We All Agree That The Original Script For Star Wars Episode IX Was Wayyyyy Better Than The Rise Of Skywalker,
We all agree that the original script for Star Wars Episode IX was wayyyyy better than The Rise of Skywalker, right?
I mean even the title is cooler... “Star Wars: Duel of the Fates” smh
A summary of what happened in the original script for those that haven’t read it:
Kylo went to Mustafar to a sith temple called Mortis
Kylo became a real Sith Lord, trained by Darth Plagueis’ master
Kylo’s face was mutilated and he had a permanent mask made of beskar (Mandalorian metal)
Rey had a double-bladed blue lightsaber and continued to learn from Luke’s force ghost
Luke’s force ghost haunted Kylo
Hux was the Chancellor of the First Order
Hux committed suicide with a purple-bladed lightsaber on Coruscant (possibly Mace Windu’s)
First Order base and most of movie located on Coruscant
Finn convinced First Order stormtroopers to join the resistance and give them something good to fight for
Chewie flew an X-wing in battle
Lando helped bring pirates and smugglers to join the fight for the resistance
Rey and Poe made out???
Rey killed the Knights of Ren
Kylo blinded Rey
It is revealed that Rey’s last name was Solona and Kylo and the Knights of Ren killed her parents
Rey lost to Kylo twice, but Leia convinced Kylo to give his life for Rey’s, him dying as Ben Solo
Medal ceremony: Finn, Poe, Rose, and Chewie get medals of honor
Ends with Rey teaching a new generation of Jedi

Does Obi-wan look sexy in Mandalorian armor? Absolutely. Wow. He could punch me in the face and I’d thank him.
But isn’t it kinda disrespectful??
In Star Wars: Rebels (2014-2018), Sabine said, “the armor I wear is 500 years old. I reforged it to my liking, but the battles, the history, the blood, all lives within it. And the same goes for every Mandalorian” in response to Ezra asking the Mandalorians if they could just make their armor out of something other than beskar.
In The Mandalorian (2019-), when Boba tells Din that he’s “here for the armor,” Din tells him “If you want my armor, you’ll have to peel it off my dead body.” You could excuse this as Din being a Child of the Watch, obsessive over Mandalorian traditions, but it seems like most Mandalorians are this protective over their armor.
So when Obi-wan steals that Mandalorian’s armor while he’s probably unconscious...isn’t it a bit...disrespectful, at the least?
Imagine him waking up and the armor is gone... Like, he probably cried.
I thought Jedi: Fallen Order was set in 14BBY, 5 years after Revenge of the Sith and Order 66? I haven’t played the game but I thought she was captured shortly after Order 66 as a padawan and was reconditioned to be an inquisitor.
Star Wars Rebels is set from 5BBY-0BBY, which is 9-14 years after Revenge of the Sith. That’s where we saw the Grand Inquisitor, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister, and Eighth Brother which have higher numbers than Trilla.
You make good points though and I enjoyed your feedback!
I saw a video today explaining how Barriss Offee could play a role in The Bad Batch show and as much as I’d love to find out what happened to her, I think it’s unlikely.
The video said something about Dave Filoni’s plan with her character. Apparently, he was originally going to have her die in TCW season 5 finale arc but decided that he wanted to do more with her character.
TBB is really the only other Star Wars project I can envision Barriss in, but how?
I don’t even think it’s realistic that she’d still be alive. From other episodes, we know that traitors to the republic were executed. Why wouldn’t she have been executed upon her confession?
The last time we see her, Palpatine tells the guards to “take her away,” but where and for what reason? She was a Jedi, so did the council decide her fate? Was she kept as a Jedi prisoner?
Was she imprisoned with the other Republic criminals? If so, why didn’t the Coruscant Guard clones kill her during Order 66? I don’t know how much of pre-Order 66 we’ll see in TBB.
Did Palpatine keep her alive for the sole purpose of making her an inquisitor after his plan was carried out? If he did, Vader would have overseen her training. It wouldn’t make much sense for Vader to let her live when he could so easily kill her for what she did to Ahsoka.
What number inquisitor would she have been? I assume the Grand Inquisitor was 1st and then Trilla is 2nd sister. Wouldnt she be the first one (or second if based on skill, as the grand inquisitor had more experience and helped train the others) if Palpatine kept her alive?
I personally think it’d be cool to see Barriss as an inquisitor, solely for the purpose of seeing her as Vader’s apprentice. Let‘s be honest, she was jealous of Ahsoka. Anakin cared for her, protected her, sacrificed lives and important missions for her, and helped her grow into an amazing person and Jedi. Luminara was very strict, had high expectations, and was pretty detached from Barriss, following the code to the letter. I’m sure Barriss wanted to have Anakin as a master more than anything. I’m convinced that this is why she framed Ahsoka and not someone else. Seeing her as Vader’s apprentice would be bittersweet, at least to me.
It’s...it‘s the same😪

Generals are considered high-ranking officers, I just wasn’t sure if she’d keep her rank after having Jacen and whatever else so I didn’t specifically use her rank of General.
Also, I think the Rebellion became the New Republic after their victory of destroying the Death Star II. Once they won, they weren’t rebelling anymore. They were trying to restore the Republic to what it once was, hence the New Republic.
:)
Apparently Kathleen Kennedy (ew) stated that The Mandalorian and its sister series (Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, and The Book of Boba Fett) are going to “intersect and culminate into a climactic story event.”
You know what that sounds like to me?
Din Djarin, Boba Fett, Bo-Katan Kryze and Koska Reeves (maybe), Fennec Shand, Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and Hera Syndulla (and Chopper, obviously) all fighting together to end Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Empire‘s remnants once and for all.
Obviously the ending won’t last for very long before the First Order is created, but still, can you just imagine so many powerful characters in one place.
The Mandalorian has already introduced several of these characters. Ahsoka will probably introduce live-action Sabine, Ezra, and Thrawn. Rangers of the New Republic will probably introduce live-action New Republic officer Hera and Chopper.
I’d predict that the final showdown will take place in either The Mandalorian or Rangers of the New Republic, but the latter makes the most sense. I have a feeling Rangers of the New Republic will be last in the release order and completely eradicating the Empire should be the New Republic’s task.
Guys I just remembered that Lux Bonteri exists and could quite possibly appear in The Bad Batch.
The last time we saw him was at Steela’s funeral where he told Ahsoka that he was going to represent Onderon in the Republic’s Senate.
With this in mind, he probably wouldn’t be thrilled to learn that the Empire is essentially going to have complete control over Onderon.
That’s basically the entire reason for the Onderon Rebellion during the Clone Wars. The Gerrera siblings and Lux didn’t want the Separatists to control their planet.
When Ahsoka uses Anakin’s Fulcrum frequency, Anakin and Obi-Wan immediately think it’s Saw Gerrera and that “the Siege of Onderon has taken a turn for the worse.”
So there’s a siege going on at the same time as the Empire’s formation. That sounds like a huge political mess, and who better to deal with it than Lux, right?
It seems like the Onderonian Rebellion is going to shift from whatever they were doing before (I think it was a Civil War) to fighting the Empire’s occupation of Onderon. Perhaps it’s a uniting cause to end the previous feud.
In The Bad Batch trailer, Saw Gerrera encouraged TBB to “adapt to survive” and not “die with the past.” We know that Saw disagrees with the Empire, and Lux is usually on the same page with Saw.
I’d love to see Lux doing his political business in The Bad Batch because I think his character is a bit misunderstood and underrated. He’d be a pretty unexpected character to feature, which might be a goal of Dave Filoni’s. I also want to see how Saw got put in that suit of his that he’s had since at least 14BBY. I think we might get to see why he has breathing problems and has to wear the suit in The Bad Batch.
I guess we’ll see in a couple weeks!
