"Pyrrha And The Rest Of JNPR Are Based On Tragic Martyrs! How Can You Write A Well-earned Happy Ending

"Pyrrha and the rest of JNPR are based on tragic martyrs! How can you write a well-earned happy ending in your reimagined AU!?"

Me: *currently stuffing dying-and-rising figures into them like suitcases* Yeah and Pinocchio doesn't die, become a real human, and die again and Lampwick doesn't stay human and get eaten by a monster, yet here we are.

Amen.

I saw what Sun, Blake and the others could be, and I’m not letting that go to waste

Wasps: “Wether you do an AU or you recycle Sun, Blake and BlackSun and other stuff, it won’t change canon! And it would suck and nobody would like it!”

Me: “Okay, then why do you give so much of a shit?”

fanon is better than the whole of the canon show. they can go fuck themselves, tbph. <3 <3

See, with how you describe subversion, it’s far more appetizing

I 100% agree with James in early volumes, best subversion of “Military Moron” since the general from The Iron Giant and as much as I dislike the direction V3 onward(mostly due to what I saw what RWBY and it’s world and characters could have been) he was someone who I admired as a General surrounded by “Agent Mansley”s

Then as I heard, they threw that in the trash and used his PTSD(Him being a cyborg and a veteran for God’s sake) to make him the very thing he was a subversion of

Real class act.

I'd say "I'm starting to think you don't know what that means" but let's be honest, "tropes" means "expectations" in your language.

If anything, we should be asking *Filthy Frank Voice*

“But-wha…Why do you give a shit?”

Also these are the same guys who say “They’re fiction, their no real, chill my man, it’s not that deep”

Then how the fuck is it delusion then? Especially when it’s an AU and the most of us aren’t trying to claim to be canon?

Also isn’t fanfiction originally the original way people viewed storytelling in the old days or something?

It’s all about controlling other people with these fandoms, it’s the fact they want to control or at the very least suppress what you think, feel, and create…

your ship isn't canon.

And what if I keep living in blissful delusion? What then?

The more you try to be like something else, the more likely you won’t

I just read an article that was a list of anime’s fans of ATLA should watch, and y’all… RW//BY was on it lmao

Exact quote:

“RW//BY isn’t a traditional anime as it’s produced in the United States of America instead of in Japan. It does, however, use a lot of the elements fantasy anime is known for, including a trek across the known world, just like in Avatar. The teams in RWBY are born out of school assignments instead of necessity, but like Avatar, the group of teenagers is tasked with stopping someone who wants to use their power to ruin the world. Taking inspiration from fairy tales, the audience will find a lot of things familiar about the story, but with new twists on characters and happy endings. The series deals with grief, the burden of responsibility, and fear in a lot of the same ways Avatar does.”

Not even getting into everything false about this, but the bit about it deals with heavy themes the same way… that in itself is so inaccurate, I’m in tears lol
