Me: I hate how old white dudes try to justify their racist or sexist beliefs with history. Like no. The reason men “did more stuff” is because of a few reasons. Kind of like how it is now, white men hade more power and privilege and therefore it was difficult for women to do anything and when they did, they didn’t always get credit. So not only did they have to fight to do the really cool thing they did, they have to fight to get the recognition they deserved and it didn’t always work out. Not only that but trans people and gay people and whoever else you want to discriminate against did exist. They were just silenced, killed, erased from history, or all three. And history isn’t there as an example for how great it was “back in the day”. One of the reasons we have history and we’re taught it is to learn from our mistakes. And even then history is whitewashed. Not to mention the privileged people. The one percent — the real minority group —

Trans men who get better pockets ✅

Trans women who get worse pockets ❌

The real reason I’m trans is so my jeans have actual pockets

I may be stupid but were you hernameslucy before?

I saw your new url and I was like ‘oh he found out he was a boy’ (I didn’t read your bio before or after following you) so basically im sorry for thinking you were a girl at first

Hey, thanks for the question. I was hernameslucy before, but that was in reference to Lockwood and Co. and the library scene. Now I’m kind of branching out from being just a fan blog.

And it’s okay that you thought I was a girl! Although, to clarify I’m not a girl or a boy. I’m nonbinary! My pronouns are he/him (just recently added that to my bio). I like being referred to in a masculine or gender neutral way (although I prefer masculine). So mister and sir is fine, but if someone were to ask, I’m a person and not a man.

Hope this helps. You’re definitely not stupid. I was wondering if I should mention the url change and just never did, so now your question helps me clear that up. So thanks again for asking and I hope you have a great day!
