Percy when mildly angry

Friendly reminder that Percy jackson - our beloved silly adorable seaweed brain - is absolutely terrifying. When he’s angry, when he’s scared, when he’s on edge - he’s not warm and fuzzy.

No other character gets that reaction from people. Jason (the sweetie) is perceived as calm and in control, nico (our favorite self-outcasted outcast) is perceived as solemn and creepy, reyna (girlboss queen slay) is perceived as confident and assertive, and annabeth (our girl) is perceived as fierce, clever, and formidable. They are all intimidating to an extent.

But not like Percy. No. Becasue even when he’s at ease, he’s described as wild and disobedient. And when he’s not at ease, even if just little bit, he’s perceived as powerful, dangerous, and scary. Someone who NOBODY wants to mess with. Nobody even questions his power. One look from him has literal gangs running the other way. One look from him has Leo so scared that he’s literally shaking, and feeling the same innate fright and alarm that he does when jason summons an ear-piercing, earth-shaking, deadly bolt of lighting.

like… HELLO??? can we all just sit on that for a moment?? good lord

One angry look from percy has people thinking one thing: Run.

Percy is, canonically, the character that people find the most frightening and intimidating.

And unless he’s in a good mood - which you better hope he is - the reality is that most of us would be completely terrified of him if we met him.

my roman empire is james and regulus being a couple for years as teenagers.

both men being teased for remaining chronically single.

james asking sirius about regulus, and being shut down with an "i dont want to talk about him,"

regulus staring at him during meal-times. his friends assumed he was looking at sirius.

james asking lily out, in seventh year, and everybody breathing a sigh of relief: "thank merlin, hes not queer"

regulus stiffening when "wouldn't it be nice" started playing.

james blatantly refusing to have his and lily's first dance to "can't help falling in love" for a reason nobody could quite understand.

regulus still smelling james in amortentia, even years afterwards.

james knowing something is wrong, in his gut. nobody believes him when he says that something terrible has happened.

no-one understanding, or wanting to understand, why james potter was so affected by his best friend's little brother dying.

james telling lily to run, but not moving. he wasn't scared; he'd see regulus again soon.

Thinking about the fact that Luke said he would be on Annabeth’s side always. Thinking about him leaving as soon Annabeth intervened between him and Percy’s fight. Thinking about whether or not he believed that by leaving he was still somehow choosing her by choosing not fight them. Thinking about how he would’ve felt if he had heard Annabeth’s speech to Hephaestus or if he’d known about everything Athena did. Thinking about how upset Hermes was when talking to Percy and Annabeth about Luke and his mother, and the way that Luke was immediately angry when Percy mentioned his father. Thinking about how Luke must’ve felt abandoning the only family he had left - just like his father “abandoned” him.

Jason: I don’t remember much about my past. Well, except that I’m a child of Jupiter. Oh, and there’s another god. Oh, and all the Roman names for all the gods.

Percy: Idk, I know I’m in love a girl named Annabeth and I hate a bitch named Ares. Other than that…

Petition to get Ryan Reynolds to play Paul Blofis in the PJO tv show. Sally Jackson deserves an exceptionally hot husband, and Ryan and Walker have such great chemistry in The Adam Project that I just want to watch them work together again. Ryan Reynolds was made to play the clueless but loving and well-meaning stepfather, and tbh if this show gets popular enough I feel like he'd be into it.
