decided to doodle xemmy after her giving birth to her 3rd child. Didn’t feel like doing line art because I really liked the sketch. 

thank you thank you thank you, your post on animal behavior and why toothless went after the lightfury and how he wasn't picking her over Hiccup was A+. It makes me sad that so many people think that the movie made toothless abandon hiccup over a girl, when he was just following his instincts. Their friendship is so strong and seeing people doubt that really hurts

But seriously, no problem, I was just kind of disappointed that so many people had something negative to say in the trending httyd 3 tag.

It was even more annoying that many people IMMEDIATELY turned to "oh, the developers are trying to override the story by shoving het romance in our face"

While in nature there are many cases of animals naturally experiencing homosexuality (this includes deer and sheep) or species gender switching (amphibians and reptiles), the point of the light Fury was supposed to not only be a driving force for hiccup to be okay with toothless taking his freedom, but the hunters were the main reason the dragons had to go underground.

I feel to reinforce the idea that toothless is still loyal to hiccup, they should have given him a chance to come back without hiccup being a driving force. Which they tried to do but it wasn't clear.

But at the same time I may have been more prepared for this information because not only did I listen to the original books on audible, but after the first movie, I read an article where DreamWorks outlined the shape for the movies. There was only meant to be three. They changed certain things like in the books, there was no red death in the first installment. In fact toothless isn't even a night Fury! In the first book, he is described as a small green, garden variety dragon.

I saw people talking about not accepting the last movie as canon, technically none of the movies are canon, not when the source material is the childrens novel and is VASTLY different.

But the point I was trying to make is, with a lot of people who have pets, especially cats and dogs, a lot of the mannerisms are the same. The sniffing, the circling, (mating dance is more of a bird/spider/insect thing), frothing/drooling/panting (from the scene in the stables, gross! Lol).

A lot of toothless' behaviors are based on feline behaviors (as shown by animators) but he is clearly an combination of other species behavior. I recognized a lot of behaviors toothless was doing and had to deal with the same, if not worse with my own dog. (Which stopped after a month of him being neutered might I add)

I think people are having a hard time dealing with the ending (where I knew we would be losing toothless and the others since the first movie lol, I did my grieving), because they don't want to see and ACTUAL ending to such a great series. Honestly I would prefer an ending with closure, rather than have a 6 part series and 7 mini movies and 3 for TV or Netflix series and it become an internet joke.
