My villain origin story (...# whatever) will be people thinking there is some sort of prophecy about Astyanax killing Odysseus/Achaeans if he's left alive.

There is not any such thing in any actual source about Greek myth and the Trojan war.

The Horse and the Infant having Zeus use that to convince Odysseus is an Epic thing only.

(So please for the love of everything do not talk about some ~prophecy~ and then tag regular greek myth related tags because it doesn't apply to the actual Trojan war!)

There are correct answers

1. Kill Peris as a baby

2.Peris had to kill his beloved bull as his father told him too

3.If he had listened to his wife Oenone

4.If he lives (which is a shame) give the apple to Hera

There Are Correct Answers

the whole trojan war could have been avoided if paris just. ate the apple in one comically large bite. athena, hera, and aphrodite would have been stunned into silence.

homer really said, every victory on the battlefield is a grieving father at home. and this is not a reason for the war to stop. and this is not a reason to stop telling stories about war. but you become fully human at the moment you recognize the total humanity of your enemy because it is only when you can see that that you can comprehend the humanity of your own mortal self. and like. three thousand years later and the world has yet to top that
