Life is hard and it’s full of pain and what-not, but we take it cause there’s great stuff too. And we can do it cause we have friends - because we have each other.
SUFFERING CONT.D
A few days ago, I posted something which had mostly to SUFFERING as Christians;http://mckybarf60.wordpress.com/2013/08/11/christian-suffering/, as followers of Christ. In it I tried to establish what suffering is, its purposes in the believers life and…

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE TRULY BLESSED
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE TRULY BLESSED
Jacob had two wives : Racheal and Leah. Rachael was loved and Leah was; just endured – even to the point that when reference was made to the two women in genesis, Rachael was mentioned first before Leah, when its obvious she was the first wife. But note this :
From Rachael came: Joseph Saul Paul and was kept close, together with her children when Jacob went to meet his brother, Esau.

Never give up. The most quiet, yet loudest, and most tender of beauties of life is waiting right where you know where to find it. ☺️🌠 Passion is always right, and curiousity is never wrong. Go find it. The Universe waits eternally. 💗💖💕✨🌌🕉️🌃✨
You really will find your passion. Even if it’s not something typical, even if others don’t understand it. There’s something in the world calling to you, and when you find that joyful thing follow it! It’s so easy to tell ourselves we just don’t have a passion, but you do! It doesn’t have to be about work, or success. If it makes your heart light up, that is enough.

Never lose sight of your destination and do not fret over your pace. You'll get there eventually just keep going.

Imagine being this beautiful:

They are the sh*t, and they know it.

Back in the late ’60s, there was great strife in our country, and today the level of degree of division and disagreement is even greater that - and that to an even higher and disturbing degree.
With such a high and agitated degree of discord and division in our country, it is very disheartening to see how far we have all fallen from what our founding fathers conceived as a UNION of thirteen separate states to become “The UNITED States.” Their declaration and intention was for a people of all races and religions to live united together under ONE banner and ONE national identity.
Today that national identity is being challenged and threatened to be divided against itself. So what is the answer to this division? It is called faith, BOLD FAITH that despite what forces are working against our national unity that God is with us, and that through fervent prayer for our country we can come together again and rise above whatever corruption and evils that have been hidden by our leaders and for these evils to be revealed.
It isn’t enough to say “I have faith,” because faith is a CHOICE you make, and it takes hard work and perseverance to work it out and live and walk in it every moment of the day. Noah and his family persevered for 120 years when building the ark, Moses did before the Red Sea, Job persevered through his affliction, and Jesus did on the cross.
In this time of trial LET US PRAY with all our hearts for our country, our president, congress, and courts that God’s truth and justice prevail and we will once again be ONE Nation Under God.
Only through the Lamb of God can this be possible!
Hold on, walk and live in FAITH in GOD and PERSEVERE!

Character is not inherited or simply obtained by being around outstanding people. Instead, it is created by persevering through difficult problems - and overcoming them.
The Bible tells the story of people that despite circumstances, opposition, or persecution, persevered through situations that were seemingly impossible. Great characters of faith like Joseph, Moses, David - and most significantly Jesus - worked through difficulties beyond what most of us could not imagine. However, all of them eventually not only overcame but persevered to victory. Despite the challenges and suffering set before them, they persevered in the face of their severe trials and tribulations by putting into practical practice faith with persistence.
Because we live in a fallen world, problems will arise, and the unpredictably in this year of 2020 is a sobering example. The good news is that Isaiah 9:6 says that we have a great “Counselor” on our side to help us work through every obstacle and His Name is Jesus.
Perseverance takes practice performed with persistence. While we are all inundated by problems in this life, as you persist in overcoming problems that you have resolved, the better you will become at resolving them going forward, and by doing so, by default you will inherit CHARACTER.

Don’t look for me.
For I am buried under the sand that you deposited in the bottomless sea,
I suffocate everyday but I can’t scream whilst you’re not listening,
I’m trapped in the time that you created and when I think I can breathe, the air is forced out of me.
I could reach out my withering hand and have you pull me from the dark,
But I’d rather claw my way through the hot pit to which I have been cursed,
I’ll choke, blinded as I fight my way upward, forcing your prison away,
Instead of accepting your hand, as you planned me to do, tying me to your eternal winter,
When I could be greeted by Spring if I only rely on me.
So, don’t look for me.
For I’ll be gone by the time your boredom forces you to wonder,
All that will be left is a whisper by the shore,
But when you realise the mistakes you made, saturated with your unquenchable hate
I’ll be floating with the clouds on the warm Spring air,
And I’ll be so big and so far away that I’m untouchable,
And when you look at me from the sand below, all you might receive from me is a brief hello.
So please, don’t look for me.
I’ll make it on my own.
Sometimes it hurts to be at the bottom. But once you get to the top, you look back down with the fondest of memories. You may even wish you could go back and do it all again.

Okay that whole post is a wild ride, but I think an awesome story about success, which people think is linear, means not failing, but if that guy gave up and stopped trying because he failed, he'd have never won gold. Perseverance for the win!

despite staff's recent changes, we're... winning??????

You came about and as I recall,
The challenges were great, obstacles tall
The traps were laid so that you may fall,
But instead you rose above it all.
Catching up with these 3 posts cause I'm not going to give up on this challenge
Sinking, slipping Why do I always plop right down into what sucks me up and absorbs any remnant of joy? My bed is a monster, it eats me up every day It pulls me down like a magnet, I can’t resist it like iron can’t resist metal I’m sick of it, hate it, wish I could burn it Never need it again But why do I choose it over everything every time? When I’m driving I’m flying But the whole time I’m looking forward to the sweet, sweet relief of my bed I don’t need to try anymore, there’s nothing I need to give It’s a problem, a compulsion, an addiction I riddle my mind with tasks so the dependency is less important Who cares if you’re creating, if you’re producing? But I know it’s not normal to be horizontal more often than straight I need to toughen up, strengthen up, get a stronger back, thicker skin But I cozy up in my bed with the promise of another day Another time I try But it’s haunted, my bed My thoughts are never worse than when I’m in its sheets Coaxed into my personal hell I’m sick of it, sick of it forever It needs to be burned, exorcised From every nightmare, every ghost That plagues my thoughts and jeers at my passions I just want a reset. A point where I don’t have to feel. A place where I don’t have to exist. But it turns out not existing is painful and exhausting. I must keep existing, keep doing, all day, every day. I must keep moving. Faster and faster. I have to stay ahead.
The Light Eventually Shines Through: A Reminder of Resilience
Shaina Tranquilino
April 19, 2024

We often find ourselves facing challenges, obstacles, and moments of darkness. Whether it's personal struggles, setbacks in our careers, or global crises, there are times when it feels like the darkness may never lift. Yet, amidst the shadows, there's a timeless truth that serves as a guiding beacon: the light eventually shines through.
It's a simple yet profound concept that resonates deeply with the human experience. Just as dawn follows the darkest hour of the night, so too does hope emerge from despair. This principle is rooted in the resilience of the human spirit – our innate ability to persevere, adapt, and overcome adversity.
Consider the stories of individuals who have faced seemingly insurmountable odds only to emerge stronger on the other side. From historical figures like Nelson Mandela and Malala Yousafzai to everyday heroes in our own communities, there are countless examples of resilience in the face of adversity.
What sets these individuals apart is not the absence of challenges, but rather their unwavering belief in the possibility of a brighter tomorrow. They understand that setbacks are not permanent roadblocks, but rather opportunities for growth and transformation.
The journey toward the light is rarely linear. It's marked by twists and turns, ups and downs, moments of progress and moments of regression. Yet, through it all, there remains a flicker of hope – a beacon of light that guides us forward, even in our darkest moments.
But how do we cultivate this resilience in our own lives? How do we find the strength to persevere when the storms of life threaten to overwhelm us? The answer lies in mindset, community, and purpose.
First and foremost, it's essential to cultivate a mindset of resilience – to view challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. This requires reframing setbacks as temporary setbacks rather than permanent failures and focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
Secondly, surrounding ourselves with a supportive community can provide invaluable strength and encouragement during difficult times. Whether it's friends, family, or mentors, having people who believe in us and our ability to overcome challenges can make all the difference.
Finally, finding purpose and meaning in our struggles can give us the motivation to keep moving forward, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. By aligning our actions with our values and aspirations, we can tap into a deeper reservoir of resilience that sustains us through even the darkest of days.
In the end, the light eventually shines through not because the darkness is banished, but because we have the courage and resilience to face it head-on. It's a reminder that no matter how bleak the present moment may seem, there is always hope on the horizon – if only we have the faith to believe in it.
So, the next time you find yourself navigating through the shadows of life, remember that the light eventually shines through. Draw strength from the resilience of those who have come before you, lean on your community for support, and never lose sight of your purpose. And before long, you'll find yourself basking in the warm glow of a brighter tomorrow.
