Loki falling for a Shy/Quiet Reader

(gender neutral Please!) Loki x Shy/Quiet reader that only talks to people that they fully trust. How would Loki react to hearing their voice for the first time? ♡

image

Despite living in Avengers tower and being an honorary member of the team, you kept to yourself as much as you possibly could.

In fact, only a few members of the team had actually heard you speak. Tony had managed to coax a few replies out of you.

Steve and Natasha remained the only ones in the tower you were really comfortable having conversations with.

You spent most of your spare time alone, reading or relaxing in your room. Despite how often Steve and Thor would ask you to join them when training, you’d decline, opting to wait until the training hall was empty so you could practice alone.

It’s not that you felt uncomfortable around the Avengers. You loved them like family and they adored you. But you just weren’t prepared to open yourself up to anyone.

Then Loki showed up.

He had been sent to spend some time on Earth under the watchful eye of Thor, and of course, he was staying in Avengers tower.

Loki wasn’t overly fond of the idea. He had little to no interest in the rest of the Avengers, but when he saw you sitting quietly in the corner of the common room, book open in your lap, he was intrigued.

He tried his best to start a conversation and introduce himself (not that he needed any introducing.) But you didn’t appear to show any interest in wanting anything to do with him.

At first, Loki assumed it was because you didn’t like him, but Thor was quick to assure him that wasn’t the case.

As Loki spent more time in the tower and saw you more and more, he became determined. He wanted to get to know you.

Your early attempts to brush him off and ignore him proved to be in vain. Loki was a persistent bastard when he wanted to be.

Fairly soon, you began to find his presence not all that irritating. You would even dare to go as far as saying you were fond of the trickster.

Once Loki realised this, he began hanging around you a lot more.

He gravitated towards you, sitting next to you during meetings or whilst you lounged in the common room.

You’d both sit together in comfortable silence, reading books or watching shows.

He particularly enjoys reading to you and watching as your eyes light up and features change as he tells the story.

He accompanied you on evening walks around the city.

Loki didn’t really mind what you both did as long as he got to enjoy your company.

He would be by your side during large gatherings or big events and, if you wanted him to, he voiced your opinions and ideas at meetings on your behalf.

Loki is incredibly observant and despite how reserved you are, he still picks up on the little things you do.

Despite you not speaking to him, Loki felt closer to you than anyone else in the tower.

It got to the point that Loki knew what you’re thinking and had no issue being your voice if others needed to hear it.

“Stark, Y/N would kindly appreciate it if you could shut the hell up.”

To say Loki is protective of you would be an understatement. Because of your shy nature, you’re hesitant to stand up for yourself, but now that you have Loki that’s not really an issue.

If someone insults you or puts you down, Loki will assure that they live to regret it.

And if some dick makes the mistake of catcalling you on the street? Oh, Loki will make them wish they were never born.

One particular evening, when you and Loki were both bingeing shows in your room, Loki made a comment under his breath about the plot that you couldn’t help but giggle over.

And Loki lit up like a light bulb. He swore he’d never heard a sweeter sound. It was that same day Loki realised that he was absolutely smitten with you.

He was beginning to catch glimpses of the huge personality that hid beneath your shy and quiet exterior. And he loved it.

He was honoured that you had begun to open yourself up to him, slowly but surely. It was not a matter he took lightly.

It hurts Loki to know that he has seen a whole new side to you, the side you hide away from everyone else.

So naturally he tries to build your confidence. This could range anywhere from random compliments to coaxing you into joining him in causing some mischief.

You also brought out his softer side.

Once, you fell asleep with your head against Loki’s shoulder and he refused to move until you woke up.

Nat took a photo.

He made you food and brought you tea, anything to see you smile. He even put up with the relentless teasing he received from Tony because of it.

All for you.

But, of course, Loki staying at Avengers tower didn’t always go down well with the others. Specifically Tony, who was known to have a knack for starting arguments.

After one particular fight, where Loki got into quite a serious tiff with the man of iron, he immediately sought you out for some comfort.

He needed to get everything off his chest and he knew you’d listen.

Loki paced infront of you, ranting about how frustrating it all was, and despite his unbothered expression and tone of voice, you knew beneath it Tony’s words had got to him.

Having finished his rant, he sighed and took a seat next to you, with one closing statement.

“I suppose I can’t blame him. What I did was unforgivable.”

There was a beat of silence.

“I forgive you.”

Loki’s head snapped up to look at you. You were smiling gently, amused by the disbelief in his eyes.

“I forgive you,” you repeated.

It was the first time he’d heard you speak and aside from the general shock and surprise of hearing your voice, he was completely in love with it. Your voice, your accent, the words you’d just said.

You were the first one to ever forgive Loki and he wasn’t sure how to process it.

He was completely stunned and more than a little emotional, though he tried and failed to hide it.

After a few moments of stunned silence he’d smile softly. “Then you would be the first.” His voice would be so delicate, barely above a whisper. “But thank you.”

He was honoured that you trusted him enough to speak around him, and he promised to prove to you that your trust was not misplaced.

From that moment on, you talked to Loki a lot. It’s started off pretty simple, you just talked about little, everyday things. But soon, you found yourself opening up to Loki and trusting him with things you hadn’t told many others.

He listened to you so attentively and values what you have to say. Sometimes whilst talking you catch him simply staring at you in admiration.

Though he was yet to fully gain their trust, the other Avengers held a certain amount of newfound respect for Loki, seeing how comfortable you’d grown around him.

You really made him feel at home at Avengers tower.

Despite how strong his feelings for you were, Loki had no idea how to tell you. However, Thor was quick to voice his own ideas. And for once, Loki listened to his brother.

Thor assured Loki that you felt the same. Thor considered you a close friend and even he had never seen you so carefree and happy around anyone. He knew that both you and Loki deserved to be happy.

He informed Loki that Tony had planned another one of his infamous parties, and through some questionable methods (warning Loki that if he hadn’t confessed by then, Thor would do it for him) he convinced Loki to tell you how he felt at the event.

And after what was quite possibly the longest week of Loki’s life, the night of the party arrived.

Loki was a nervous wreck.

His heart was almost beating out of his chest and he both loved and hated that you had that effect on him.

However, his nerves were quickly stomped out when his eyes fell on you amidst the crowded room.

When you made your way through the crowd to greet him, Loki couldn’t help but voice his thoughts.

“You look simply ravishing, darling.”

He smiled at how flustered the compliment rendered you.

Despite how uncomfortable you’d usually feel in such a large crowd, Loki made you feel like you were the only person in the room.

You spent every minute of the party together, talking, laughing. Loki even managed to coax you into dancing with him.

As things began to wind down for the night, Loki pulled you aside. You both found somewhere quiet, Loki admitting that there was something he needed to tell you.

The ominous statement left you feeling anxious, and Loki’s own nervous behavior didn’t do anything to calm you.

But the moment he began to speak, your fears dissipated.

To say Loki poured his heart out infront of you would be understating. He told you how you made him feel, how much he adored you, how glad he was to have earned your trust. You watched as the usually stoic god’s composure slipped through his fingers like sand and he became a rambling mess.

Tripping over words, stuttering and struggling to find the right thing to say, you decided to end Loki’s suffering.

Gathering up your courage, you leaned up as far as you could, placing a hand against the nape of Loki’s neck and pulling him down the rest of the way.

Your lips met, fitting together perfectly. It began gentle and reassuring, slowly building into something more passionate as your hands found Loki’s chest and his fell to rest on the small of your back, holding you close against him.

The kiss banished all of Loki’s fears. You definitely felt the same way.

Before things could become too heated, you pulled away, not wanting to start something you couldn’t finish in the corridor.

And for the first time, Loki was the one left speechless.

hallo:] could you maybe write a story where the reader is in the nether and we see the lava and we get a "jump in it feeling" but before we think about it too much techno comes? sorry if it's too suggestive or anything! have a nice dayy

Aaaaa this idea is just  ✨✨ I love it sm

Also dont worry about it being too suggestive! I practically live for the s p i c e

Hallo:] Could You Maybe Write A Story Where The Reader Is In The Nether And We See The Lava And We Get

It had been a while since you’ve traveled to the nether, it was never your strong suit. Technoblade however, visited that hell frequently, something you never understood. “I don’t get it, that place is downright awful! Why go there?” You questioned one morning, picking lazily at some turkey bacon your boyfriend had cooked. “I dunno. The stuff there is useful I guess, piglin trading and netherite and wither skulls an’ all that.” He said with a shrug, going on round three of scrambled eggs. “Would you like to go there with me today? Of course if you’re fine with it an’ all.” He added, looking up to you with hopeful eyes. You knew he hated it whenever he had to leave you for something important, so if he could take you with him, he’d prefer to. “I suppose” you said, perking up after thinking for a moment. “Perfect! Finish your food and we can get ready.” He said, washing his plate and climbing upstairs to go gear up. You followed soon after, climbing the ladder to your shared bedroom, where he was in nothing but some pajama pants that hung dangerously low on his hips. You must’ve turned bright red because he looked to you with a smirk. “Like whatch’a see?” “You wish” You retorted, too flustered to think of anything else to say. “oo-la-la, getting a little feisty today aren’t we?” he replied. God how you wish you could smack that shit-eating grin off his face, of course though, the only thing you did was roll your eyes and dress yourself in a simple t-shirt and jeans. While you were busy lacing up your combat boots, a sheepish “Hey.....a little help?” called you to you from the other side of the room. “What is it now?” You said in mock annoyance as you turned to him wresting with his corset. “What does it look like?” He said in not-mock-annoyance. “Wow..and I’m the feisty one” You snickered, working the laces of the corset between your nimble fingers. “Whatever...” He huffed.

You elected to stay silent as you continued working on the corset. Your slender fingers occasionally brushed against the the soft, flowing white fabric of his shirt, sending tingles up his spine. Your soft breath on his neck didn’t help calm the growing red tint in his face, either. Finally you finished off the lacing with a tie and a small bow, leaving a feather light kiss on his neck before ghosting your way up to his ear, nibbling on the shell before pulling away. Now bright red, Techno felt his jaw lock in place as he gave you a small nod of appreciation before climbing downstairs and pulling out both your guys’ armor. “What’s the matter? Just a few minutes ago you were getting all up in arms about a corset, and now you can barely say thank you.” You teased. “Don’t test me.” Technoblade quickly shot back as he tossed you your gear, “If you’d prefer it, I can go back to whining.” He said, opening the door and walking to the portal. “Oh please no, you’re sooooo annoying when you do that.” You groused as the purple particles swept you away and to the hellish landscape you now find yourself in. As you two traversed through lakes of sizzling hot lava and reaping hot spires of basalt, you both found yourself standing before the nether fortress Techno usually visits. “geeze...how often do you visit this place? Just the biomes themselves are a disaster waiting to happen, but a fortress? How have you not gotten yourself killed?!” “Well if you’d prefer, we can turn around and go back home empty handed.” Techno said, somewhat peevishly. Most of the walk was like this, with sharp, but light hearted remarks each other’s way (all in good fun of course). And you weren’t about to go back all the way through this hellscape again for nothing. “Fine...I’ll stay...but I’m not going in there.” You declared, pointing to the massive fortress, the size and appearance alone was enough to unnerve anyone, it was even worse because of your fear of the nether. Sighing, Techno devised a plan, “Fine...you can stay, but since you’re a nerd you get to stay right here-” He said, making a mark in the rusted crimson ground. “-and whatever you do, don’t leave.” He ordered. You nodded, knowing fully well he meant what he said. “Okay, I’ll only be a minute, stay here and don’t get hurt.” He said, using his clawed, calloused hand to ruffle your hair with ease before descending on the fortress. Once he left, you began to fully take in your surroundings. Through the haziness of the heat, you could make out vast landscapes of netherrack, all stretching from the highest ceiling to the lowest banks, lakes of lava rising and falling against the rock like breathing. There were bluffs jutting out from steep cliffsides, caves of netherquarts stretching back into the heart of the nether like arteries, biomes of blue and red and gray seen barely in the distance, obscured by haze and the steam rolling off the lava in waves. Lava.... You thought as you gazed out to the lava lake before you. You were standing somewhat close to the edge a cliff, it’s edge was steep and the plummet had to have been at least 20 feet into straight lava. Despite all better judgement and against the will of your conscious, you began to walk over to the edge, curiosity pricking the edges of your thoughts. Lava....what would happen if I jumped in? It was a stupid question, you would die of course, and painfully at that-- but the thought in the back of your mind lingered. You didn’t mean to think any of this of course, it was all your unconscious thoughts, but it just looked so interesting, you couldn’t stop yourself. There’s only one way to find out....you should jump in...that’d be funny I think. The thoughts repeated over and over as you shuffled closer to the edge until the tips of your feet hung over. You were so lost in your thoughts you could barely hear the sounds of feet dragging against the netherrack and the calling of your name as you lifted your leg to walk over the edge, and- “Y/N!!” Techno blared out, his impossibly strong arms wrapped around your entire body easily as the man

dragged you into a smothering hug from behind, his cape and body towered over you at nearly 7+ feet. You felt the hot, nearly sizzling heat of his armor pressed against your back and the weight of his broad head on top of yours, beads of sweat rolling down his face. He held onto you as if he never would again, his iron grip on you was nearly suffocating as you snapped back to reality. “Techno...? Whats going on....? You never give hugs this good....or tight...” You choked out, your oxygen slowly dwindling. Shock wracked through Techno’s body as he let go of you in a flash, fury blazing in his blood red eyes. “What’s going on?! WHAT’S GOING ON?!? Y/N YOU NEARLY FUCKING DIED IS WHAT’S GOING ON!” He bellowed, fear now replacing itself with rage. “What is fucking wrong with you?! I leave for not even half an hour and you nearly walk into a lava lake! A LAVA LAKE?! What the fuck were you thinking?! And then you ask me what’s going on!? Why don’t you tell me?!” You mind completely blanked as you tried to process this, “I uhhh....” You trailed off, taking in your surroundings once again, Techno was right, you were standing dangerously close to the edge of a cliff, everything was slowly clicking into place as your mind made sense of the last few minutes. “I completely blanked out....I was standing where you told me to and my mind wandered off....it’s like when you’re standing on top of a building and that little voice in the back of your mind tells you to jump off...I didn’t even realize it until you pulled me away....” You explained, you hung your head in shame and embarrassment, thinking about how much you must’ve scared Techno. I could’ve died...what was I thinking? Before you could utter a slur of apologies, Techno gave a long, frustrated sigh before pulling you into another big hug, claws clinging to your armor as he pressed his face into the side of your neck, “You’re a real piece of work...y’know that...? You scared me senseless....don’t you ever do that again...” He grumbled, almost pleadingly as he fought back the tears in his eyes. Although he’ll never admit it, he does get very emotionally worked up over the thought of loosing you. “Techno...I’m so sorry....” You said, melting into the hug and clinging to his back as he lifted you up, opting to carry you the rest of the way home. “Let’s get you back to the cabin...” he said with a sigh, still shaky from the experience, but he regained his level headed and aloof demeanor. “I never liked it here anyways.” he added.

⋆.**⋆.*:・゚ .: ⋆*・゚: .⋆ ☾ ⋆»»————- ★ ————-««⋆ ☽ ⋆.**⋆.*:・゚ .:⋆*・゚: .⋆*⋆.

They were ransacking your home.

Books thrown to the ground, chests left open, shelves cleared; they were looking for the compass. The compass Techno had given you should you ever lose track of him and need him immediately.

“To help you find your way back to me.”

Quackity stood a few paces in front of you, axe drawn and face contorted with anger, “Just tell us where the fucking compass is, Y/N. It’s better that way.”

You scoffed, “No, you’ll have to find it yourself if you want it so bad.”

You watched as Fundy began throwing your extra materials onto the ground, emptying out all your chests. Fear coursed through your veins, fear for Techno’s safety.

“You really aren’t gonna tell us, huh?”

“Never,” you spat.

“Guys! Look what I found,” Tubbo moved to the center of your home, in his hand, the compass.

The Butcher Army swarmed around Tubbo, Alex taking it from his hand and stepping out the door, Fundy following him. Tubbo turned to you, frowning.

“Y/N, I’m putting you under house arrest, for refusing to comply with presidential orders.”

He nodded at Ranboo, who had been standing in the corner the entire time. Ranboo moved closer to you, an ankle monitor in his hand. You stared at Tubbo, jaw clenched as you sat down and allowed Ranboo to bind you to your home. The two of them left, Ranboo hesitating a bit and you thought maybe he was on your side. But he looked over at you, shaking his head and walked out the door.

You paced around you home, worrying your bottom lip between your teeth as panic set in. Techno was a capable warrior, you’d seen him in battle before. Yet, this was four people against him.

You couldn’t lose him, not when you hadn’t told him how much you loved him.

The wait was excruciating. All you wanted was a sign that he was still alive.

“Techno, please be okay,” you muttered under your breath as you fiddled with the ends of your shirt.

As if hearing your pleas, you heard the rattle of chains outside and Quackity’s laughter to go along with it. Rushing outside, you stood on your balcony overlooking the center of New L’Manburg. You saw the giant cage waiting for Techno, the anvil held back by some rope.

It was a public execution. How heartless could they be?

And then you saw him. They were dragging him towards the stage. Techno was stripped of his armor, his weapons. You had never seen him look so weak and it shocked you to your core. Thick chains connected to metal cuffs wrapped around his wrists, and his head snapped up to look at you.

In that moment, you saw the fear, anger, and sadness in his eyes. You saw his gaze flicker down to the monitor around your ankle and he tugged away from Alex and Fundy.

“Y/N, WHAT’D THEY DO TO YOU?” Techno yelled, desperation evident in the way he continued to pull away from Alex and Fundy and towards you.

But you weren’t the one being sent to death. You shook your head, biting back tears as you looked over at the cage

They shoved Techno inside. Alex stood by Carl, and Tubbo took his stand at the podium. They announced his execution and your mouth went dry. You wanted to tear your eyes away, knowing you’ll have to watch his death, but you couldn't. Your knees grew shaky and the floor swayed underneath you.

Techno stood at the front of the cage, hands wrapped around the bars as he stared at you.

Alex pulled the lever.

You felt bile rise up your throat as everything seemed to move in slow motion. Then, Punz dropped down, throwing multiple potions against the ground. You leaned against the railing, watching as the Butcher Army fought against Punz. Amongst the chaos, you spotted a flash of green.

The anvil falls on Techno, he stumbles back. You watch in awe as it seems to go through him, his flesh splitting off his bones and you finally notice the Totem of Undying in his hand.

He’s not dead.

Techno jumps out the cage, ripping out of his chains and grabbing Carl. Armed with nothing more than a pickaxe, he gets on Carl and leaves, slowing down in front of your home. You were already at your doorstep.

“The monitor-”

Techno slams the pickaxe against your ankle monitor, breaking it off. You scramble onto Carl, wrapping your arms around his waist as you rest your forehead on his shoulder. Relief set into your muscles and you felt yourself go limp around Techno, your tears wetting his shirt.

“I thought I lost you.”

He stayed silent and you continued, “I couldn’t lose you, not before I tell you that I love you.”

Techno didn't respond, but he didn’t need to. You knew he felt the same from the way he brought his hand over yours, intertwining your fingers together.
