axe because that's what i fight with or sword if i'm in 1.8.9 for pvp but first slot always goes to the melee weapon unless i'm building then it'll usually be replaced by whatever block slot 9 is for food slot 8 is for water bucket slot 7 is for torches 2 is pickaxe and 3 is shovel 4 5 and 6 i try to keep empty when i can because i prefer having an open hand while running around but they get taken up by whatever when i pick shit up anyway yayyyy long rambling tags i got off the original point very quickly thank you for coming to my retedtalkblog mutuals
