Were Hermione and Ron, in your series shagging in Australia or do you think they were too busy? I can't tell if in my headcannon they had sex before Harry and Ginny did.

Oh, they were definitely having sex in Australia. They weren't subtle about it at all either. RIP, Harry.

Just rereading ur work and tearing up once again how painful it was for Ginny to read Smita’s letter of goodbye and be safe before Ginny had to go back to Hogwarts. Like their friendship is so beautiful and it pained me to see how their lives were already splitting off from one another before the summer of the wedding, yet they still managed to keep in touch and not lose each other (that was until the war). It’s more heartbreaking to know how much Ginny needed Smita during the year snape took over but of course she was relieved that Smita never went through the cruelties that she had to endure. UGH EMOTIONS thank you for writing them

I'm so glad you enjoy them! I think we often only get one kind of friendship in our fiction--the ride or die, walk to the ends of the earth kind of friendship we get with the golden trio. Which is so lovely. But there are many kinds of friendships. There are friendships that get separated by circumstances. There are friendships that have to get put aside in the name of family. There are friendships that change and grow, and sometimes apart. These are all valuable and important too, and normal. I'd hate anyone to feel they 'failed' friendship but not conforming to the Harry-Ron-Hermione ideal of friends for eternity.

Ginny and Smita's friendship might look different, but it doesn't mean they love each other any less.

What was Changeling!Harry actually thinking then he rescued Ginny from the Chamber? She thinks he sees her in the middle of the "good vs slytherin" dichotomy, but she can be really terrible at reading Harry. (I'm just starting another reread of the series <3)

Harry doesn’t see her in the middle. Harry has some pretty black and white thinking, especially when he’s younger. Just another reason Ginny discombobulates him from a young age because Wealsey = good, but Slytherin = bad. That doesn’t average out to ‘in-between’ as much as ‘confusing as hell’. But always, always still worth rescuing and helping.

In the changeling, what was it that made the hat decide Slytherin over Gryffindor? Do you think it was purely ginny and what being in Slytherin house would bring out in her and how necessary it would be, or did it sense the part of Voldemort’s soul she possessed like it did in Harry and what that might turn her into?

I made a very conscious decision to not have Ginny write or interact with the diary until after her sorting. I wanted to sorting to be about her, no about what would happen to her. Even more, I did want it woven in that the hat sorted her not just for who she could become, not just for her cunning and her ambition and ability to be ruthless, but what Hogwarts needed. The hat showed a lot of prescience throughout the books, and I think it’s totally reasonable to assert that the hat suspected troubled times were coming--Voldemort just having made an attempt to get back in his body a few months before, Harry Potter being at the school. The hat, having seen generation after generation go by, would know how essential unity would be to the survival of Hogwarts and the students within. I like to think Ginny’s sorting wasn’t out of character, but it was also a careful gambit on the part of the hat. It couldn’t know who she would become, but her potential, oh yes, that is where the hat’s strength lies. And what a choice it would become. 

Part a movie adaptation was never gonna do justice was how unhinged/out there Katniss' inner monologue was at times.
