Stumbles out of google docs covered in blood
I was trying to talk about Johnathan Byers the other day and I called him ‘Johnathan Blyer”
My brain is not functioning.
Cant decide.
Inside you there are two wolves:

Yes!! I’m sorry he was what? 12? Maybe it’s my aromanticisum speaking but kids that age don’t fall in love. They can have crushes (which I don’t think is what was happening with Mike TBH) but they don’t fall in love.
Him feeling guilty is much more likely and much more in character. Also makes sense as he almost as if he owes El something.
Broke: Mike was so devastated after El disappeared in season one because he was in love with her.
Woke: Mike felt extremely guilty for essentially using El to find Will and being mean to her at times because he actually started to care for her as a friend towards the end and he felt guilty that she sacrificed herself for him and his friends and it really weighed heavy on his mind because he felt that he didn't deserve that loyalty from El and that El deserved better, plus he literally SAW her "die" which is enough to fuck up any kid.
Okay so I might be going insane but I noticed this thing in stranger things that I haven’t seen anyone else talk about.
In season 3 we see Joyce ask Hopper on a date right before the climax. (Enzo’s on Friday) He says yes. Then, in that same episode we see Hopper ‘killed’ and then revived.

In season 4, we see Lucas ask Max on a date right before the climax. (The movies on Friday) Max says yes. In that episode we see Max ‘die’ and the revived.

Each time someone asks another character in a date (on Friday) before the climax, the character that agrees to go on it always ‘died’.
This is what I mean by the Duffers are formulaic.
