This isn’t going to be a fun post to write, but I ask that every single one of you read this and spread the word of what’s about to be said.

A user on Deviantart by the name of Sonicfan1976 has been exhibiting extreme stalker behavior recently. For whatever reason, he has taken an interest in a close friend ( @slickpens ), having created an account only a week ago, followed her, favorited ALL of her artwork (and ONLY her artwork), as well as making several comments on her posts with clear intent of forming some kind of bizarre, accelerated relationship.

That, on it’s own, is very questionable behavior. However, what pushes it into the realm of entirely unacceptable is that he took the time to somehow dig up her normal social media accounts and use her IRL pics as references for commission requests, even trying to explain it away by calling her “an old high school friend”. THIS IS NOT FUCKING OKAY.

If you don’t understand how seriously fucked up this kind of behavior is, then you need to seek out mental help. This is the complete violation of a person’s privacy and safety.

This is the kind of thing that will get you thrown in jail, placed on a watch list, or at the very least, get a restraining order placed against you,all of which will make your life a living hell (rightfully so).

-If you have a Devianart account, block Sonicfan1976. -If he has asked you for requests or commissions, do not accept them. -If anyone exhibits this kind of behavior towards you or someone you know, report them immediately (you can do this on DA by filling out this form).

Hello everyone! :) I’ll get straight to the point… I HAVE LESS THAN 8 HOURS TO TRY AND REACH $1000 IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER! IF I DON’T, I’LL GET KICKED OUT OF MY APARTMENT BY THE END OF 2017!!! Since October, when all the stuff with my aunt in the hospital happened, my financial situation has been like a rollercoaster. I got an ultimatum to pay my house rent this month. If I don’t pay in time, I’ll get kicked out after the 1st If January. Due to the contract saying that I have to pay the rent before the 1st of every month 😣 (I have been paying late since October). If any of you can give me a hand in this while I’m trying to get back on my feet from my financial situation before the end of the month, I will be extremely grateful to you! Come guys we have less than thirty days to get one I say one more senator to stop the FCC from taking net neutrality away from everyone so please spread this like wildfire please guys see if your senator is helping to save net neutrality if not convince your senator to save net neutrality

Democrats are just one vote shy of restoring net neutrality

Senate Democrats are close to restoring Net Neutrality, but need one more Republican to join their cause.

I haven’t done an update on Net Neutrality in a while as I was trying to find a reasonable “next step”, especially since it’s been out of the “news cycle” for a bit. Well, I have some good news. 

According to the senator (minority leader Chuck Schumer) from New York, they now have a total of 50 votes for a Senate resolution of disapproval that would restore the Open Internet Order of 2015 and deliver a stiff rebuke to Ajit Pai and other Republican members of the FCC. It would also prevent the agency from passing a similar measure in the future, all but guaranteeing Net Neutrality is permanently preserved

What’s stopping them now? They need just ONE more Republican and they have less than 30 days to do it.

So goes the next actionable step. You have to contact your senators and get them to suppose the Congressional Review of “the Open Internet Order of 2015″. 

There are two ways to go about it. 

1) Via 5calls.org using this script - https://5calls.org/issue/fcc-net-neutrality-cra

2) Via https://resist.bot/ - you can write to Congress using this site or  Text RESIST to Resistbot on Telegram, Messenger, or to 50409 on SMS. By providing basic information, you can write your Senator to move forward.

Now, if you got a Democratic Senator, push them on to find that one Republican Senator. If you got a Republican Senator, encourage them to reconsider their stance on Net Neutrality. 

We just need ONE Republican Senator and we have less than 30 days to do so.
