Back In The Late 60s, There Was Great Strife In Our Country, And Today The Level Of Degree Of Division

Back in the late ’60s, there was great strife in our country, and today the level of degree of division and disagreement is even greater that - and that to an even higher and disturbing degree.

With such a high and agitated degree of discord and division in our country, it is very disheartening to see how far we have all fallen from what our founding fathers conceived as a UNION of thirteen separate states to become “The UNITED States.” Their declaration and intention was for a people of all races and religions to live united together under ONE banner and ONE national identity.

Today that national identity is being challenged and threatened to be divided against itself. So what is the answer to this division? It is called faith, BOLD FAITH that despite what forces are working against our national unity that God is with us, and that through fervent prayer for our country we can come together again and rise above whatever corruption and evils that have been hidden by our leaders and for these evils to be revealed.

It isn’t enough to say “I have faith,” because faith is a CHOICE you make, and it takes hard work and perseverance to work it out and live and walk in it every moment of the day. Noah and his family persevered for 120 years when building the ark, Moses did before the Red Sea, Job persevered through his affliction, and Jesus did on the cross.

In this time of trial LET US PRAY with all our hearts for our country, our president, congress, and courts that God’s truth and justice prevail and we will once again be ONE Nation Under God.

Only through the Lamb of God can this be possible!

Hold on, walk and live in FAITH in GOD and PERSEVERE!

When we were first learning to read we had to pay close attention over each letter and word to comprehend the meaning. This also applies to the Word of God because at a casual glance, it may not make a lot of sense and requires a concerted effort:

“I have declared my ways, and You answered me; Teach me Your statutes. Make me to understand the way of Your precepts; so shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.“ Psalm 119:26-27

God’s Word is alive and active, and our bodies actually respond to it when it is read out loud! I can testify to this personally because I was very sick and I faithfully read God’s healing scriptures out loud and it was not long before He had healed me and now I am Perfectly Well!!! Praise God!

How did this happen? Well, I believed every word I read and professed it daily and often hourly out loud so that God would hear me, but just as important I also believed and expected in faith that God would heal me. In fact the Word instructs us to do so:

“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eye; Keep them in the midst of your heart For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20

God works in the way he works. For whatever reason we may not always be healed BUT we are instructed to meditate and regurgitate his Word. The blessing may come in a variety of other ways, as he seems fit.

My dear friend, trust in the Lord and put all your faith in Him, not just some of it. Let His Word sink deep down inside of you and desire to know it more than anything in all of this world. Read His Word every day and before you go to sleep and when you first wake up and you will be amazed at what happens inside of you!

Lucifer was the highest ranked angel in all of heaven, and although he had all the power, position and precedence over all the angelic realm — second only to God — he rebelled against God because he thought he could be like God. When that happened, he was thrown out of heaven and thrust down to earth along with all the angels that also sinned with him.

You see, God cannot have sin in His presence, and the sad reality is that most people do not recognize how disdainful sin is to God, and how it keeps them away from Him, both now and in eternity. Sadly today the very word is blissfully ignored, but the fact is this: SIN IS REAL and it is the greatest downfall to every living soul and must be recognized and repented of by every human being if they are to eventually stand in God’s presence.

While you may casually walk through the sin door and quietly close it behind you thinking that what you do will be hidden, God’s eyes see everything, and He knows the heart, ways and deeds of everyone. No sin is hidden from Him. When we break God’s law his statutes of righteousness are a mirror that reflects back not the self-righteous good person that we think we see, but to see our sin as God sees us. But if that is the case, what is the solution?

Well, if you are living in sin, deep down you know it, so don’t ignore it! Now’s the time to do something about it! Shut the door on sin and open the door to God. Right now, get on your knees and ask God to forgive you and help you to give up whatever sins are tripping you up, and no matter what it is! He will help you find a way to end it.

Your life is precious to God and He loves you so very much. That’s why He has made a way for us to escape the destruction of sin through Jesus Christ who died for you, paid the fine for all your sins, and ransomed you from death to set you FREE!

If you are living a life that you know deep down inside is wrong, pray this prayer :

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I have sinned against heaven and in Your sight. I am not worthy to be to be called your child. I have broken your holy laws and been disobedient, wayward and selfish. Please forgive me and help me to live right before you. Dear Lord Jesus, come live inside me and make me strong so that I will give up my sins and live a clean life before you very day. In Jesus name I pray,

Several years ago, I was called for jury duty. Upon checking in, I received my juror number, was directed into a large room of a hundred people and told to come forward when my number was called.

After almost an hour of waiting, a clerk came in and announced: “Number 153”

Nobody stirred, and I assumed someone was not paying attention.

“Number 153?” The voice cried out again in a slightly louder note, and again no one answered. Then an exasperated cry of “Number 153!” and I realized that I WAS 153!

After I answered the call, I was one of the jurors selected, however if I wasn’t listening or chose to ignore the call, I could have NOT been “Chosen.”

God’s call to you is exactly like being in that room full of people. It’s easy to get preoccupied in this room of life, but Jesus is calling your name. As He said, 'many are called' - but in order to respond you must listen and pay attention to hear His voice.

Friend, this is true for you too. God is calling your number right now! Your name has been selected for heaven and eternal life as you read this, and the question is:

WILL YOU ANSWER THE CALL?

There is a lot of talk these days about the importance of “Following The Science” as a means of finding 'truth' and determine the best way to make good decisions. As helpful as science may be, all people have a much better internal guide that always points to what ultimately is true, and that is our CONSCIENCE.

The Latin root of science is scientia which is Knowledge and 'Knowing,' and the prefix 'CON' means “with,” so conscience literally means for one to KNOW-WITH — and that ever present person is the still, quiet voice the Holy Spirit.

You see, as today’s scripture says, God writes on our heart what we need to know, and our conscience confirms this, but at this point once you know what is right, what will be your decision?

The later half of this verse gives us the answer.

Either you will follow this revelation of knowledge, or fight against it and ignore the Spirit’s direction and 'accuse and excuse' the truth you which deep-down you KNOW is RIGHT.

Friend, we ALL have that still small voice speaking to us every day in every circumstance of life. When you hear that voice, do not allow yourself to be mislead by so-called 'facts' or 'logic!' Instead, always turn to the RIGHT and follow your CONSCIENCE and it will NEVER lead you astray.
