Jungkook closed his eyes tight,  exhaling loudly. He heard her yelling again.

'APU!!'

He ran his hand through his jacket one last time before stepping out of his room. He saw Apu rush past him down the stairs, hands full of snacks.

'Do you or do you not hear that? ' Jungkook asked pointing at towards her room.

'I do,  but I'm kinda busy' Apu said,  showing him her hands full of party supplies. 'Can you please check what she wants?  I'll be back in a minute'

'OK' Jungkook said with a nod. He walked to Y/N's room and knocked.

'Come in!' Y/N called out.

He opened the door slowly and stepped in,  only to freeze in his spot. Y/N stood in front of her dresser, bent over looking into a box. The zip of her black dress was open and the light in the room made her skin glisten.

'I called you like fifty times, Apu! Please zip me up!' said Y/N still not looking up.

Jungkook closed the door behind him softly and moved towards her.

'Apu!  Hurry up! Why-'

She straightened and her eyes met Jungkook's in the mirror.

She gasped and turned around in an attempt to cover her back.

'Kookie?' she whispered.

This made Jungkook smile.

'I can still see through the mirror you know ' he said with a wink.

He folded his arms and looked at her teasingly.

'Turn around,  I'll zip you up ' he said moving forward.

Y/N blushed and felt too embarrassed to look at him.

'It's alright,  I won't look' Jungkook said gently.

Y/N turned around silently, looking at him through the mirror. He held her gaze as he slowly pulled the zip up,  his fingers grazing her skin gently.

Once done, Jungkook turned her around to face him.

'You look so beautiful today,  Y/N' Jungkook said with a smile.

'Kookie, I-'

It was the first time Jungkook saw Y/N so flustered and out of words, and to be honest he liked it.

'You can't tell anyone!' Y/N said shaking her head. 'Kookie, you have to promise!'

'I promise' Jungkook said taking her hand in his with a smile and raising it slowly to his lips.

The moment his lips touched her skin,  the door flew open noisily and Apu stepped in with Jimin tagging along.

'Seriously Jim,  you had ONE job-'

Jungkook let go of Y/N's hand and quickly grabbed the first thing his fingers came in contact with from the dresser.

Apu and Jimin stopped by the door and looked at the couple by the dresser. Silence took over the room for a second before Apu said ' What's going on? '

Jimin smirked at Jungkook,  who turned to Y/N, and pushed the earrings he had managed to grab into her hands.

'Don't expect me to come and find your stuff for you next time,  Y/N' he said,  shaking his head 'Seriously what the hell-'

He walked off,  grabbing Jimin by his arm and dragging him out on his way.

Y/N gave Apu an embarrassed smile.

'If either of you think I'm buying any of that bullshit you just sold,  well,  you're wrong' Apu said with a smirk.

'Apu I couldn't find these-'

'You're already wearing earrings darling, by the way' Apu said, taking her hand and leading her out of the room. 'We have a party to host and you have a lot of explaining to do later on'

*Y/N put her phone down and took a deep breath. It was nothing,  but it still felt like a lot. Her skin tinkled at the thought of his touch. She closed her eyes tight and tried to relax. Her phone vibrated,  snapping her back to reality.*

After applying the final touches of makeup,  Y/N gave Apu a thumbs up.

'All set!  You look great' she said.

'Thank you,  Y/N!' Apu said with a smile. 'How did the boys do?'

'They did great, I have the video,  don't worry ' Y/N said ' So,  I'll go find them before you go up'

With a quick hug,  Y/N stepped out to find her friends. She looked up to meet those same eyes that were following her around the entire day.

Feeling uncomfortable,  she looked around for the boys.

Y/N💞: Guys,  where are you? Rapmon😎: Just outside the auditorium. What's up? Y/N💞: I need help. NOW. JK: What the hell happened Y/N💞: This guy,  he's been following me around all day and now he's actually way too close JK : WTF,  where are you? Y/N💞: Near backstage Tae: We are on our way. Stay cool. Jin: Just stay with Apu Y/N💞: She's on stage right now😢

*Apu's team came in view right after a quick announcment. The creepy guy winked at Y/N as she shot him a sideways glance. He's been following her from when she came into the party. She had dusted it off as just a feeling - it was a huge celebration. But now it was clear. He was a stalker.

Jimin: I will stay and bring Apu,  you guys get Y/N Y/N💞: He's coming closer guys JK: Start walking Y/N Y/N💞: OK, I see Tae and Yoongi now,  btw JK: Good, I'm behind you

The guy began moving towards Y/N as she started walking away. Just as the he tried to grab her hand,  another hand crept around her shoulder,  pulling her close. Jungkook's face held a serious expression as he held Y/N tightly,  and Tae and the boys joined,  blocking the guy.

'What about them?'

'They'll deal with him,  don't worry' said Jungkook as he led her away.

                               * * *

They decided to leave right after Apu's performance. Jungkook remained silent,  but refused to leave Y/N's side after that.

Once seated in the car,  Y/N looked over a Jungkook who sat at the front with Tae driving them home. Apu held Y/N's hand, as she looked out the window.

JK : You OK? Y/N💞: I'm just fine,  a little shook,  but that's all JK : Just stay close next time. I can't begin to explain how much it scared me Y/N💞: 😢 JK : I'm glad you are ok, Y/N. Y/N💞: Thanks for being there Kookie

Y/N saw a small smile spread on his face, and she felt relieved. She sighed and looked up,  only to meet Tae's eyes in the mirror. He gave a reassuring smile. She returned it,  and glanced back at Jungkook.

Jungkook got off his bed immediately and walked straight to Y/N's room. Apu let him in and he wrapped his arms around Y/N who sat on her bed, tears running down her face.

'Stop it,  Y/N.' he said,  soothingly as she cried softly,  her face pressed against his neck. Tae walked in next,  followed by the rest of the boys.

'Y/N, nothing happened. We're a family now. And it's what a family does. We look after each other.' Namjoon said stroking her hair,  and put an arm around a teary eyed Apu.

Jimin stood still trying his best not to spill any tears and failing miserably.

'Come on,  pretty face' he said sitting near her. 'My girls don't look good crying'

He took Apu's hand in his.

'Why are you crying JimJam?' Y/N asked, slowly turning around to face Jimin.

'I'm not crying' he said indignantly.

'Actually you are' Apu said.

'Um, no'

'Yes you are, Jiminie pabo' Tae said with a grin.

Y/N smiled,  resting back into Jungkook's warm embrace. She felt him rest his chin on top of her head.

'I can't believe this' Jimin said 'I feel so attacked right now'

'But at least Y/N smiled' said Hoseok.

Yoongi and Jin laughed, sitting on the carpeted floor of Y/N and Apu's room.

'Let's all just sit here tonight, play some game maybe' Hoseok said.

'Monopoly!' Apu said running to get the game.

Y/N look up at Jungkook who  gave her little squeeze before they climbed down to the floor to join the others.

Jungkook x Reader (Confession Time!!)

After hours of tossing and turning,  Y/N decided she just can't sleep. Feeling grumpy and totally worn out,  she left her room with her blanket draped over her shoulders. She went down the stairs and stood at the landing not knowing what to do.

After a bit of thought she decided to watch some TV. Y/N lay on the couch stretching her legs out before flipping through the channels. Settling for a re-run of the Friends,  she took out cell phone. She had an urge to text Jungkook,  but knowing him,  she let go of the idea.Half an hour into the show,  Y/N heard footsteps and turned to find Tae coming down the stairs rubbing his eyes.

'Y/N?'

'Mmm?' she hummed looking at him with sleep deprived eyes.

'What are you doing here?'

'Can't sleep. You?'

'Same'

He came over and looked at her to give him some place to sit.

'No.' she said shaking her head. 'Go get your own couch'

'But I wanna sit here'

'TaeTae!!!' Y/N said exhaling loudly.

She pulled back her legs to make space for Tae before placing them on his lap after he sat.They watched the show in silence except for occasional giggles. In the middle of a fit of laughter they heard another set of footsteps.Y/N and Tae found Jungkook making his way towards them,  a frown on his face.

'What's going on?' he asked,  his voice clearly showing signs of irritation.

'Couldn't sleep so-' said Y/N with a shrug.

Jungkook felt his insides burn at the sight of them. Tae's eyes traveled between Y/N and Jungkook,  sensing the tension brewing.

'Alright,  goodnight then' Jungkook said firmly,  walking off without waiting for any reply.

                                  ***

Y/N struggled to keep her eyes open all day. She had a hard day at college,  trying not to fall asleep in class. Jungkook acted weird at lunch and refused to acknowledge her all day.

*Kookie💖*

Y/N💞: You're avoiding me. Y/N💞: What did I do 😞 *She waited for him to reply, but he didn't* Y/N💞: Jungkook. What is it? He chose to ignore her yet again. It went on for a couple of days,  until a point where she could no longer take it. *TaeTae* Y/N💞: Where is Jungkook? Tae: Um,  in our room Y/N💞: Thanks Tae Tae: 👍

Rage searing through her,  she marched to Jungkook's room and banged on the door with her fist. The door opened and Y/N pushed her way in,  closing the door behind them.

'What the hell is wrong with you?!' she asked,  giving him a murderous glare.

'What?' he asked,  not looking at her.

'You know what,  Jungkook'

'Why do you care?'

'Jeon Jungkook. I'm warning you. You better tell me what's wrong or this will be our last conversation.'

Jungkook peeked a glance at her,  and immediately felt guilty. Her eyes brimming with tears and yet she was shaking with anger.

'OK. It's a simple question.' Jungkook said.

'What is?'

'What's going on with you and Tae?'

'Excuse me?'

Y/N gave him a look of disbelief.

'What we're you both doing that night?'

'Watching Friends. You saw'

'Right.' Jungkook scoffed.

'Look here,  Jungkook. Tae's one of my closest friends. I love him. I do. But it's not that kind of a love.' Y/N said,  her voice shaking. 'I can't believe this is why you wouldn't talk to me!'

Jungkook looked away. He didn't know how to even begin to explain how he felt.

'Why does it bother you? So what if I liked Tae?' Y/N said.

Jungkook remained silent.

'Don't you dare ignore me!' She was almost yelling.

'Fine!' Jungkook said,  holding his hands up in defeat. 'Look. I was jealous, OK?  I came down to see him cuddling with you and -'

'We weren't cuddling'

'Almost cuddling though'

'Nope'

'Do you wanna hear this or not?'

'Go on'

'I wondered why him and not me. OK?  I just can't - you and Tae. I can't.'

He shook his head.

'You have no clue what you mean to me!  Tae is my brother. If at all anything like that comes up,  it would kill me!'

Y/N stood still not knowing what to say. It was all coming out too fast.

'Tae and I are NOT together. I told you he's special to me, but not in a romantic way, OK?'

Jungkook nodded.

'Kookie' she touched his hand slowly.

'Y/N you mean something to me' Jungkook said slowly. 'I can't explain it. It's not like how I feel about Apu. It's, uh-'

Jungkook struggled with his words.

'I feel the same way about you dumbass' Y/N said shaking her head.

'What?' Jungkook gave her a wide eyed look. 'You do?'

'I do'

He looked at her with a trace of a smile, and said 'I'm sorry'

'Whatever' Y/N said shrugging.

'Are we good?'

'Depends on how you plan to make it up to me'

'Don't play hard to get,  Y/N' Jungkook said with a grin. 'You want me so bad'

'The nerve. Really. You're unbelievable.'

'Oh it's me now?'

'Oh God. You suck Jungkook'

'You are worse'

'You're -'

Jungkook pressed his lips to hers in a soft kiss. He pulled back to make sure it was OK,  and seeing the smile on her face,  he leaned in for a deeper one.

Y/N threw her arms her arms around his neck,  standing on her toes to reach him. She pulled back to breath and said 'You're not that bad'

'Your aren't either'

Tae: Seriously Kook, you drama queen. Y/N💞: Guys!  I need help! Jimin: There's a group to plan Jungkook's birthday. Wow. Tae: Whatever you need,  Y/N. This is going to be great! Y/N💞: I wanna do something special for him,  but Im just so nervous!! Apu👑: Don't worry,  it'll be just fine Y/N💞: I want to bake him a cake first and then Apu and I thought of some things Rapmon😎: What should we do? Jin: I'll help you bake the cake,  please!!! Y/N💞: You got it Jin! Jin: Awesome!!

Y/N breathed a sigh of relief as everyone were given work to do and things were looking good. Jungkook was sprawled across the couch,  eyes on his cellphone. They couldn't get on with the plan when he was at home,  so Tae and Jimin were in charge of keeping him out till midnight.

Once they had dragged him out,  Jin and Namjoon helped Y/N with the cake. Hobi and Yoongi helped Apu with the decorations.

It was well into the night when Y/N was finally done with the rest of his surprise. Y/N quickly got showered and dressed before getting on with the final touches.

Yoongi and Hobi had gone way ahead with the decorations in the living room in Apu's absence.

'You guys!  He's not turning 5!' Namjoon said shaking with laughter as they walked into a sea of balloons in the living room.

'He'll always be our baby' Yoongi said dramatically. 'Even if he has a girlfriend'

'I was away for 5 minutes,  guy' Apu said,  rolling her eyes.

Tae: We're almost there Y/N: OK 😨

'Guys they're almost here!' Y/N squealed running into the kitchen. Jin handed her the cake and made her way to Jungkook's room. Closing the door behind her,  she set the cake on his bedside table.

Tae: We are home! Y/N💞: I'm scared!  I think I overdid it! Jin: You didn't!  It's perfect! Apu👑: Oh God,  he's asking for you 😍😂 Jimin: He knows you're upto something 😂😂 Y/N💞: Shitshitshit Tae: Get ready,  he's coming 😉

Y/N set her cellphone down and took the little chocolate cake in hand,  waiting for him. She was almost terrified at the thought of him coming in,  and shivered slight as she heard him outside the door.

'Y/N?' he said in a sing song voice,  opening the door slowly. And he stood still,  eyes wide in surprise.

He stepped in and closed the door behind him, the shock melting into a smile.

'Happy Birthday,  Kookie' Y/N said smiling.

'Y/N' his voice was soft and she could swear his eyes were moist. He took the cake from her hands,  setting it on the table,  before pulling her into a tight hug. 'This is beautiful'

Jungkook cupped his hands on her cheeks as he kissed her. Y/N giggled as he pressed small warm kisses on her lips.

He pulled back,  a hand around her shoulder and eyes scanning his room.

The dark room was lit only some pretty fairy lights and some heart balloons hovered over his bed,  with pictures of the couple hanging at the end of the long strings. He moved towards his bed,  to get a proper look at them before turning back to Y/N and holding his hand out to her.

'This is the best birthday ever!' he said,  giving her his best toothy smile.

Y/N kissed his cheek feeling more happier than she could have thought.

He kissed her again,  smiling against her lips each time he thought how lucky he felt.

'I love you so much' he murmured, pulling her against his chest.

'I love you too,  Kookie' she whispered.

Once they were both feeling normal again,  Y/N asked 'So gonna cut the cake or what? I made it'

'Of course' he said.

Jungkook kissed Y/N one last time before making their way down to join the rest of the team. It's safe to say Jungkook had the best time ever.

Taehyung x reader

Author's POV :

The first time Bambi came over to stay at Y/N and Jungkook's new apartment, Jungkook was beyond excited. He had a play pen ready with all kinds of toys ready for her. He had also found this pet park where he had planned to take her.

'OK, Mommy, we're going out for a walk' He called out to Y/N as he and Bambi made their way out.

'I need you both home for lunch!' Y/N said smiling at the two.

Jungkook and Bambi made this their regular thing - a walk in their favorite pet park. On one such day, they were on their usual walk when Bambi stopped all of a sudden.

'What's it Bambi?' Jungkook asked, crouching down to her level and scratching behind her ears.

Bambi began walking, pulling at her leash. She led Jungkook to one of the benches, where a man sat, singing. He had a little black and tan Pomeranian in his lap, watching him as he sang.

Bambi settled down in front to the bench, gazing at the man who sang with his eyes closed. Jungkook smiled in fascination as he watched the two dogs enjoy the music.

'How's that Tannie??'

The little dog yapped at the man, making him laugh. And then his eyes fell on Jungkook and Bambi.

'Oh, hi' he said, standing up.

'That was pretty awesome' Jungkook said. 'I didn't know dogs were into music'

The man laughed.

'Oh they are' he said. 'You just need to know what kind'

'I'm Jungkook and this is Bambi'

'We're Taehyung and Yeontan'

Jungkook wasn't the first person Taehyung befriended in the big city. But he was definitely one who left a mark in him.

Taehyung admired the way he loved his life. Nothing was an obstacle for Jungkook. Nothing could literally stop him for doing what he wanted.

They rarely discussed about personal life, but when they did, Taehyung couldn't help but feel warm about the way Jungkook spoke about his Y/N. They were perfect for each other. Exactly opposite, but just right.

Taehyung remembered the last time met Jungkook vividly. He knew something was wrong when he met him after months. He looked pale and the shine in his eyes were nearly non-existant.

'Jungkook, it's been a long time' he said, shaking hands with him.

Jungkook smiled and said 'Yeah, things have been a bit crazy'

Taehyung was heartbroken to learn of Jungkook's diagnosis. He knew he had just proposed to Y/N. This was all so wrong.

'There are so many good hospitals offering treatments for this, Jungkook' Taehyung said, shaking his head. 'It's nothing really'

'Yeah, I suppose' Jungkook said with a shrug.

He sighed before turning to face Taehyung.

'I'm not afraid.' he said. 'For myself. But Y/N-'

He fell silent for a while.

'She is this pampered baby' he said laughing fondly at her thought. 'She is already falling apart'

He look in a labored breath.

'It'll all be fine' Taehyung said, patting Jungkook on his shoulder. 'You're gonna be fine'

Jungkook nodded.

Taehyung would never forget that look in his eyes when Jungkook hugged him and walked away. It was the last time he saw Jungkook's smiling face.
