Notes: Slight AU in that Dumbledore doesn't find the Gaunt ring at the beginning of 6th year, and then fully AU from about halfway through 6th year on. So naturally Harry and Ron were both eager to get to the Burrow for something warming, to sink into the cosiness and eat something that wasn’t pizza, and they’d discussed at length their hopes for Sunday lunch (‘God, I hope there’s good roasties.’ ‘I hope there’s treacle tart for afters - can you ask your mum if she will?’). 

Harry had had a night shift, and only a brief few hours nap listening to the wind batter the window before Ron was shaking him awake.
