It had been weeks since any new news. Y/N had been waiting for her brothers to send word once it was done but nothing yet. Impatiently, she decided to check for herself. 

The fall season had just begun if the trees changing colors and the wind blowing leaves were any indication. With her fall attire on: a long beige coat, cream turtleneck, black pants, and black stiletto boots, she was ready to go. 

Y/N closed her apartment door and stuffed the keys and her phone in the coat pockets. It was cold outside but it wasn’t unbearable…yet. 

She had texted him several times, well only thrice, but that was far too many according to her. She figured she’d get a head start but right before she could enter the beaten path that led to the woods, she saw him. He was wearing that signature smirk of his. 

“Leaving without me?” He asked, raising one brow. 

“You were taking too long. You didn’t respond,” Y/N replied as she kept on walking, not even slowing down for him. 

“You only texted twice.” He slightly jogged to keep up, as if he wasn’t capable of running circles around her. 

“Thrice.” 

“Ah..thrice.” He looked at her from the corner of his eye with a small smile. 

“Stop that. We need to go.” She could always feel him looking at her though despite what she’d say, it didn’t bother her.

tbh it always felt like klaus and hope were the only ones to REALLY acknowledge that marcel was a mikealson

elijah and kol were disgusting to him, freya just didn’t really care, and rebekah *clearly* didn’t see him as family considering she was fucking him.

hayley defended elijah literally killing him and even went as far to say that marcel wasn’t as important as hope is when klaus asked her what she would’ve said if elijah had done that to hope.

klaus never denied that marcel was his son and hope always saw him as her brother (subtext even shows that he’s her fav living mikaelson lol)

Elijah just hated him, for some reason far of my knowledge. They had him acting really aggresive and borderline racist towards Marcel, and Kol was just jealous of him but I can't really excuse his behavior considering what he did to the poor kid.

Freya clearly didn’t give a damn about him, for some reason (I don't even recall them having a single scene together), and Rebekah and Marcel relationship is so weird I'm not even gonna get into it. And Hayley, well, she just saw him as a friend, not family, which is ironic because neither of them got treated as a Mikaelson or family.

And as for Klaus, the reason I give to the way he acted with him is because as he said, despite loving him as his son because that's what Marcel is to him, he raised him to his image, and when he grew to a better man than him (his words, not mine) he got jealous. To be honest, I think their relationship is pretty fucked up, and I like to believe he loves Marcel as much as Hope, he just doesn't know how to show it.

And I love Marcel and Hope, her loving him more than any of her blood relatives is karma in it's finest 🙌

quick thoughts that I have at mind in night: it makes me fucking mad how the writers handled Marcel and Klaus relationship.

Klaus was practically his father, and both Marcel and Klaus (and even Elijah) said a thousands of times they saw each other as father and son, because that's what they are.

But yet they practically were at each others throat 24/7. The Mikaelson (my baby girls all of them, except Mikael and Esther, they can rot) treated him like some outsider but welcomed Hayley (also my baby girl) with open arms.

(Not exactly tho, but you get my point. I could go on a whole speech about how the Mikaelson only see people they share blood with as family)

And I completely adore Hope, but why was she more important to Klaus than Marcel??? It's pushing the whole "bio kid is more important and loved that the adopted one" down our throats.

Also, I'm so mad they didn’t even get a goodbye scene in season 5. Fucking Caroline, his one night stand did, but not his own son?

I'm aware it's all fault of Julie Pl*c disgusting racist ass, but oh well.
