Combination of Deredere, Yandere, and Megadere

Similar to a Yandere and a Megadere, Yerederes are obsessed with their love interest. They do not kill, but they do exaggerated things to show their affections, such as praying to them, cooking for them every day, giving lots of gifts and love letters songs/ poems, stalking, stealing their items, between others. While Yerederes can have multiple friends, they direct most if not all of their kindness, affection, and love towards only a single person/ their beloved.

Meaning

The word is a compound of Deredere (デレデレ) which is roughly translated to 'lovey dovey' and Yandere (病んでレ).

Personality

While Derederes are always cheerful, Yerederes are always concerned about their love interest, whether they are feeling well or not. Yerederes are almost always happy, but express it less than Derederes. They are obsessive, but not the "dark" kind of obsessive like a Yandere have. They aren't violent toward people that get close to their love interest, and some Yeredere may respect their love interest's freedom to interact with friends and people close to them.

Another possible term for Yeredere is "Megadere" which are basically fangirls and possible stalkers. The term comes from the word "mega" which means very large or huge and "deredere" which means lovey-dovey. So, like the name suggests, they're basically deredere but on a whole new level. However, the term Megadere is rarely used.

Not to be confused with Dorodere, who do the messed up things in their head and don't act on them in real life.

A Dorodere, sometimes spelled Doredere, refers to a character who acts cute and sweet on the outside, but is deeply disturbed on the inside. Despite everything, they will never really do the dark things they say and think.

Meaning of the Name

The word is derived from the terms "dorodoro" (ドロドロ), meaning muddled or confused, and "deredere" (デレデレ), meaning "lovey dovey".

Personality

Dorodere characters have Sadodere, Yangire or Yandere  thoughts, but usually don't act on them. They appear sweet and lovable on the outside, but are twisted or disturbed on the inside for different reasons. Doroderes could also have mental problems, illnesses and disorders. Basically, they'll say and sometimes do things that will make other characters distrust them and make them look insane, but they would never want to hurt anyone.

Dorodere characters will slowly or unexpectedly show their violent side to their loved ones and people. Doroderes are very unpredictable and can strike at any moment. Once they show this way of thinking, the people around them will start to doubt them and possibly even fear them. But despite everything, they would never harm others. There are times where the doroderes are even shown as the possible antagonists until the opposite is revealed later on.

Doroderes can be a normal person at one point, and then form into a dorodere. Ex: Abused since childhood or traumatic event(s) in their lives, raised around people with extremely violent tendencies, commits a violent act finding pleasure in it, ect. As some have mental illnesses, many will start to act this way for this same reason, as it will be difficult for them to control it or realize what they are saying until they are able to calm down and think clearly again.

The difference between Dorodere and Yandere is that doroderes would never harm anyone or act in the disturbed thoughts they have. They will not try to get rid of others who approach their love interest because of jealousy, but might try to scare them in other ways if someone did hurt them in any way.
