're one of us now!' Milly said,  looking at Taehyung with pleading eyes.

He looked at me, and I shrugged.

'Know what?  We'll be there' Taehyung said with a smile. 'Don't worry'

'Yay!!!' Milly cheered.

A few drinks in and I knew them too well. Milly dragged Namjoon to the dancefloor, leaving Taehyung and me at our table.

'They're so cute' Taehyung said, laughing.

'Yeah they are' I said with a smile.

My mind drifted off to Jungkook. He loved how Milly and Namjoon never cared about anything. They loved each other and that's all that mattered.

'Wanna dance?'

I stared at Taehyung as he held his hand out to me.

'Sure' I said, taking his hand and following him to the dancefloor.

We began dancing and we're soon joined by Milly and Namjoon. I really didn't think I would have such fun again. It overwhelmed me. I just stood in the middle watching my friends dancing and having fun.

'Hey, you OK?' Taehyung held my hand, looking concerned.

I nodded and just moved closer, resting my forehead on his chest, my heart thudding heavily. His hand rubbed my back gently, as I felt tears blurring my vision.

I wasn't sad. I really wasn't. I was happy. I was beyond happy for Milly and Namjoon. And happy that I had someone like Taehyung in my life. I was happy that Jungkook's memories made me smile rather than break my heart. My arms went around his waist as he held me tightly against his chest.

'Hey, it's OK' he murmured. 'Do you want to go home?'

I looked up at him and smiled. He smiled back. I wiped my tears and shook my head.

'Thank you, Tae' I said. 'Thank you'

He just gazed at me, his eyes holding an emotion I couldn't quite catch. He just kissed my forehead before gathering Milly and Namjoon before making our way out.

Milly and Namjoon made disgusting kissing sounds just to irritate me. They weren't that drunk, I knew.

'Oh God! Tae, please throw them out!' I said, plugging my ears with my fingers.

'Beach! Stop!' Milly said, grabbing Taehyung's jacket. 'Please! We'll take a walk!'

The minute he stopped, the two ran out.

'Oh God' I said, covering my face with my hands as Taehyung laughed.

'Come on!  Let's take a walk' Taehyung said, getting out of the car.

The cool breeze and waves splashing at our feet made it  truly relaxing. Taehyung held my hand, swinging it slightly. He was humming softly with a smile on his face.

'Hey,  sing that out loud' I said.

'Nope' he said.

'Come on! Please!'

He shook his head,  grinning.

'You better sing right now,  Kim Taehyung!'

'Make me!' he said,  letting go of my hand and running.

I ran behind him,  accepting the challenge. I wasn't much of a runner,  I was quiet clumsy for that matter. I still managed to catch up with him,  getting a grip at the back of his shirt.

He turned around quickly and grabbed me by my waist and whisking me off my feet only to stumble and fall on to the sand.

We laughed so much that our stomachs hurt. Once I recovered, I noticed that I was lying flat against the sand and him on top of me. I blushed and I gently put a hand against his chest.

'Taehyung' I said,  as his eyes locked with mine, his lips just inches away from mine. I felt his warm breath on my face.

He shifted his weight off me gently and sat up. Hoping he couldn't hear my heartbeats,  I sat up beside him.

He began humming again.

'I hate you' I said,  punching his arm.

'You love me' he said with a grin. 'Admit it'

He leaned forward,  rubbing his cold nose against mine gently,  before getting on his feet and pulling me up off the sand.

My heart wouldn't stop beating so fast. Why was he being this way?  What's happened to him?

Jungkook x Reader (Confession Time!!)

After hours of tossing and turning,  Y/N decided she just can't sleep. Feeling grumpy and totally worn out,  she left her room with her blanket draped over her shoulders. She went down the stairs and stood at the landing not knowing what to do.

After a bit of thought she decided to watch some TV. Y/N lay on the couch stretching her legs out before flipping through the channels. Settling for a re-run of the Friends,  she took out cell phone. She had an urge to text Jungkook,  but knowing him,  she let go of the idea.Half an hour into the show,  Y/N heard footsteps and turned to find Tae coming down the stairs rubbing his eyes.

'Y/N?'

'Mmm?' she hummed looking at him with sleep deprived eyes.

'What are you doing here?'

'Can't sleep. You?'

'Same'

He came over and looked at her to give him some place to sit.

'No.' she said shaking her head. 'Go get your own couch'

'But I wanna sit here'

'TaeTae!!!' Y/N said exhaling loudly.

She pulled back her legs to make space for Tae before placing them on his lap after he sat.They watched the show in silence except for occasional giggles. In the middle of a fit of laughter they heard another set of footsteps.Y/N and Tae found Jungkook making his way towards them,  a frown on his face.

'What's going on?' he asked,  his voice clearly showing signs of irritation.

'Couldn't sleep so-' said Y/N with a shrug.

Jungkook felt his insides burn at the sight of them. Tae's eyes traveled between Y/N and Jungkook,  sensing the tension brewing.

'Alright,  goodnight then' Jungkook said firmly,  walking off without waiting for any reply.

Y/N struggled to keep her eyes open all day. She had a hard day at college,  trying not to fall asleep in class. Jungkook acted weird at lunch and refused to acknowledge her all day.

*Kookie💖*

Y/N💞: You're avoiding me. Y/N💞: What did I do 😞 *She waited for him to reply, but he didn't* Y/N💞: Jungkook. What is it? He chose to ignore her yet again. It went on for a couple of days,  until a point where she could no longer take it. *TaeTae* Y/N💞: Where is Jungkook? Tae: Um,  in our room Y/N💞: Thanks Tae Tae: 👍

Rage searing through her,  she marched to Jungkook's room and banged on the door with her fist. The door opened and Y/N pushed her way in,  closing the door behind them.

'What the hell is wrong with you?!' she asked,  giving him a murderous glare.

'What?' he asked,  not looking at her.

'You know what,  Jungkook'

'Why do you care?'

'Jeon Jungkook. I'm warning you. You better tell me what's wrong or this will be our last conversation.'

Jungkook peeked a glance at her,  and immediately felt guilty. Her eyes brimming with tears and yet she was shaking with anger.

'OK. It's a simple question.' Jungkook said.

'What is?'

'What's going on with you and Tae?'

'Excuse me?'

Y/N gave him a look of disbelief.

'What we're you both doing that night?'

'Watching Friends. You saw'

'Right.' Jungkook scoffed.

'Look here,  Jungkook. Tae's one of my closest friends. I love him. I do. But it's not that kind of a love.' Y/N said,  her voice shaking. 'I can't believe this is why you wouldn't talk to me!'

Jungkook looked away. He didn't know how to even begin to explain how he felt.

'Why does it bother you? So what if I liked Tae?' Y/N said.

Jungkook remained silent.

'Don't you dare ignore me!' She was almost yelling.

'Fine!' Jungkook said,  holding his hands up in defeat. 'Look. I was jealous, OK?  I came down to see him cuddling with you and -'

'We weren't cuddling'

'Almost cuddling though'

'Nope'

'Do you wanna hear this or not?'

'Go on'

'I wondered why him and not me. OK?  I just can't - you and Tae. I can't.'

He shook his head.

'You have no clue what you mean to me!  Tae is my brother. If at all anything like that comes up,  it would kill me!'

Y/N stood still not knowing what to say. It was all coming out too fast.

'Tae and I are NOT together. I told you he's special to me, but not in a romantic way, OK?'

Jungkook nodded.

'Kookie' she touched his hand slowly.

'Y/N you mean something to me' Jungkook said slowly. 'I can't explain it. It's not like how I feel about Apu. It's, uh-'

Jungkook struggled with his words.

'I feel the same way about you dumbass' Y/N said shaking her head.

'What?' Jungkook gave her a wide eyed look. 'You do?'

'I do'

He looked at her with a trace of a smile, and said 'I'm sorry'

'Whatever' Y/N said shrugging.

'Are we good?'

'Depends on how you plan to make it up to me'

'Don't play hard to get,  Y/N' Jungkook said with a grin. 'You want me so bad'

'The nerve. Really. You're unbelievable.'

'Oh it's me now?'

'Oh God. You suck Jungkook'

'You are worse'

'You're -'

Jungkook pressed his lips to hers in a soft kiss. He pulled back to make sure it was OK,  and seeing the smile on her face,  he leaned in for a deeper one.

Y/N threw her arms her arms around his neck,  standing on her toes to reach him. She pulled back to breath and said 'You're not that bad'

'Your aren't either'

Tae: Seriously Kook, you drama queen. After applying the final touches of makeup,  Y/N gave Apu a thumbs up.

'All set!  You look great' she said.

'Thank you,  Y/N!' Apu said with a smile. 'How did the boys do?'

'They did great, I have the video,  don't worry ' Y/N said ' So,  I'll go find them before you go up'

With a quick hug,  Y/N stepped out to find her friends. She looked up to meet those same eyes that were following her around the entire day.

Feeling uncomfortable,  she looked around for the boys.

Y/N💞: Guys,  where are you? Rapmon😎: Just outside the auditorium. What's up? Y/N💞: I need help. NOW. JK: What the hell happened Y/N💞: This guy,  he's been following me around all day and now he's actually way too close JK : WTF,  where are you? Y/N💞: Near backstage Tae: We are on our way. Stay cool. Jin: Just stay with Apu Y/N💞: She's on stage right now😢

*Apu's team came in view right after a quick announcment. The creepy guy winked at Y/N as she shot him a sideways glance. He's been following her from when she came into the party. She had dusted it off as just a feeling - it was a huge celebration. But now it was clear. He was a stalker.

Jimin: I will stay and bring Apu,  you guys get Y/N Y/N💞: He's coming closer guys JK: Start walking Y/N Y/N💞: OK, I see Tae and Yoongi now,  btw JK: Good, I'm behind you

The guy began moving towards Y/N as she started walking away. Just as the he tried to grab her hand,  another hand crept around her shoulder,  pulling her close. Jungkook's face held a serious expression as he held Y/N tightly,  and Tae and the boys joined,  blocking the guy.

'What about them?'

'They'll deal with him,  don't worry' said Jungkook as he led her away.

They decided to leave right after Apu's performance. Jungkook remained silent,  but refused to leave Y/N's side after that.

Once seated in the car,  Y/N looked over a Jungkook who sat at the front with Tae driving them home. Apu held Y/N's hand, as she looked out the window.

JK : You OK? Y/N💞: I'm just fine,  a little shook,  but that's all JK : Just stay close next time. I can't begin to explain how much it scared me Y/N💞: 😢 JK : I'm glad you are ok, Y/N. Y/N💞: Thanks for being there Kookie

Y/N saw a small smile spread on his face, and she felt relieved. She sighed and looked up,  only to meet Tae's eyes in the mirror. He gave a reassuring smile. She returned it,  and glanced back at Jungkook.

Jungkook got off his bed immediately and walked straight to Y/N's room. Apu let him in and he wrapped his arms around Y/N who sat on her bed, tears running down her face.

'Stop it,  Y/N.' he said,  soothingly as she cried softly,  her face pressed against his neck. Tae walked in next,  followed by the rest of the boys.

'Y/N, nothing happened. We're a family now. And it's what a family does. We look after each other.' Namjoon said stroking her hair,  and put an arm around a teary eyed Apu.

Jimin stood still trying his best not to spill any tears and failing miserably.

'Come on,  pretty face' he said sitting near her. 'My girls don't look good crying'

He took Apu's hand in his.

'Why are you crying JimJam?' Y/N asked, slowly turning around to face Jimin.

'I'm not crying' he said indignantly.

'Actually you are' Apu said.

'Um, no'

'Yes you are, Jiminie pabo' Tae said with a grin.

Y/N smiled,  resting back into Jungkook's warm embrace. She felt him rest his chin on top of her head.

'I can't believe this' Jimin said 'I feel so attacked right now'

'But at least Y/N smiled' said Hoseok.

Yoongi and Jin laughed, sitting on the carpeted floor of Y/N and Apu's room.

'Let's all just sit here tonight, play some game maybe' Hoseok said.

'Monopoly!' Apu said running to get the game.

Y/N look up at Jungkook who  gave her little squeeze before they climbed down to the floor to join the others.

Within a month of moving in, Y/N and Apu were best friends with the boys. They were stiff at first,  but the boys turned out to be as adjusting and caring as they could be.

Y/N and Jin were on breakfast duty that morning. It was a Saturday and most of them were sleeping late.

Y/N handled the pancakes as Jin made some eggs and coffee.

'We are running out of groceries' Jin informed grabbing the last of the eggs from the fridge.

'We'll go shopping' Y/N said with a nod as the others slowly appeared around the table.
