Happy Valentine's Day @theancientwonder ! I'm not very familiar with karlnapity lore, so I opted for something simple and sweet! All I'm aware of is that there's currently pain going on, so I was like "we can't have that on VALENTINE'S day!", and thus, theme OT3 moodboards! I made two variations, a normal red theme with pretty basic images, and a bi flag theme! And then, decorative variations of both... I really hope you like my little gift!

I specifically wanted to hit that nail on the head, that people didn’t care about Sam playing a female PC in campaign two, but the MOMENT he played a nonbinary or gnc character, they were up in arms. It was meant to be a question directed at those people. I wanted to showcase that this wasn’t a matter of the players playing a PC with a gender different to their character, it was just a blatantly transphobic complaint transphobic critters were making. How were they gonna be fine with a guy playing a female character, but not a guy playing a nonbinary/masc character? That’s transpshobic nitpicking.

I agreed with your post completely, but I just felt like that distinction could be added to your argument. I’m not good at phrasing things sometimes, so thank you for asking me to clarify!

Edit: It was meant to be some sort of straight to the point question to those transphobic critters if they ever came across your post/my reblog of it, I can see why you could see it as me directing it at you. But not at all! I think you made great points.

I know some people wanted all new characters but I can’t help but feel like the people complaining about the ExU characters (in earnest, not just saying, aw, not what I wanted, but those genuinely angry they “are being forced” to watch ExU now or whatever) are shockingly entitled. Matt had said that the players who are continuing with those PCs decided they would prefer to after playing ExU. Even with as extensive and impressive as The Critical Role Extended Universe™️ is now, it is literally still their game that they have invited us into, and as long as Crit Role continues to be completely free (or “pay what you want,” if you want to be really pedantic), I think it’s ridiculous for people to ever expect them to sacrifice their enjoyment for basically any reason. Not to mention it would literally ruin the show, but seeing into their game is still a privilege and not a right.

And I won’t even touch the complaints about Sam and Taliesin playing characters with “he/they” pronouns. People can play characters with whichever pronouns they want regardless of their own gender identity and pronouns, I am begging you to go outside.
