I think a lot of people haven't actually read Flatland so you may not realize A. What Bill's eye mutation means and B. What precisely Bill did to destroy his homeworld.
Bill's home isn't completely the same as Edwin Abbott's Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions (notably, women and men can be both polygons #feminism) but we can assume most of the mechanics are the same. The basic premise is that the world is 2D. Everyone perceives the world in a 1D way, along the plane. There's a part of Journal 3 that describes this pretty well.
Bill can see up to the stars because his eye is on the flat surface instead of on the side like everyone else, like this:

But there's one more important Flatland detail. The denizens of Flatland (and therefore likely Euclydia) do still have organs "inside" their bodies. Since there is no depth, they're just on the inner radius of their bodies. The 2007 Ehlinger movie adaptation shows that:
If Bill wanted to "give his world a new perspective" and "show everyone what they were missing," he wanted to get everyone to look upward.
Meaning he probably tilted the entire world.
Meaning everyone not only slid off of the plane, but all of their organs spilled out and everyone died.
...Hence "so much blood."
(The only issue with this is that it doesn't account for the number of times Euclydia is referred to have been burned ("saw his own dimension burn / misses home and can't return", he only has ashes leftover), but I'm sure the act of turning an entire dimension upwards expends a lot of energy.)

hey hi hello! u are my favorite billdip creator and i was wondering how u feel after the book and now the website. clearly there’s a lot of billford propaganda now (i personally dont like it but i absolutely get why people do) & the reinvigorated hatred for billdip.
im also struggling to see why we ever started shipping them in the first place tbh? and i feel bad about it? i know it’s all been for shits and giggles but i used to be so convinced they were soulmates. and now i see canon material and its like huh…. bill really dgaf about dipper huh 😭 or maybe he does. i dont really know. its been so, so long without any real content that i dont even know how to feel rn. however i do know that the ship is super fun regardless so this doesn’t really matter.

I haven't really been keeping up with all the lore regarding the website, but I was absolutely overjoyed to finally get ahold of the book! I wouldn't exactly call all the Billford material coming out "Propaganda." That makes it sound like they're trying to force something.
Nope! I think they're just very, very excited for all the new material that's come out in support of their ship, and I am in full agreeance that they should be burning down cities with their extensive fireworks show. Not my personal taste, but as Pi Patel once said, brothers and sisters of a different faith 🫡
It's always discouraging coming across hate for something you love so much, and recently we've been seeing a heavy incline of just that. "Block and Move On" could not be more relevant right now.
Something to cheer you up though, and hopefully remind you that there IS still a community for you to be apart of, is while the Billdip hate is ever-growing, I've also seen a significant uptick in my posts these past few days.
At the cost of our peace of mind, there is, remarkably, a soft re-emergence coming about this ship that I am forever grateful for! People revisiting after years of inactivity, disinterest, lack of new material. It's bittersweet in a lot of ways, but I would gladly live amongst the rubble!
I totally understand your discouragement. It can be sad watching ships sink, but that's kind of the thing about Billdip that I don't understand people's hate for? It can't happen, won't happen - clearly, we're just doing this for fun, because never in its four years of airing, did give us even a crumb of verification. Not even an atom.
It's kind of why The Book Of Bill doesn't absolutely devastate me. You can't kill Billdip in a way that matters. Realistically, we're not even a ship. We're in the belly of a whale, in the middle of the ocean, thousands of miles from the nearest speck of land, tired, dirty, but somehow still alive, eating blubber, living in it's less-acidic organs.
I've never been disillusioned to their actual relationship, but I don't think people have to be in order to enjoy the ship! It's always been about the intrigue for me.

All this bullshit speech happening about what's Canon and what's not is completely missing the point of Fandom.
We are consumers as well as producers. What we eat is what we spit out. If we want material for billdip, we don't have to wait for it, and we don't need authentication from God to do it.
I don't need canon to baby-bird feed me back my own hopes and dreams, lest I give up on the ship I stapled my left tit to. We've been at this since Gravity Falls ended eight whole years ago; this is OUR Roman Empire😌🤝😌
New material is always welcome! But the ENTIRE FUCKING SHOW couldn't stop us from writing fanfiction and making fanart and getting into little groups for events and headcanons and make friends, so it shouldn't stop us now 💪😤
