After escaping Gaza following the destruction of their home, Majed and his family of five are struggling to establish and secure a new life in Egypt.

Currently they are unable to secure safe and stable housing, leaving them unable to sustain other basic needs like food and access to water.

What is making this even more difficult is that rent prices keep increasing fivefold in Egypt. Furthermore, as a result of the war, Majed’s eldest son has lost his job and his other two children have been unable to complete their educations, making it even harder for the family to achieve a livable income.

As stated on his GoFundMe, Majed hopes to support his children in furthering their education and help his family secure a new home, but is unable to do so his own due to the state of Egypt’s economy: “We are asking for your support to help my children return to their studies here in Egypt. The cost of education is extremely high, and I am unable to cover it on my own. With your generosity, I will be able to stand on my feet again and provide for my family's material and emotional needs.”

As a result of an attack on their neighborhood, Muhammad and his family’s home is barely habitable. They are now struggling to survive, unable to secure their basic needs of life: water, food, safety and security.

Him and his wife have three very young children (6, 3, and 1 year old) and not only are they suffering physically from this, but also emotionally and mentally from having to grow up in the war zone they are currently trapped in. As stated on Muhammad’s GoFundMe: “There is no education, no healthcare, no electricity, and most devastatingly, no hope for the future if we remain here.”

The lamb's right side is heavily shadowed in comparison to their left. They hold a neutral-like expression with no visible mouth (except for a misplaced line that could be interpreted as a frown).
