Oikawa can’t help but smile as he pulls up yns house. Its one of his favorite places to drive to. Not because of the neat flower boxes under the windows, or the perfectly mowed lawn. It’s the look of joy on yns face as she leaves the house and spots him parked there waiting for her. Although it makes him grin,it also makes his skin heat up and his neck start to sweat. She always nags him about his AC being cranked up all the way, and he always plays it off by saying he ‘runs hot’.

Today is different though. Oikawa sits in the drive away, pulling out his phone to send a quick ‘here’ and ‘the bus is leaving in 1 minute’ text before looking back up to yn opening the front door. She spots him and smiles for a brief moment before 2 figures appear in the doorway behind her. She turns around and the smile disappears, just like that. Oikawa scrunches his brows and rolls down his window ever so slightly, to eavesdrop of course. The 2 figures, her parents, have stern looks on their faces as they berate her about something he can’t make out. All he can hear is the words “workouts”, “diet”, “practice”.

He can piece together pretty quickly what the conversation was about. Volleyball. He knows yns parents both played in high school, and that they were good. Really good. Her father went pro right out of high school. He remembers yn mentioning how it’s their dream she wins nationals. She made it sound more like a demand though.

Yn turns away from her parents and rushes to the car. Her smile is different now, forced and filled with fallacy. Her parents demeanor completly changes when they see oikawa in the car, they give him a polite wave along with a smile and head back inside. Yns demeanor changed too, she is now buckling herself in the passenger seat and talking about how excited she is for onigiri.

‘-they have this salmon lemon filling, IT’S SO GOOD OIKAWA, you have to try it.’ , she explains while connecting to the aux in his car. It was an unspoken rule that if yn was in his car, she always got aux.

‘damn what happened to ‘hey how are you?’, ‘thanks so much for driving me oikawa!!’’ he mocks her voice as he puts a hand on the back of her seat, looking behind him to reverse out of her driveway.

‘my bad, thank you so much for diving me shittykawa!!!’ she retorted in a sarcastic tone.

‘bitch’ he mutters, laughing.

‘somebody needs to humble you brother’ she sighs as she clicks shuffle on the playlist.

Soft music plays as they drive in comfortable silence. They both slightly nod to the beat and mouth the words. Oikawa chooses to fill the silence.

‘so, what did your parents want?’ He only has time to glance for a second, but her eyes go sort of dead as she thinks about her answer. She’s staring out of the window, with her eyebrows furrowed.

‘nothing really, it’s just volleyball stuff’ she shrugs, her head still moving along with the song.

He’s dissapointed in the answer, but he doesn’t want to pry again and make her upset. It’s 3 strikes and your out with yn. Although he’s on strike 189 at this point, he keeps his mouth shut.

‘wanna practice before school tomorrow?’ he tries to change the conversation, even though it’s still about volleyball.

she sighs, ‘sure, my serve receives have gotten sloppy.’

‘I thought they’ve been looking good?’ he turns his head to her, eyes till on the road, as he questions his own opinion.

‘but they aren’t to me, of course you would think they’re good on the outside looking in’ she explains as she skips through the songs, trying to find the right melody for the moment.

‘oh, I get it, it’s like how I think my serves are bad sometimes but nobody else really sees what i mean’

‘mmm no, I always see what you mean’ she giggles.

‘oh so my serves suck huh? what if my driving sucks too?’ he eggs on as he stops aggressively at a red light, making her fly forward in her seatbelt.

‘Ow, you are not funny oikawa’ she grimaces in a lighthearted way.

They both continue to make eachother laugh and play fight as they get dinner. It’s one of those nights oikawa will look back on the day after and smile. It feels good.

“okay atsumu, next up from our fan talents is mia, she will be doing a peter griffin impression!!!” you say, laughing slightly into the mic. ”what? does that even count as a talent?” you hears atsumus concerned voice on the other end of the call.

“i guess we’ll be the judges of that!” you switch the viewer into the voice call.

“hi mia! we are so ready to hear your peter griffin impression.” as you speak, you adjusts the clip-on tie on her shirt. the outfit you picked out for this stream is a tuxedo t-shirt, paired with the aforementioned clip on tie, along with a top hat. you’ve been calling it business casual.

“oh my god this is so crazy, hi! such a big fan.” the new fan in the call speaks. you’ve heard this speech plenty of times now, being an hour into the stream. atsumu and you thought it would be funny to have fans show off their talents, but you didn’t really think hard enough about the whole fan part.

“so nice to meet you mia! alright, lets hear your talent.” you say.

the girl goes into an atrocious peter griffin impression, and as it continues for a moment to long, atsumu quickly cuts her off.

“that was amazing! thanks!” he quickly removes her from the call, bursting out laughing. ”that was top ten for sure, for sure!” you laughs, slight tears forming in your eyes.

as you laughs, you take a quick glance at your phone sitting by her mouse.

the screen lights up, a message from kuroo.

”alright, next talent is singing from K?” you say, laughing slightly, adding kuroo into the call.

“hi!!!!!” he says with a high pitched shaky voice.

“holy shit.” atsumu says, giggling a bit.

“why are you laughing???” kuroo asks, genuine concern in his voice. this gets you, and soon you are laughing too.

“w-what is your talent, um, k?” you choke out between giggles.

“singing!” his high pitched voice is full of joy, and you glance at the chat.

kuroo quickly goes into his song, horribly out of tune and pitchy. you and atsumu lose it completely, and you can hear kuroos voice cracking as he tries to hold himself together.

“the end!” he says, finally finished.

“oh wow. with a voice like that i’m sure you have a beautiful face to match it! can you turn on face cam??” you ask, leaning into the webcam closer.

kuroo quickly switches the web cam on, revealing his face smiling at the camera.

“bro what the hell?” atsumu says, surprised by the reveal. this makes kuroo laugh harder.

“surprisingly. i’m thinking i might get one of my own. i’m considering pursuing a career in dress to impress.” he jokes.

“wait whats your ranking?” you ask.

“i’m only a rising star but i have like 150 stars.” he says.

“you are such a flop oh my god, lets play right now, i’ll cook you.”

“big talk for someone wearing a tuxedo t-shirt.”

“it’s business casual, big guy. you just don’t get fashion like i do.”

“uh huh. i’ll smoke you lets go.” he taunts.

you quickly log onto roblox, joining the game.

after an hour and a half, you’ve beat kuroo 97% of the time.

“jeez, its already 9:30.” he says from his position on the podium (3rd place).

“past your bedtime?” you joke.

“nah, past the time i should’ve probably left kenmas room though. i’m gonna log off.”

“alright.” you say.

“i’ll text you though.” he smiles at the webcam.

"sounds good. night kuroo.” you smile back.

It was graduation day, and “finally” was all that was running through Iwazumi’s mind. he couldn’t wait to get started with his life and what he wanted to do. he got into the college he had been dreaming about since he was a kid, Oikawa is… well we don't know what Oikawa is doing but he “Iwa-chan, I'm fine I have a plan trust”. of course, there was still you. he’s liked you since elementary school, while he didn't know this, so did you. This whole thing had been driving Oikawa up the wall since elementary school, the pining is “soooooooo annoying you don't understand like just bone it out right now” is what Oikawa would tell anyone who would listen. Plus it wasn't like he was outing you guys for liking each other, the whole school thought that you guys where dating until told otherwise. 

You, Iwa, and Oikawa were all sitting in that order waiting for your names to be called to go up and get your diplomas, and when you got called up, Iwazumi’s eyes followed your form, just as they always did. One by one everyone is called up, but as you were walking back to your seat, diploma in hand, you followed Iwazumi’s form just as he did you. After everyone was given their diplomas and the ceremony was over, everyone was out on the field, taking pictures with family, friends, underclassmen, and teachers. At some point, the yearbook class had given out the yearbook they worked on all year. 

You had been standing with Iwa when they gave you your yearbook and handed him his, with a warm smile for both of you. “I wonder who got best couple haji” you say when you flip to the page with all of the titles he is standing next to you and sort of behind you. Iwazumi’s eyes land on it before your do as you where looking at all the other titles before that one, he doesn't say anything. “Oh look tooru got best smile” you say with a amused snort. Iwazumi laughs, he loved your laugh. Your eyes landed on best couple and you froze. You say not only your name and Iwazumis, but a picture of you guys just laughing walking together, you felt your heart swell. Along with Iwazumi, you turned to him and both of your eyes where wide. 

“y/n, i-” he was then cut off by tooru running and jumping onto him, you where whisked away by someone your parents wanted you to meet, and you lost hajime in the crowd. 

“I love you” he had said defeated, to himself in the crowd. At least he thought he said it to himself, because your best friend (aside from him and Tooru) had heard.

toxic baby daddy jj absolutely loses his shit when rumors about reader and john b start spreading on the island. he’s out and about one day when he hears, “is that maybank?” “yeah, did you hear his girl and john b finally got together?” and it really fucks jj up, he doesn’t believe reader and jb when they explain they were just going school shopping together for babygirl and jb offered to split the cost with her. it takes him a while to get over it and understand that jb is going to big part of babygirl’s life no matter how much jj denies her. well, that’s until john b goes as her date to her first daddy daughter dance

it tears jj up inside because he's spent the past like 5 years denying her and he only ever wants to make a fuss when you move on!! he's only ever tryna claim her when someone else (notably john b) is in the picture its a weird pride thing.

so when he thinks you and jb are together he finally shows up to the playdate hes been promising for weeks and she's so happy to see him but while she's running around to get ready he notices jb is the one getting her all packed up and ready to go so now jjs grilling you on the whole situation. and you're not with john b, but he stepped up when jj wouldnt.

and when she asks john b to take her to the dance instead of him because lets face it she doesnt really know jj it makes him wanna throw up.
