i do personally think jason and thalia were not powerful enough as children of zeus/jupiter (the king of the gods) and that they, especially jason, should not have been so much less powerful than percy, the son of poseidon who is maybe the second strongest god. i have some fun little thoughts on what powers they could have had (including some they do have already):

air control/aerokinesis

flight

slightly out of control electrokinesis

weather control including tornado, hurricane, flood, and storm creation

superhuman strength and durability

powerful aura

teleportation (maybe through strong gusts of air like shadow travel for nico)

aircraft manipulation

i think they'd also be able to very, very partially control water. specifically, they control any water in the air, so rain, water vapour, etc, and even then it's not very powerful. percy could very easily overpower them when it comes to water control as he is one with water while they can only command water. it's like percy with his geokinesis, where he can only control the earth through water.

i also think some fun powers some but not all zeus/jupiter kids could have are:

partial control of the feeling of passing of time

shapeshifting

shapeshifting others

size shifting

before you tell me they're way too overpowered, please take another look at the list of percy's powers (hydrokinesis, limited geokinesis, superhuman strength and durability, atmokinesis, toxikinesis, water healing/vitakinesis, hydrogenesis, heat immunity, watercraft manipulation, limited aerokinesis, partial zoolingualism, etc).

clarifying. i do not want them to be stronger than percy, but i want them to be equals or close to. i want people to actually not know the answer to "who would win in a fight thalia/jason or percy". i want thalia and jason to actually feel like the children of the king of the gods.

it’s always “haha, jason ate a stapler, that’s how he got the scar on his lip,” but we never stop to think about the implications of why he tried to eat that stapler. beryl was a neglectful, abusive mother who spent most of her time drunk, high, or pulling stunts for media attention. she didn’t bother to look after her children. she didn’t bother to feed them, play with them, or help them. thalia was forced to take care of jason, an 8 year old girl struggling to keep herself and her 1 year old baby brother alive. jason ate that stapler because he was starving. jason ate that stapler because he was neglected and had no one looking out for him other than another child.

the biggest thing thalia and percy have in common is not their being a child of the big three gods. but their unmatched adoration for annabeth chase. because listen. these two will fight each other any chance they get. but the second you speak ill on their girl. it's on sight.

Percy this. Percy that. It was always about Percy Jackson. All the fucking time.

It was always about the Hero of Olympus, the one who defeated Kronos and led the battle of Manhattan, the one who was offered immortality by the king of the gods himself, the one who restored glory to Rome by returning the golden eagle, the one who became praetor of the Roman camp in 2 weeks with limited training.

His Roman camp. Jason Grace's Roman camp.

Percy Jackson had pulled off everything in 2 weeks that Jason Grace wasn't able to accomplish despite dedicating his whole life for duty. 11 years of blood, sweat and tears, simply gone down the drain.

Jason had failed his camp. He had failed his home. Turns out, he wasn't as great as the people of Rome had once preached about him. It was obvious considering the less than warm welcome he had gotten from his so-called “home”.

He received no hugs, no cheers, no “we missed you jason!”, no “I was so worried about you!” or even a single pat on the arm by his “friend” Dakota. Dakota and Gwendolyn hadn't even spared a glance at him.

Nothing. Instead, this new Jackson boy was held up to worship like a god amongst the people who once considered Jason a “hero”.

Jason laughed bitterly. Was it selfish of him to be disappointed with Reyna? With a pang, he got to know that Reyna hadn't sent a single search party out to look for her “best friend”. Not like Annabeth did for Percy, not like Thalia did for Percy.

With a pang, he got to know that the whole camp basically deemed him as ‘dead’ and Reyna hadn't even set up a memorial of remembrance for him. The camp had simply moved on with their new hero. Without a single shred of thought for Jason Grace.

The forgotten Hero. The lost hero. Jason Grace.

These thoughts of doubt gnawed on Jason's mind, slowly eating him up ever since he'd first seen Percy Jackson in those damned praetor togas that once belonged to him.

He didn't dislike the boy, of course not, it wasn't Percy's fault that Hera wiped their memories or switched camps.

 But it was hard for Jason to not resent him, or feel even the tiniest amount of envy, knowing that Reyna willingly replaced him with Jackson. Very quickly too, at that. He overheard Octavian blabbing to his lackeys about how Reyna “was head over heels for Percy almost immediately”

“I guess that's it. Maybe I am someone who is easy to replace.” Jason thought, his eyes pricking as he looked over from the flying ship, at the place he once used to call home.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jason watched remorsefully as Thalia, Grover, Percy and Annabeth were all gathered at the table in camp half blood, cracking jokes about dam french fries or whatever that meant.
Thalia caught Jason's eyes, staring at all of them from a distance. She smiled softly, and gave him a tiny wave. He weaved his lips into something that was meant to look like a wry smile, but it came out as a slight grimace, as he waved back.
Thalia was so close to Jason, yet so far away.
He knew she loved him, but it felt different. And an annoying, nagging part of Jason had known that Thalia would never be as close to him as she was to Annabeth or Percy.
Ironic isn't it? Jason and Thalia were always connected since they came from the same womb, yet she was closer to Annabeth, a girl she'd found after she had run away from the same woman that had given Jason to the wolves. The same woman who had turned his life upside down by abandoning him.
Thalia had found Annabeth right after she thought she had lost Jason. In a strangely ironic way, Jason felt like he'd been replaced all over again.
Thalia had replaced Jason as a younger sibling with Annabeth without even realizing it, all of this took place mere months after a baby Jason was considered to be dead. This situation had strangely reminded him of Camp Jupiter, how he was replaced by Percy right after Jason was considered “dead” by Camp Jupiter.
This made Jason reach the possibility that if he were indeed “dead”, he wouldn't be missed. People wouldn't bat an eyelash. Since there was always someone better than him. Someone like Percy Jackson, who could easily fill the void Jason would leave behind.
His eyes watered, as he looked at how much fun his sister had with his friends. Knowing full well, that he'd never be able to do the same.
Jason felt ashamed that he had to ask Percy about Thalia’s likes and dislikes, he was thalia’s brother. He was supposed to know.
Jason watched as Thalia quickly hugged the trio, as she left their table to leave with the hunters, not even realizing that there was one person whom she forgot to hug.
Don't take it personally. Don't take it personally. She just forgot. She doesn't hate you. She just forgot. She doesn't prefer Percy over you. She's in a hurry. That's why she forgot. Jason repeated that like a mantra, the only person he was trying to convince was himself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“And he rejected immortality!- oh you should've seen Zeus' face!” Annabeth exclaimed to Hazel excitedly, as Percy was blushing at the compliment fountain being poured at him by Hazel and Annabeth.

Jason had always been fascinated by that story, the almighty Percy Jackson getting offered to become a god, by Zeus.

His father. Jason's father, Zeus.

Jason felt stupid and guilty for getting envious, it's not the fact that Percy had been offered immortality, no. Jason couldn't care less about being immortal. It was the person who offered Percy invincibility that bothered Jason so much.

Jason knew that even if he went to the ends of the world to accomplish something, his father wouldn't be able to praise him or even talk to him for a long time.

Zeus and Jason could never be like Hades and Nico, or Poseidon and Percy. That's just how it is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reyna had come to camp half blood for a fun visit. Jason would've been ecstatic in other circumstances, but in this case, he wanted to be as far away from her as possible. Because currently, Reyna seemed to be looking at everyone, but refused to meet Jason's eyes. She seemed to keep her distance as she laughed at something Percy and Piper were saying.
She may as well have just stabbed him, it would've hurt a lot less.
He had truly been naive to believe that he could make amends with Reyna. Now he knew, it would never be possible. There was too much pain mixed with bitterness on both ends. But seeing her get along with Percy reminded him of the old times of friendship he and Reyna had shared. Keyword: had.
Once again, the fates had shown him that Percy Jackson would always be better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As Jason Grace lay on the cold floor, coughing out blood. He realized he was alone, he was dying, but he was alone.

Like always. The sickly voice of Gaia, that had once haunted his nightmares, boomed in his head. Jason knew he was hallucinating as a result of blood loss, Gaia is in deep slumber. But that did not stop the voice in his head that was invented by his insecurities. Even in the end, you've been forgotten, Jason Grace. Because that's what you will always be. The second best. The leftover. The pawn who is discarded, after his purpose has been fulfilled. Percy Jackson would always be better in everyone's eyes.

To the Romans, you are simply the one who betrayed his lineage. But Percy is the one who restored glory. He did your job for you.

To the Greeks, you are simply a burden, one whom they were forced to welcome.

To your father, you are merely one of his many sons.

To your sister, you are a stranger.

Jason's resolve to live had weakened, hot tears were streaming down his face as he closed his eyes in defeat, he had come to the painful conclusion that nobody is going to come find his body. Nobody is going to mourn him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Oh I will always be much better than you at this! Bring it on, dude!” Percy laughed as he striked his play sword lightsaber at Jason's. They clashed.
“You wish, Jackson!” Jason shot back jokingly, as they sparred playfully with toy lightsabers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Jackson, you jerk. You were right after all, you will always be much better than me” Jason laughed bitterly, as he recalled that memory of his sparring session with Percy.

 Suddenly everything went black. The life had successfully ebbed out of him.

Little did Jason know, was that someone had indeed come to look for him. Tempest, his Pegasus had come to retrieve his body, but Jason was long gone. People had indeed mourned him. His friends were, indeed, anguished. His sister was, indeed, heartbroken.

Jason's soul parted this world, with the knowledge that he'd always be The forgotten Hero.

The lost hero. Jason Grace.

Demigod Powers!

Zeus

controlling thunder and lightning

ability to make storms (including hail, snow, rain)

controlling electricity and static

can fly

control storm spirits

create winds

make tornados

teleport (traveling through winds)

similar to charm speak, can order others to do things

shapeshifting- very rare

controlling eagles

creating cloud nymphs (summoning cloud nymph guardians)

gift of prophecy (rare) (can’t be wearing shoes while doing it) (this is a real thing i’m not making up)

gifts of public speaking (commanding silence, unnatural voice projecting)

ability to create light

inherent diplomacy (automatically knowing right words to negotiate/get out of something)

stealing the breath from someone (suffocating them)

able to just create sanctuaries monsters can’t get through (why thalia became the border)

ability to hold someone to their oath

cloud walking

automatically able to pilot aircraft’s (helicopters, planes, drones, etc)

cloud cloning people (it’s a thing in the myths)

can talk to birds

increased temperature endurance

enhanced speed (by reducing wind resistance)

manipulating the electricity in people’s brains (causing seizures) (source: @ebony-reine-vibes )

under Zeus Skotitas they can momentarily make things dark or murky to opponents in a fight

Under Zeus Konios— they can make dust appear in a fight  (again to cloud their opponents eyes)

he has a couple of titles about games/the myths about the olympic games, and i think in modern times this translates really well to board games, especially monopoly.

Sensing how honorable a person is

If a person is telling the truth or not (guilty or not– god of justice)

Increased endurance (don’t need as much air to breathe because used to higher atmosphere)

i desperately need to see the big three kids kick ass together. give me a scene where they don't hold back as they turns the tides against the enemy in the blink of an eye. give me the scenes of other demigods watching in awe and horror at how easily the big three kids take out a threat. give me the scenes that show us why the big three kids aren't a force to be reckoned with. give reason to the forbidden children.

In the same vibe as Percy choking Akhlys, may I suggest :

Nico causing wounds to necrotize. Even from a small scratch on your finger, it spreads so fast your only hope is an amputation asap.

Jason holding the air still in your lungs. You're not dying because you don't have air, but because you can't get it out and are literally choking.

Hazel controlling stones in jewelries. Imagine getting chocked by your necklace, your finger being sectioned by your ring, being handcuffed by your bracelets, your head being crushed between your earrings...

Thalia manipulating the electricity in your body. Causing your nervous system to move in certain ways, or just shutting down your brain activity.

The big 3 are terrifying, and I wish we would've seen them (others than Percy) being more op. Cmon Rick, show us reasons the gods are afraid of them !

Jupiter/Zeus Kids Headcanons

They can control the weather almost completely— if it’s raining, they can make it stop (at least around them and their friends)

They are either amazing leaders or they couldn’t find their way out of a wet paper bag and there is no in between

They can manipulate air flow (a god send on warm days in the summer or cold days in the winter— they are able to create nice cool breezes and nice warm breezes)

They can control the temperature around them (sort of like Nico can, but they have more control over it and a wider range with it)

They can control electrical currents, so a lot of them end up helping the Hephaestus kids with electrical work

They are electrically charged, which is amazing during blackouts— they become personal phone chargers

They can create clouds and flurries and stuff, which is amazing for when their friends get annoying— they get their own personal flurry!

They are the main cause of some of the biggest blackouts and electrical storms to date. Don’t piss them off that much, they will fuck you up

They tend to spark when they’re angry, so be careful around them!

They’ve also been known to have no mercy on anyone who breaks oaths or promises

Shockingly, they tend to be pretty good gardeners. Since they can control the amount of water/moisture and temperature around the plants, they tend to grow very well with the help of Zeus/Jupiter kids!

People tend to look to them for guidance and leadership, which they are either super happy about or detest with all their heart (again, no in between)

They cause lights to flicker when they’re upset (again, electrical currents)

It tends to feel fairly humid around them? Like, you could be in the dessert and everything would still feel humid if you’re within 10 feet of a Jupiter/Zeus kid

They all want to step out of their father and siblings’ shadows, but it rarely happens. They all want to be remembered for them, not the people around them

They’re usually pretty petty. Like, if you tell one of them to do something, they’ll do the exact opposite

Literally every Lare and monster and Ancient Figure holds a grudge against them for some shitty thing Zeus did forever ago (like with the spiders and Athena kids)

They can semi manipulate the powers of their Godly Siblings?? Zeus had power over everyone else’s realms, and could take away and give powers on command, so his demigod children can sometimes have that power. It’s usually not very powerful, and it works like an echo kind of? Like if Apollo kid used started using poetry curses on a Zeus kid, the Zeus kid might be mildly able to curse them back, or alter the curse

Seriously tho, they’re some of the most scary people ever when they’re angry (same with all the Big Three kids, tbh). Everything gets darker and colder and feels electrically charged and shit

They are their own defibrillators. They just rub their hands together to gather electricity to restart someone’s heart

If they’re stressed, random appliances turn on and off. Like, before the Battle in Athens, Buford the Table randomly shut down and the television Leo hooked up turned on at the same time as the microwave and the lights randomly turned on and off cause Jason was unconsciously fucking with everything

When Zeus/Jupiter and Pluto/Hades kids get together for Halloween, it’s amazing— especially their haunted houses. The lights flicker and there are actual zombies and skeletons and ghosts, and there are random cool and hot breezes and random flashes of lightning inside and it’s so fucking cool

They can make air semi solid to trip people up. Again, they are petty bitches like their dad

Their voices tend to crackle and pop when they talk— it sounds like thunder and lightning crackles, sort of static like a radio

That’s all! I don’t think I was the only one disappointed with the powers for Zeus/Jupiter kids in the books. Like, he’s an ass and a rapist but Zeus is still the king of the Gods. His kids’ powers should amount to more than ‘sometimes I can fly and use lightning’

I’m also going to be making Headcanons for all the gods kids (if I have time and the mental capacity for it, lol) so here’s a link to the masterlist

The children of the big three are painfully beautiful.

beautiful as poisonous flowers.

One touch and you're dead.

they are though—they’re venomous creatures, poisonous flowers, forces of nature. the world itself runs through their veins. gods treat them with caution; mere humans don’t stand a chance.

Percy is a riptide. he’s the calm of ocean, moments before its rage. he’s the sun on the beach, the warmth of the sand, the calming, constant crash of the waves. he’s the smell of the salt in the air and the cold of the water against your skin. you can swim, you think, you’ll be fine. he smiles and it’s more beautiful than a sunset over the shore. and then the pull starts. in seconds, you’re farther from shore than you’ve ever been before. trying to swim back tires you out and sees you no closer than before. in fact, now you’re even farther out. the water pulls you under, still as beautiful as it was from shore, and you can’t find your way back up.

Thalia is the eye of the hurricane. the deceitful calm at the end of the storm, luring you out from your shelter. there is nothing more peaceful, more still and tranquil. then sun peeks out from the clouds that surround you from all sides. the wind and rain have died. there’s a rainbow in the sky. the storm is over—except it isn’t. one moment is all it takes, and the hurricane is back with a vengeance. the wind tears at you, rain lashes at you, thunder shakes your bones in place. you walked too far from your shelter, and you might not be able to make your way back.

Jason is hail. the rain is beautiful. it’s a breathtaking storm: impressive thunder, streaking lightning, howling wind. the house shakes around you and the lights go out. the concussive sound of the rain on the roof is soothing, until it isn’t. until it isn’t rain, and the roof isn’t whole. now, the storm is invading your home. the hail is punching its way into everything it can reach. car alarms spring to life outside; those who were watching in awe are now fleeing in terror. it only takes one hit, after all—one lucky piece of hail—to end a life.

Nico is an earthquake. the planet is ancient; the ground was old before you were here and it will be old after you go. it’s sturdy, and supportive, provides life and food and shelter. long ago, when the ground danced, when it shook itself free and sent cities tumbling to the ground, they called it the gods’ wrath. now, it’s called plate tectonics. no matter what it is, no matter why it happens, it is lethal and dangerous and uncaring of those it affects. nowhere is safe when the world turns on you, and if it decides you and your shelter should fall, you will.

Hazel is a sinkhole. the appearance of stability, of rock-solid ground and firm foundations. nothing is wrong, will ever be wrong, she’s the rock that holds everyone up. and then that rock is gone, and you’re falling, down, down, down—your home collapsing around you, your belongings claimed by the morbidly hungry earth. there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, but is it sunlight, far, far above you? or is it magma, far far below?

Thalia doesn’t keep many things in the hundreds of years she’s been alive.

But long ago, there were people, their names all but distant memories, who mattered in her 1st lifetime. It’s their things that stay hidden in her bag, reminding her of her mortal life.

A blue hoodie, worn almost threadbare. The scent of its original owner, long since leached from the fabric. But if she closes her eyes, she can almost see the blue eyes of her first and only love.

A pair of glasses. Frames cracked and crooked. A reminder of a brother she never got to truly know.

A baseball cap. It’s magic long faded, branded with a forgotten logo. Memories of a blonde girl laughing hidden deep within.

A letter. Ink fading, paper yellow. The last words of a dying friend. Words that wish her well, words that wished her well in a world they had fought side by side to save.

Thalia doesn’t keep a lot of things, but even after all this time, Luke, Jason, Annabeth, and Percy will stay with her forever. The memories of her first family to remind her why life is so beautiful.

For the anon who asked me how I imagine the seven:

Annabeth. Legs, legs, legs for days. Sharp eyes and sharper words. Cries when animals die in movies but not people. Red or pale blue dresses. Big, lofty, voluminous curls. That baby sitter you have thats your first crush. Bites the inside of her cheek. Boxy jawline and delicate features and turns heads when walking down the street. Just wants a hug but will deny it. A golden crown and golden wings. Bruised knuckles. Blonde ambition.

Jason. Warm. A golden meadow in the sun. Rosy cheeks. Typecast as Prince Charming, the Quarterback, the Homecoming King. The proverbial son. Everyone’s crush. Can make the perfect paper airplane. A certain air of sadness. The perfect part to his hair. Accidentally shocks everyone. Fuzzy socks. Tall and athletic. Carries his golden retrievers in his arms. Knows he’s seen as perfect and hates it.

Hazel. Small and sprite-like. Tucked beneath chins when hugged. The little birds that sing in trees. Big eyes. Can’t hold a grudge against a friend to save her life. Tight, springy, corkscrew curls that just barely brush her shoulders like a dark, dense cloud. Puts her hands on her friends’ cheeks. A smile that could light up a room. Beautiful, warm, brown.

Leo. A mop of curls thats always blown back. Short. Tells jokes to cover the pain. Long thin fingers that are covered in cuts and bruises. Fireworks in the street at midnight. Shirts with the sleeves rolled up. A smile that says he will set something on fire. Accidentally explodes the microwave. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Unrequited love. Jumps into hugs. Likes making other people laugh. Sticks his tongue out in arguments.

Percy. A trouble maker smile. A daring smirk. The feeling you get when the roller coaster drops. Blasting Queen with the car windows rolled down. Late night city walks. Killer hair, dark and thick and tousled. A sharp jaw that clenches. Ducking beneath doorframes. Hugging your mom. The ocean during a storm. Twirling a baseball bat. A school uniform with an untucked shirt, a loose tie. Spontaneous slow dances. Baking cookies in the middle of the night.

Piper. Willowy. Average height that may be considered on the tall side if she weren’t surrounded by tall people. Snorts when she laughs. Hair that she cut herself at 2 in the morning. Different colored nail polish on every finger. Fantasy books. Songs with heavy bass. Scraped knees and elbows. Doesn’t like to wear revealing clothes. Poprocks. A smile that holds a secret. Sunset orange is her favorite color.

Frank. A teddybear. A round, joyful face. Is genuine when he says “Good game.” Makes the tough calls when asked for it. Early morning practice. Smiles at babies. Hoodies, hoodies, hoodies. Rubbing the back of your neck. Always is the shoulder to cry on. Hitting the bullseye every time. Snow ball fights. Definitely has turned into a dog to feel the pure joy of sticking his head out a car window.

Wanted to make a separate post about Jason and Thalia's potential powers because I think RR really missed some fun opportunities - especially w/ Zeus/Jupiter's status as god of law and order/king of the gods. Side note: I have an OC and original story that was inspired by my thoughts on the law and order powers so I've thought A LOT about them and the consequences/struggles someone might have w/ them

Zeus as the god of the sky:

The sky is a entire realm: air, the sun, the moon, the stars, clouds, rain, birds, etc. If Percy, Nico and Hazel can encompass the entirety of their father's realms, then so can Thalia and Jason.

Can create light like sunlight, moonlight, starlight

Lightning - can use it as a weapon (like a sword, bow and arrow, etc.), summon it from the sky, manipulate the electricity inside someone's body to control them or explode them

(re the above: I like to imagine that when they were little, Thalia used to distract Jason from Beryl's angry moods by creating little lightning orbs to float around his head)

Manipulate clouds, summon rainstorms, summon gale force winds, tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, twisters

Talk to birds (esp. eagles since that is Zeus/Jupiter's symbol)

Can use the wind and air to amplify themselves: enhance their senses (mainly smell, touch and hearing, but sight might also be possible), enhance their speed and strength, flying (canon)

(re the above: I like to think that Jason as a pack animal tends to use this power unconsciously to hold onto his friends, and keep track of them)

Healing using the air around them, may create a rechargeable battery effect where they continue to become energized as they use their powers, no matter how long a battle goes on

Zeus as god of law and order/justice:

I have thought A LOT about this one because of my OC, but basically they are so fucking stringent to their own personal rules. Everyone has rules that they follow - even if it's not explicitly stated, it's just things your mind has made up, like saying thank you to the bus driver or, for me, making brownies/cookies for my sister whenever she comes over to visit. With Thalia and Jason, these rules are of the utmost importance and they get very stressed out when people don't follow them.

Law/Rule inducement: can force their rules on other people, effective for turning enemies into allies, getting people to fall in line, only works if they themselves believe in the rule they're trying to force - varying results depending on someone's willpower and the importance of the rule enforced

Logic manipulation: somewhat similar to the above, can convince people that they're in the right - good for getting people to believe in planning, i.e. Thalia has a plan for trapping a creature that the other Hunters are wary on. She can manipulate their logic to agree with hers so they'll go through with the plan despite their reluctance

Order manipulation: again similar to the above, can create order in chaos, a nice example is throwing a pack of cards into the air and having it fall perfectly into a stack, getting a riot or an army to become a more organized in-tune form, works best in fights or creating structure in meetings (everyone shouting over each other, Jason manipulates/induces order on them and everyone quiets down, going one at a time to discuss their ideas)

Related to the above, both of them are very organized and neat to an almost irritating degree

Justice and punishment: a part of law and order is punishing those who break the rules so both of them get this innate desire to punish people who break the rules - more important the rule, the more harsh the punishment

Extreme sense of justice: children of Themis and Dike also have this problem (both are goddesses of justice), does create a black-and-white attitude about things sometimes

Zeus as king of the gods:

Innate leadership skills - compels people to follow and listen to them, works well with Athena, Ares, other war-related demigods, the kind who work best with someone in charge. They can radiate the energy when they need to, either intentionally or accidentally, to further compel people to follow them

Innate diplomacy skills - might appear only as needed (sort of like Percy's innate ability to sail)

Might add more thoughts later but!! There's a lot of potential with them and their powers - we don't see a lot of use with them in the books, which is so baffling because the potential!! Especially with Jason who was literally raised from near infancy to be a perfect soldier. He should've been more OP than anyone, tbh.
