Honestly if your anxiety is so bad that you can’t read like… something in the horror genre that I wrote (and tagged correctly) without tagging the post I made with “this literally made me have an anxiety attack i’m panicking omg my dereality is acting up” maybe you SHOULDN’T INTERACT WITH ME, because I’m a horror fan, I’m very open about being a horror fan, and I don’t like being guilt tripped over and over about a harmless piece of “creepy” writing I made!!

My terminally ill friend cannot eat solid food and needs help

My friend @nonbinarydyke, aka Moth, is terminally ill. Moth’s diagnoses includes dysautonomia, autoimmune conditions such as Lupus and Lyme disease, Vascular Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome, and more. These will eventually kill them.

Dysautonomia, also known as autonomic dysfunction, basically means that automatic functions like blood flow and organs do not work correctly. Autoimmune means their immune system is trying to destroy their own body. Vascular Ehler’s Danlos is a connective tissue disorder that physically affects joints, blood vessels, and organs. These conditions can have a huge number of consequences, which most recently includes not being able to keep down any solid food. Endoscopy and colonoscopies of their gut have shown no blockage, and biopsy results are on the way. Basically, their digestive organs are not functioning the way they should.

Gut issues like this can be survived, and they can be treated. Moth currently has to blend their food in a blender, and is struggling with nutrition, water, medicine, and more. This type of stuff is not rare by any means among people with these types of diagnoses. Massive improvement is possible, and there are so many new autonomic and autoimmune treatments over just these past few years that can help Moth live much more comfortably. But right now is pollen season, and inflammation makes everything worse.

Whether this winds up being a case of needing a feeding tube, regular IVs, specialized medicine, or anything else, it will take time. It can take weeks, months, or years under normal worldly circumstances to plan for specialists, tests, and potentially surgery. But because of the pandemic, doctors are quitting in huge numbers, more and more people are becoming chronically ill, and medical scheduling is extremely delayed in the United States.

There is no knowing how long it may take for them to get adequate care. And they need to survive until they can get that care. With your help, they absolutely can.

Moth has been forced to quit their job because they are too weak to even dress themselves. They need help with medical costs, getting specialized electrolyte tablets, powdered food, vitamins, soft food, medicine, mobility aids, and more.

i had fun making this, the fun ended when the colors in my computer didn't look the same as the ones in my phone, that's why it looks so gray :(

Since i was born i was absolutely unstoppable, i ran and jumped and played, i had energy to dance and fight, i went swimming every week for a year, the next 3 years i did artistic roller skating, then i practiced karate, my legs started to hurt and i couldn't run as many laps as my friends... two years later i was one of the best in my school's the volleyball team, my height and my strength were my best assets... then i couldn't jump as high, i felt like fainting mid-game.

In 2019 i was diagnosed with hyperlaxity, and then with elher danlos, i can't run for more than 10 seconds, i can't crouch and breathig hurts sometimes, if i stand up too fast I'll faint and if its too cold I'll fall asleep, all my joints pop when i move and there's not a moment when my body doesn't hurt, i never want to get out of bed.

People tell me im lazy, that i must endure cause everyone has pains sometimes, they tell me to stop complaining that my back hurts, that I'm weak for not being able to bear a little pain.

They don't understand that it hurts ALL day, EVERY day, that im complaining because right now it hurts more than a while ago.

They don't understand that if im playing its not because i was making up my pain a while ago, its because i can't just live sitting down, I'm playing and my back hurts, and my legs feel weak, and my breath is ragged and i feel like fainting, but I'm happy because i finally found the energy to play like i did years ago.

I'm not angry at the people who tell me i should just try harder, I am ENRAGED.

How DARE YOU tell ME that I'm not trying my hardest? that "it's not that terrible" you dont KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO NOT BE ABLE TO DO THE THINGS YOU LIKE, WATCHING WITH ENVIOUS EYES AS YOUR FRIENDS DO THINGS YOURE NOT EVEN ALOWED TO TRY "just in case", WISHING THAT YOU STILL WERE THAT LITTLE INVINCIBLE KID WHO RAN ALL DAY IN A T-SHIRT AND SHORTS NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT THE TEMPERATURE OR THEIR JOINTS.

the little kid who still believed when they told her she was strong, the little kid who didn't feel like a withering flower, like she was rotting, her body decaying with every passing day.

You don't know how it feels. Don't pretend to know how it feels.

Native Hawaiians cannot afford to live on our own land. Everyday tourism kills us.

We are fined for using our water. We are screamed at by tourists. We are stacked in concrete apartments the size of shoe boxes. Waiting lists for apartments are decades long. The government never provides aid. The money that belongs to us is wasted on half finished monorails and hotels. Tourist take pictures of us like we’re an attraction.

In 2018, the UN acknowledged the present day occupation of Hawai’i. And they did nothing.
