Thinking about the fact that the fandom saw the Theon and Ramsey’s dynamic and said “we can write wonderfully tragic modern AUs about this as an abusive pairing” and never looked back since.

I need to stop being so mean and start being more like Davos. Why can’t we all be more like Davos. He’s just a funky gay old sailor dad who loves every person under 30 he meets like they’re his own children. He sees any slightly sad youth and BAM -- Dadvos strikes again.
I haven’t said anything asshole-y for a hot minute so let me just say that slight empathy and some mutual suffering are not good enough reasons to me to ship a 11 year old girl with a man in his late twenties, SanSan shippers.
Like if you wanna protray the ship as a toxic or disfunctional relationship(like say, most things thramsay) that’s understandable and could be interesting!!, don’t get me wrong. But claiming that it isn’t in any form problematic or weird/gross is mind boggling to me.
