I’ve seen that post and I honestly love it. They had a lot of valid points and I can’t wait to see what the Duffers do with that. That being said, I still think it’s unlikely. Hopefully he’ll play a bigger role in s5 though.
Okay listen. Do I want Mike Wheeler to be vecna’d? Hell yes. I think his character needs it, honestly. Do I think he will be? Probably not. See, he is almost always standing on the sidelines of another character going through something he can’t help with (The one exception being when he almost jumped off a cliff for Dustin)
(Will being possessed, El closing the portal and disappearing, Will and El disappearing or leaving, the whole final star court mall fight, etc.)
He is almost never the one in the most direct danger. Even in the newest season he was benched and had to play support again.
The Duffers seem content with this formula (one thing they rely heavily on) and I don’t think it’s going to change. Which is sad because I think his character could honestly thrive from being Vecna’d and finally being the one in the most direct danger.

Can we have more Nancy and Mike interaction next season?? Please?? I could write a god damn essay on them PLEASE. I need more of them canonically interacting.
Let Nancy be protective of her younger brother. Let her be worried about her vision coming true.
Let Mike be kind of confused and act like she hates in but in reality he doesn’t. Let him look up to Nancy.
Let the two characters be awkward, let them talk and bond, let them become closer. PLEASE!!
Can we talk about Johnathan Byers for a second?? Can you imagine how hard it is to be that sexy and amazing all the time?? How does he do it??
