We Had A Fusion Recently, One Of Our Persecutors With Our Spiritual Protector, And The Experience Is

We had a fusion recently, one of our persecutors with our spiritual protector, and the experience is still very fresh and new to us, but overall we see it as a *huge* and crucial step in our healing.

Our spiritual part was very soft spoken and whimsical in nature, while the persecutor was blunt, harsh and crude. As for them now, they are still figuring themself out, but the traits from previous stuck around in very interesting ways, and I'm looking forward to what this new part will bring to our system. In a way it seems the persecutors harsher qualities are better managed now, as we can now accept anger and negative emotions are a welcomed part of the human experience. I'm not sure how they feel about their past actions as a persecutor, but I will try to reach out and see if they are willing to explain in more detail!

If some persecutors could weigh in with your experiences, we’d love to hear from you! We have a persecutor turned protector but it would be great to get more perspectives. You will be listened to and we do not consider you to be evil or hopeless. If you are comfortable, we would love to hear your reasoning behind actions or whatever you’d like to share with us. Asks are open for you if you want to stay anonymous or reblogs are always an option! Thank you for your input

Something that I don't see talked about much when talking about struggles of having DID is just how much the amnesia can affect you.

For us it can be incredibly negatively impactful. I don't remember what happened yesterday, the day before, etc. I know I had important thoughts before I went to sleep last night but I didn't write them down so now I'll never know what they are. I'm always in this constant state of "fine" never bad, never good. Anytime I do slip beyond fine, I simply will forget anything.

In trying to recover it's especially hard because my therapist will ask us how things have been lately and we will just have a blank mind because we genuinely cannot remember anything. Every day can feel like groundhog day where we do the same thing every day and then forget it and do it all over again. We can forget everything about us, our interests, anything.

Our mind is quite literally a blackhole and it will suck up anything that hasn't been written down and logged somewhere. It's horrific and I'm so sick and tired of knowing something is wrong, there's something I'm missing, but I just can't remember.
