Between The Ruins And Memories
ย Between the Ruins and Memoriesย ๐๐๏ธ

On the shores of Gaza, where the horizon stretched endlessly, Khalil lived a life that seemed stable and secure. From his house overlooking the sea, he could hear the sound of crashing waves harmonizing with the sounds of the life he built through hard work and years of effort. ๐ ๐ His studies in university as a sound engineer were a gateway to a promising future; his work in renting out large sound equipment used for parties and major events was his source of income, and the residential building he inherited from his father housed many families, ensuring a decent life for his own. ๐ถ๐ค
But, in a single moment, everything changed. ๐ช๏ธ
ย Complete Destruction ๐๏ธ๐ฅ

The war came like a storm, leaving nothing but ruin in its wake. The home that was considered a refuge for the family turned into rubble. The sound equipment that once spread joy throughout the city was silenced forever under the debris. The residential building, which was a continuous source of income, collapsed as if it had never existed.

Today, Khalil, along with his wife Omnia and their children Nasser, Adam, and Baraโa, live in a small tent in the southern sector, where there is no safety or stability. โบ๐ฅ The tent offers no protection from the scorching heat of the day or the biting cold of the night. Hunger and thirst have become constant guests at their empty table, and the childrenโs eyes search their fatherโs face for answers: โWhen will we go back home?โ ๐ฅบ๐ฝ๏ธ But the home is no longer there.

ย Growing Despair ๐๐
Each passing day becomes harder than the last. Khalil feels the weight of responsibility crushing him, yet he has nothing to offer his family. Hunger gnaws at their health, and fear eats away at their souls. How can he tell his children that the life they knew is gone forever? How can he face their looks when they ask him about food, and he has little to give?

Omnia, his wife, stands beside him in this bitter struggle, but she, too, suffers in silence. She tries her best to soothe the children and reassure them, but deep down, she knows the future is uncertain and frightening. ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ๐๏ธ

ย A Faint Hopeย โจ๐ฑ
Yet Khalil does not give up. He refuses to succumb to pain, searching for a glimmer of hope in this darkness. He knows that there are those who may extend a helping hand and that despite all the hardships, there are still people who believe in humanity. But time is running out, and the tent cannot be home forever. โณ๐ก
ย A Call for Help ๐๐

If you are able to help, please consider donating to support Khalil and his family during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in their lives. Share this story with your friends and family, as it may reach someone who can help. Together, we can make a difference and restore hope to those who desperately need it. ๐โค๏ธ

Palestine fundraisers with easily-achievable goals

By "easily-achievable", I mean in the 50-60K range and below. Once again, drawing from my pinned list of fundraisers, which have all been vetted by Palestinians on Tumblr (check that post for the proof next to each family name). I'll update this post just like the main list and the "under 1000 donations" list. Many of these are extremely close to completing their funding. Let's help get them there!
As always, donate if you can, reblog if you can't!
LAST UPDATED 9/22
10K range
Aya's family Goal: 15K 1764 TO GO!
The Saftawi family Goal: 16K 1206 TO GO!
20K range

30K range

The Abushammaleh family Goal: 40K 1/3 funded
The Shaqoura family Goal: 45K 2/3 funded
The Aburass family Goal: 45K 1/4 funded
Note: The Aburass campaign is in SEK, so the goal is technically 450K, but converted to USD it's closer to 45. Ultimately I decided to include this one since USD, CAD, GBP, and EUR will be more powerful here, and a huge chunk of the site's user base will pay with one of those currencies. The more hands on deck, the better.
50K range
Amal's family Goal: 50K Under 1/5 funded
(Reblogged) The Baalou family Goal: 50K 1/5 funded
Walaa's family Goal: 50K 1/4 funded

Help Anas & Ahmed rebuild their future in Gaza
โ ๐ This campaign Vetted by association in this post โ
๐จ Urgent Appeal ๐จ
I am Anas Basil, a recent high school graduate with dreams of pursuing a degree in e-business management and building a career. However, due to my family's financial hardships, I enrolled at Khan Younis Training College (KYTC), affiliated with UNRWA. Sadly, the war has turned the college, once a beacon of hope and education, into a shelter for displaced families, stripping it of its educational purpose.
I completed high school with a 93% average, filled with excitement about continuing my education and securing a job to support my family. But like so many others, the war has shattered those dreams.

My Brotherโs Dream:ย My younger brother,ย Ahmad, is 14 years old and in the third grade of preparatory school. Weโve always called himย "Doctor of the Future"ย because of his intelligence and his natural talent in mathematics. Unfortunately, this is the second year he has been deprived of schooling due to the conflict.

Our Life in Displacement:ย The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we have been living in a tent for months. Each day, my brother and I wake up to fetch water, gather wood, and light a fire to prepare food. Survival has become our daily task, but we haven't given up hope. The conflict has affected us deeply, but it has not extinguished our dreams of education and a better future.

๐ How Your Donation will Help us:
We are seeking โฌ29,000 to help Ahmad and me leave Gaza, continue our education in Egypt. More importantly, it will allow us to support our family, who have been deeply affected by the harsh conditions and skyrocketing costs of living due to the ongoing war in Gaza.
We've outlined how your donations will make this possible. You can find all the details in the campaign link below.
๐ Donation link: ๐https://gofund.me/ace8d602
Your contribution will not only help us escape the war-torn reality we live in but also give us the opportunity to rebuild our futures.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to resuming our education and working toward a brighter tomorrow.
With deepest gratitude, Anas & Ahmad

These links focus on Palestinian-run grassroots initiatives that will reach Gazans on the ground, so all of these except eSIMs, PCRF, MAP, OOB are by Palestinians. Donating to international organizations is currently not ideal, as aid is still being stopped at the border. Please focus on Palestinian-run initiatives on the ground in Gaza instead.
Remember, small donations always add up. Any amount counts, even $1!
If you are unable to donate yourself, you can even adopt a fundraiser campaign to regularly boost and make materials promoting it online, or print posters and flyers about Palestinian fundraisers to encourage others to donate.

Donate please!!๏ธHello, I'm Mohammed, 22 years old from Gaza ๐๐ต๐ธ. Our lives were completely destroyed after October 7th. I have two brothers to support because my father passed away and my mother is old. I am displaced in Khan Younis in a small place. My house was destroyed. We are suffering a lot, so I resorted to the donation link in order to compensate for the least amount of what I lost. So I ask you through this link to donate to me even a small amount that may make a difference. Hand in hand we can. The link is in my CV
Hey, everyone! I'm making this post on behalf of Basil @basilmjaber, who is trying to get himself and his family out of Gaza! Unfortunately, he is very low on donations right now, at just โฌ1,126 out of the full โฌ25,000 goal. I know we can do better than that! Can we get donations in?
