TMNT RANT

I've always liked and watched TMNT, but I only recently got really into it and started getting into the fandom. I went on tumblr and scrolled through the TMNT tag and half of it is people simping for the turtles and other characters, the other half is them saying that people shouldn't simp. At first it didn't bother my because people have their own opinion, but then I kept seeing the same argument every time they talk about it. Every time I see them argue that people shouldn't simp they always say "Why are you simping for them? They're literally kids, they're teenagers. It's in the name, they would probably be freshmen is high school." I understand where they’re coming from when saying that adults shouldn't be crushing on children, but why is that the argument and not the fact that they are turtles? Maybe argue that they are giant mutant turtles, they are not human. If they were like Splinter who is an adult would it be fine? Even then, Splinter was at least human at some point in most versions of him while the turtles were always turtles. The only reason why that's not the argument is because they don't look like or act like actual animals, they are 6-7 feet tall with huge muscles, the simps aren't attracted to the fact that they are turtles, so no one is concerned that simps are gonna go out and fuck a real turtle, so why is that concern still there when we talk about them being teenagers. They do not look or act like kids, they don't even sound like kid! Every single version of the turtles were voiced by people that were at least in their 30's when their respective version came out. Now I know that them not looking or acting like teens don't mean they aren't, but that also goes for them being animals.

All of that is under the assumption that the person simping is an adult and not a kid just like the turtles, and to be honest it is most likely that they are, this is a Nickelodeon owned franchise and the main audience are kids and adults with nostalgia, so it's more likely people who are the same age or younger than the turtle boys, or adults that had a crush on them when they were kids, and that doesn't go away. It's normal to still have crush on a friend you had when you were younger or still think about your first love as a adult, but it's not normal when that person is a turtle boy? I still have a crush on my 4th grade crush, and yes I still think of him as a kid, but that’s because that's how I remember him last! I don't think about him and go "Ah yes, Caleb! If only I was an adult back then when I first met you when you were a child!" I think about the time he said I looked pretty with glasses and had a nice singing voice when we were both kids. He was the same age as me back and is still to this day, but since I’ve only known him as he was back then I only like that version of him and only see him as the way he was.

Not to mention that the turtle boys aren't real! Crushing on them or even writing fanfiction of them literally isn't hurting anyone because they aren't real. Sexualizing or romanticizing actual children no matter how old they look or act is wrong because they are still children and they don’t fully understand the concept of it all and what those thing entail, that leads to hurting them and leaving long lasting trauma. I’m not saying that isn’t true, what I’m saying is that since these are fictional characters and can be whatever age you want them to be, it hurts no one to romanticize or sexualize them. There are other fandoms that write fanfiction of actual people that are both human and adult but it actually hurts them. Like the One Direction or Fall Out Boy fandom, the fanfiction is based on real people and one day their kids, partner, or employer will see that shit which is embarrassing as fuck! People write fan fiction of Stranger Things or IT and while the actors are older now they still came out when they are kids. Why not get mad at the people writing fan fictions shipping the characters in that? Or even Stephen King himself for writing a sex scene of the characters as kids having an orgy in the sewers! Instead of called a weirdo or a pedophile , that man got paid thousands of dollars for both the book and then the movies.

So in conclusion, I need everyone to shut the fuck up and let me go back to reading the X Reader with Megan Fox's April O'Neil being jealous that Mikey isn't simping over her anymore, without author being bothered by haters and saying that they are gonna stop writing, that would be great!

Imagine being so pressed about what other people like, it has nothing to do with you so why do you care. The only reason I can think of if someone being mad is if they were mad that it wasn’t them. Why are upset unless you wish it were you? If you actually cared about people liking child characters in media then go worry about the people who like Eri or Anya from My Hero Acedemia and Spy X Family, those are children that are meant to act and look like children.

Baby Talk

Summary: This is if you talked to the boys in a baby voice. (I had the idea after bullying my brother's boyfriend with the baby voice and watching him get pissed, but then my brother did the same shit and he calmed down, I thought it was funny.)

Leonardo:

Doesn't like it. He feels like your talking to him like he's some cute puppy instead of your boyfriend, he's your man not your child. It irks him, but he doesn't get mad or anything, just a little pissy. He'll laugh and give you an irritated smile, he does his best to tolerate it because it's you but it still rubs him the wrong way. He doesn't want to tell you to stop because he likes that you find him attractive enough to be defined as "cute", it's just that "cute" wasn't what he was going for. He was going for more of a strong protector type of vibe, not a kitten you found in the alley which is how he feels.

If you do it for long enough, he'll just fucking snap and show how adult he can be. He loves you, but he can only deal with so much shit, he gonna shut that shit down. I hope you enjoy you "punishment" because for as long as you did that to him, he's gonna make you suffer for the same amount of time. ;)

Raphael:

For him, it depends on if you're in public or not. Because the baby talk is embarrassing and he knows that if his brother caught you doing that shit to him they would for sure tease him about it. If it's just the two of you alone and you do it, he likes it. Not specifically the baby talk itself but he likes the praise and affection that come with it. Sure you're calling him a "cutie-patootie" in a high pitched voice, but you're also cupping his face and showering him with face kisses and telling him how good he is for you and that you love him. This man is fine with you treating him like a dog if it's in private. Yes he is metaphorically on a leash, but you are literally giving him head scratches and calling him a "Good Boy" and honestly that's the life, isn't it? He doesn't really like being told what to do by Leo as leader because he so controlling, but when someone as hot as you does it, how could he not listen? When he listens to you there is a reward, and that reward come in many different forms of affection from cuddling to fucking.  

It's funny when he acts like he doesn't like it because one second he'll be like "Stop it, it's dumb." And when you stop he'll act like a puppy and beg by resting his chin on you and giving you a look. All he really wants is you to touch him, scratch his shell or kiss his face, he loves that the best.

Donatello:

He doesn't particularly like it, but he doesn't hate it either, he sees it more like an opportunity. He thinks it's silly and just ignores you as you just casually pet him and call him cute, but he wants to see for how long and how weird it can get. You're calling him a cutie and giving him head pats now, but how long does it take for you to just start rubbing your face against his and calling him names that aren't even words like "Snuggle-buggles". When it gets that weird, he'll start getting weird too.

He's a scientist, naturally he wants to know more about things that he doesn't understand, that thing being you. Sure he knows about general information about humans from book and the internet, but he wants to know you. The way you smell, the way the softest parts of you feel against his scaly hands, every detail of your iris up close. He wants to hold you close and not let go until he feel satisfied with feeling up every inch of you from playing with your hair to inspecting whats between your thighs, he wants it all.

He wants to know how weird you’re willing to get to get back the affection you have been giving. He doesn't do this on a regular basis because he doesn't want to scare you, he wants you to think of him as normal, he wants you to forget that he's not human by acting more “normal”, but the thing is is that he's not, he probably the weirdest out of all of the turtles.

When he gets this chance to just be weird with you, he gets you to sit on his lap or on a high up surface like a table and rests his head on the nook of your neck. You could be petting his shell or kissing his head, and not to say that he doesn't enjoy it, but he's not really paying attention to your actions. He's breathing in your scent, his hands are under your shirt just roaming and feeling up your sides and the small of your back. At some point he might bite you or something as he squeezes you thighs. It's just two weirdos doing some weird-ass cuddling and when you guys are done he'll act like nothing happen and that it's totally normal. If you ask about it or ask if it was weird or not, he'll remind you that you started it in the first place.

Michelangelo:

This man fucking loves it, eats that shit up all the fucking time. He'll even ask for it! He'll ask you to do things for him and his excuse is that "but I'm Baby". He is just laying down using you as a pillow as you pet him and tell him he's cute. You are basically making his dreams come true because noting is better than someone hot papering him. With every word of praise that slips from your lips he snuggles closer to you. He jokes that if he is ever crying that you should treat him like a baby and put your tiddies in his mouth, (don't matter what your gender is everyone has nips, if you have nips you got tiddies).

Just don't start calling him pet names that don't exist because he'll do it back and it will become war. You calling him a Snuggle-butt Beefcake? He's calling you a, Angel-loving Sweet Lemon. Just don't do it, it's only going to get weirder and weirder until at some point your calling him "Surfer's Wet Dream" and he's calling you "Pan Fried Rice".

Leo thinks it's funny. You two are just lounging around after he went on patrol, he likes to relax with you as you guys do your own thing together. He’s reading a book and your on your phone, the two of you just there enjoying each other’s company. He's at peace within the silence, and that's when you say it, it's out of nowhere. Nothing would have brought it up, but you said it anyways. "Leo, I think I have a crush on you." He's confused at first. "Thank you?" Then he laughs. "Oh my god, that's so dumb." He so embarrassed and flustered that he can't even look at you so he buries his face in his book. He'd just keep laughing and telling you how dumb and cute you are. When he calms down he'll smiles and say, "Wow, really? I would have never known." "Really? I thought I was making it obvious. After all the times I've kissed you, did you think those were just out of friendship?"

The more you talk the more he will keep laughing. Ask him if he wants to go out sometime. He'll play along and say, "I don't know, I'm already with someone and I don't think they'd want to share." He’ll smile and cup you face, kissing you between every punctuation. "They treat me good, and they're beautiful, and I think I'm lucky to have them. So I'm going to have to decline the offer."

Wow, imagine being rejected by your crush after already dating them, that must be rough.

Raphael:

Raph get super flustered, it reminds him of before you guys were a thing. He's doing something normal like working out and your with him to watch. He's doing push ups and he has you sitting on top of his shell as extra weight and he's completely in the zone. "Raph, have I ever told you how cool I think you are?" He laughs and takes the complement. "Yeah, you might have mentioned it once or twice. What about me do you think is cool?" He knows the answer, but he likes to hear you say it out loud. "Your strong, you do incredible things like it's nothing. Every time you do something it make my fat crush on you even worse." That's when his hand slips and he falls on his face. Did he hear you correctly? It shouldn't be a big deal because you guys are already dating, but to hear out loud that you still have a crush on him makes him nervous, like he is still the guy who thought he didn’t have a shot with you.

You two get up off the ground and he stand before you, one hand holding yours and the other is rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "You-....you still have a crush on me?" He's doesn't have the courage to look you in the eye because he feels like you guys are confessing your feelings for each other all over again. "Of course I do!" That's what gets him, it the  nonchalant-ness to it, it's the fact that you treat it like he should have already known. He turns away and tries to play it cool as he goes to do something else, your hand is still in his and you follow him to his next task. "What? You embarrassed?" "You can't just say that shit, okay?"

For the rest of the day he's gonna be doing things to impress you, doing harder work-outs, getting things for you from high places, doing things you tell him to do, he's yours to command.  Please praise him, he'll eat that shit up.

Donatello:

He's similar to Leo, he thinks it's cute, but will make fun of you for it. He's working on the truck and would have you handing him tools as he stays underneath it. When he comes back up he's covered in oil and he has his goggles on, he looks like a sexy mechanic. He goes to pick up his bottle of water and he catches you staring. "What is it? Is there oil on my face?" "No- well yes that too, but it's not that." You just smile and keep staring. He laughs but you're making him nervous. "Yeah? Then what is it?" He asks, putting his bottle back down. His full attention is now on you and he patiently awaits your answer. You take this to your advantage and decide to play with him a little. "Okay, sit down and get ready because I have something important to tell you." With that his interest has peaked and he looks around. You're sitting in his usual chair and he knows he's too heavy to sit on his work table, so he just sits on the floor and looks up at you with curiosity. You cup his face and look deep into his eyes. "Donnie, this might come as a surprise because I've kept this secret well, but I have a huge crush on you." He doesn't say anything, he just starts to laughing, it's more of a giggle honestly. You continue as you pet his cheeks with your thumbs. "I've been meaning to tell you this for some time now. Dear maiden, I was wondering if you'd do me the honor of letting me take you on a date." He laughs harder and pushes his rolling chair as he gets up. "Sorry, but you have to ask for my father's permission by giving him three goats." He jokes. You pretend that someone has shot your heart with an arrow and clutch you chest before falling limp in the chair.

He just laughs more and goes back to what he was doing, the smile on his face seemingly unfading. "You know what, that was so stupid." "Stupid funny? Or stupid idiot?" "Stupid as in it sucks that I really want to kiss you because of how stupid you are."

Michelangelo:

He feels the same way, he’s actually the one to say it first. You guys are just hanging out one day playing video games, both of you are messing around and trying to mess up the other’s concentration so you could win. He kisses your cheek last minute as a distraction but you win anyway. You scream and cheer, and he’s beside you over exaggerating the sadness of his defeat.

“Ah! No! Why did it have to end this way?!” He falls back on his shell as if he’s given up.

“Haha! You thought you could distract me, but little did you know that your kiss only made me stronger!” You laugh maniacally and he just looks at you with this strange look of appreciation.

“Y’know what? I think this is the reason I still have a crush on you.” You pause in surprise and you see his dopey love-struck expression plastered on all over his face and you can’t help but blush.

You smile and kiss his cheek. “That’s so funny because I think I have a crush on you too.”

Ok, so I know it’s a strange opinion and a lot of people are going to disagree with me but I still have to say it. The 3rd live action TMNT movie from 1993 was the best and let me explain. If you took it seriously then it’s a weird movie, but this is a movie franchise about giant talking turtles who know ninjitsu, so how seriously are you actually taking this movie. This is clearly a action comedy, it’s funny. I don’t know about you, but a giant talking turtles with a Brooklyn accent going back in time to give life advice to a young Asian boy is the funniest shit in the world. One of the turtles (Mikey) literally flirts with the said little boy’s sister like he’s Barry Benson from the “Bee Movie” while she’s acting all stoic while longing for her actual boyfriend. The bad guy is a creepy white dude who cares more about his birds than actual human life. His love for his birds is one of the causes of his down fall! That is so fucking weird! That’s why it’s funny!

Imagine being the person to pitch this to a movie executive. “Ok, so why does the turtle have a Brooklyn accent?” ”Because he’s from New York?” ”Then why is he in ancient Japan?” ”Because he and his brothers went back in time to stop a creepy white dude who may or may not really want to fuck his birds.” ”Oh ok, but I think the script their time traveling device is referred to as a ‘egg timer’ so is it small and egg shaped?” ”No, it looks like a large dildo with a lamp on it.” ”Great, here’s some money! This is going ti be the next big thing!”
