A Lesser Known National Park, Congaree National Park In South Carolina Has A Unique And Quiet Beauty.

A lesser known national park, Congaree National Park in South Carolina has a unique and quiet beauty. Waters from the adjacent Congaree and Wateree Rivers periodically sweep through the floodplain, carrying nutrients and sediments that nourish and rejuvenate this ecosystem. Forested wetlands, oxbow lakes and slow moving creeks provide habitat for fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and insects. Visitors can discover the park鈥檚 mysteries by foot, canoe or kayak.
