i have to say the most evil part of dream’s character (aka what makes him the most formidable antagonist) is his complete lack of attachment to anything. sure he wants the discs but is it really out of affection or is it a grab for meaningless power that, as the most powerful on the server, means virtually nothing? he has no pets to protect, no base to grief, only george who also has barely any personal attachments. 

compared to everyone else on the server, he’s untouchable. he has no weakness. and that both makes him a terrifying villain and a very unsympathetic character.
