Reading the last Olympian, thinking about Regulus Black in Otb using the Legacy like how Percy uses the River Styx. Thinking about Sally Jackson allowing her boy to do this, to save people and how Pandora does the same. Thinking about Dorcas who brings Regulus back, motivates him, and Annabeth who does the same for Percy. Thinking about Moaning Myrtle as Nico, leading him through the whole process giving him information. Thinking about all the parallels between OTB and TLO.
I’m fine, I’m just imagining Percy growing up and drifting from Sally because they live in two different worlds. They love each other and try to stay close, but Sally can only understand Percy to a certain level. But I’m okay.

Petition to get Ryan Reynolds to play Paul Blofis in the PJO tv show. Sally Jackson deserves an exceptionally hot husband, and Ryan and Walker have such great chemistry in The Adam Project that I just want to watch them work together again. Ryan Reynolds was made to play the clueless but loving and well-meaning stepfather, and tbh if this show gets popular enough I feel like he'd be into it.
Girls when they think about how Kubo's mother couldn't walk so she dragged herself to him and how Camila Noceda gave Vee all the love she had even after she lied to her pretending to be Luz and how Moro knew she was dying and planned to use the last of her strength to kill Lady Eboshi but threw all that away when she saw her daughter in danger and how Ursa protected Zuko believing she would never see him again and when Sally stayed with an abusive man to protect Percy and then they remember their own mother saying "I am trying to love you!"

Can we talk about Percy seeing his mom in the underworld?
Look at how horrified he is.
There isn’t even a sliver of relief at seeing his mom again. The only thing on his face is wide-eyed terror.
Now look at what Sally looked like:
Did anyone else think that it seemed kind of familiar?
Did anyone else think that it kind of looks like she’s frozen in gold?
Percy saw his mom and it instantly reminded him of being encased inside Hephaestus’s trap in Waterland. Paralyzed and awake while he suffocated slowly and painfully. He’s remembering the panic he felt when he thought he was going to die and how much it hurt when he was freed; Even though he was alive, his lungs burned with every inhale and his head spun from lack of oxygen.
Now he’s putting his mom in that position
"You're gonna need to be brave now. Remember what I taught you. Hold fast. Brave the storm."

Sally names Percy for the happy ending she hopes he’ll get. she spends hours researching demigods and their ends. Heracles, poisoned and given immortality as a leash. Bellerophon, revered for his deeds and killed for his hubris. Achilles, feared by all yet slain in battle. none of those would be her boy. She names him Perseus, for his successes and his long life, and she hopes it will help protect him, this name.
Percy is thirteen, recently returned from his first week at Camp, when Sally calls him by his full name. what had caused it, she can't remember. all she can remember is her strict, "Perseus Jackson––" and her son's poorly hidden, full-bodied flinch.
Sally knew––gods, she knew––that he would face hardships. she knew he would have to learn to fight, to protect himself, to kill––but that knowledge hadn't been enough to dim her hope. it was that flinch, that fear that he'd quickly cleared from his eyes at hearing his own name, that started to eat away at her hope like rot.
let me be delusional. let me believe that annabeth heeded percy's advice at the end of the summer and went to virginia, only to realize that in the five years she's been away, her father hasn't changed. let me believe that annabeth ran away from home once again, intending to live at chb until she's old enough to live on her own. let me believe that during the boat ride she and percy go on later that year in the SOM, annabeth admits that she's been staying at camp since a few weeks after the summer ended. let me believe that after the quest, percy offers annabeth his living room couch in case she ever gets tired of being at camp all the time. let me believe that annabeth takes him up on the offer one night and sally does her best to make her feel welcome. let me believe that annabeth starts visiting the jackson residence more often, so often that she has extra pairs of clothes and a toothbrush over there. let me believe that when annabeth falls off the cliff and gets held hostage in TTC, all she wants to do is go home, and for the first time, 'home' stops meaning the sixth cabin in a bordered-off summer camp, or a thirty-minute nap in an abandoned alleyway - it starts to mean a certain apartment in manhattan with blue chocolate chip cookies and the occasional movie nights on the living room couch. let me believe that after TTC, sally sits annabeth down at the kitchen table and asks if she feels comfortable with her filing for guardianship. let me believe that a few weeks later, annabeth is sitting in a court room, squeezing percy's hand as they watch sally fight for custody over her. let me believe that as soon as the judge grants sally guardianship, annabeth cries into percy's shoulder because after years of running, she's finally found a family that chooses her.
For anyone worried Gabe isn't enough of a slimeball to justify what happens to him, just remember Sally Jackson is always right. She can turn whoever she wants to stone and I'll believe her that they deserved it.

as a fan of the books as well as the tv show ima js go out a say some of the book fans are too damn picky. rick has had over 10 years to think and redo things to make the series how he wants it to be. if i wrote books almost 20 years ago and had a choice to make a tv show, i would change shit too. if y’all want a carbon copy of the books, then read the damn books and stop hating on the cast.
