A while back, I talked about net neutrality, the repeal and its negative effects, and how to fight against it. Today, December 14th, the vote went in and the FCC officially voted for its repeal. This is upsetting many people all over the Internet, but here’s the thing: we haven’t lost yet.
CONGRESS STILL NEEDS TO VOTE.
It’s been stated by a few congressmen and senators that the FCC’s move to repeal net neutrality is illegal. Many senators are planning to take the FCC to court and/or sue them. However, there are still many senators and representatives that support the repeal.
This is our chance to take back the Internet and to stop the FCC from destroying net neutrality. Now is the time to contact your representatives and senators and to ask them to consider what the repeal would do to the majority of the population – AKA, everyone who isn't a politician or a part of Congress or the Senate.
So, here are the do’s and don'ts of fighting for net neutrality.
DO call your senators and representatives. If you don’t know who they are, finding out is super easy. Ask “who are my representatives” on Google and use any of the websites that pop up. You should only need to put in your zip code and/or state. Find the phone number of your representative(s) and call them. Write a script beforehand for the best results, unless you’re good at improvising and know what you want to say. Be respectful, courteous, and formal.
DON'T sign petitions. This is the ABSOLUTE LAST THING YOU DO after you’ve called and emailed your senators and representatives. Petitions are largely ignored and even considered spam. If we’re going to win, we all need to be actively fighting. Petitions ARE NOT ENOUGH.
DO be firm in your demands. This does not mean send hate or death threats. It means that you have a clear tone and mean what you say/write. Demand that you, as an American citizen, have a constitutional right to freedom of speech and that the repeal will hinder that substantially. Imagine you’re that strict teacher/boss/friend that isn’t mean, but you know that they say what they mean and they mean what they say.
DON'T send death threats or hate. This will hurt us more than help us. Always be respectful.
After you’ve called your senators and representatives, email them. Make sure your writing is grammatically correct and gets your point across. This is why we have English classes, guys. Use what you’ve learned.
After you’ve emailed them, spread the word and relay the message that it’s not over yet and there’s still time to fight. Give them the necessary information to help them fight back.
After you’ve spread the word, sign petitions. This is the absolute last thing you do, if at all. It honestly isn’t even necessary.
We CAN STILL WIN. Stay positive.
If net neutrality is truly repealed by Congress, I will be posting one last message about net neutrality and a goodbye letter. If not, expect more art, fanfictions, theories, and typical nerd content. :)

This person has a point we need to send emails and letters and even call your representative and senators but when do that be calm about because showing the people that make the big decision it will tell show that we are upset and discouraged that the FCC is taking net neutrality away but we are not letting our hatred towards the FCC chairman and I know that you all hate this man guts but showing the higher ups that we are upset but civilized citizens they will probably go on our side so keep calling, emailing, and send letters

Come on guys if you live in one of the states that are black and not red then you need to get on the ball and call your representative and tell them to sue or fight to save net neutrality
if you live here in the states, spread this like wildfire. look up what the number is for your state’s attorney general.
Guys we need to fight harder than before we need to let everyone know in the usa that there internet is getting taken away everyone needs to call or email there representative and senators to tell them to save net neutrality
It’s scary – Bell, Cineplex, Shaw, and Rogers are trying to censor the internet and force the end of net neutrality in Canada. And worse, they’re trying to do it behind closed doors.
These 4 companies, led by Bell, are pushing to create an internet “blacklist” of certain websites that all internet service providers in Canada would legally have to block. They know this outrageous proposal would never pass, so first, they tried to sneak it into NAFTA negotiations – and now Bell is expected to introduce its proposal to Canada’s telecom regulator TOMORROW.
Critics are calling this move “unprecedented” and dangerous. If these companies get their way, this internet blacklist would have absolutely zero oversight in the courts. We need to stop this urgently.

The whole USA must know
Guys we have 18 states, Amazon and companies like Amazon sueing the FCC to help us in the fight to save net neutrality but we need to spread the word to every state like I said 18 states are sueing the FCC but we need all the help we can get check on my Tumblr I posted a blog about which states are fighting for net neutrality and if you are in one of states that is not fighting for net neutrality then you need to speak up and tell everyone that you know in your state we have to fight the FCC and Republicans the Republicans want net neutrality gone and you know because without net neutrality big time companies will get a lot more money than anyone and small business won't last they'll be forced to closed down there business and I fear if this goes all the way to our president I can't imagine what he will do and he is Republican to and a business man so guts please a begging and asking you a favor at the same to help me and others like me to save net neutrality and please check on my Tumblr or the internet to see if your state is fighting to save net neutrality to some it all up we just need to work as a big team to save our net neutrality

Come one guys you hear that we only need one senator to turn over the FCC planes to end net neutrality so look up where ever you live and see if your state senator is fighting to save net neutrality if your senator is not fighting for net neutrality send him letters, email him or even call to tell he or she that they need to fight to save net neutrality

I haven’t done an update on Net Neutrality in a while as I was trying to find a reasonable “next step”, especially since it’s been out of the “news cycle” for a bit. Well, I have some good news.
According to the senator (minority leader Chuck Schumer) from New York, they now have a total of 50 votes for a Senate resolution of disapproval that would restore the Open Internet Order of 2015 and deliver a stiff rebuke to Ajit Pai and other Republican members of the FCC. It would also prevent the agency from passing a similar measure in the future, all but guaranteeing Net Neutrality is permanently preserved
What’s stopping them now? They need just ONE more Republican and they have less than 30 days to do it.
So goes the next actionable step. You have to contact your senators and get them to suppose the Congressional Review of “the Open Internet Order of 2015″.
There are two ways to go about it.
1) Via 5calls.org using this script - https://5calls.org/issue/fcc-net-neutrality-cra
2) Via https://resist.bot/ - you can write to Congress using this site or Text RESIST to Resistbot on Telegram, Messenger, or to 50409 on SMS. By providing basic information, you can write your Senator to move forward.
Now, if you got a Democratic Senator, push them on to find that one Republican Senator. If you got a Republican Senator, encourage them to reconsider their stance on Net Neutrality.
We just need ONE Republican Senator and we have less than 30 days to do so.
Lets go guys we have a big chance to get our internet back spread this all over Tumblr and tell people like family friends even neighbor's the people have to know that our internet is getting taken away call your representative and senators and tell them to save net neutrality
