Little different post from what I usually do I know. Probably the only Fantasy High related post I may ever make. Only reason why I’m even making this is because I started this in like august and I finally had the motivation to finish it.

Kelp bride

Hand drew each kelp piece (other than the farthest background as thats just a vine brush blurred) and I can tell you its honestly very fun. Kelp forests my beloved.

Its a busier piece but there was no way I was going to get rid of any of the kelp lmao.

The new seawing in the reef

Sunhunter waited silently in the sand. She hated being so… out in the open. Especially now. She jumped hearing a dragon rise from the water.

"Relax. Just me." Snapping turtle shook off a stray piece of seaweed. His spots gave a faint yellow flash in the moonlight. "If your here just to tell me that I'm in danger I know…" sunhunter frowned at the familiar look the seawing held.

"I'm here to offer you a way out actually." He trudged through the sand as it began to clump on his wet talons. He shook the sand off and opened his talon. Within it was an earring, a shiny pearl carved in the shape of a star. "Oh its beautiful… but how is jewelry supposed to help me?" Sunhunter took it into her talon to further examine.

"Argile made it so he could come with me into the deep palace. He doesn't really come into the ocean these days." He glanced toward the deep blue "it's enchanted. It'll turn you into a seawing as long as you wear it."

Sunhunter felt her scales shiver "Snapping turtle… I can't… all my visions... they come in water I don't want to imagine how awful it would be in the water…" she shook her head. "How do you know? You've never been in the ocean." He leaned forward "Sunhunter you don't really have a lot of options here. The skywings are after you… they can't go into the ocean."

Snapping turtle was right. The mercenaries and assassin's were getting more crafty. Even those against the skywings would give longing glances at her. No doubt gaging whether or not the bounty was worth it. "I..I dont know how to be a seawing.." she frowned "I don't know aquatic or how to swim or or-" "I'll teach you." Snapping turtle flashed a rare smile. "What about the talons? I still want to help the peace effort…" she looked at the earring. "Oh for moons sake forget the talons! This is your life in danger!" He exasperated "Sunhunter… please… I dont want to see you become some trophy for the skywings.." His eyes were weirdly desperate.

Sunhunter sighed and slipped the earring on. A deeply cold chill ran through her scales. She shut her eyes tightly as the world spun, she stumbled forward and met Snapping turtles chest. Past the pounding in her head she could hear him "Its alright… Argile struggled a bit as well…"

Her scales stopped tingling and the pounding headache faded. She felt snapping turtles wing on her back, brushing softly. She also felt her new gills, webbed toes, and flashy spots. She opened her eyes to find her new night vision. Also finding herself needing to look up toward snapping turtle "Oh making me shorter than you is unfair." Snapping turtle snorted "Welcome to being the short and stocky tribe."

Sunhunter stumbled steadying herself. She used to be shoulder heavy but now her weight was all over. She felt stronger despite being shorter. Snapping turtle stared and sunhunter rolled her eyes "I know I look stupid don't I.." "No.. I think you look good as a seawing. I like that the earring chose a mix of more saturated green-ish blue scales. Unique in pattern but not out of place for a seawing." He smirked "but I do miss your original look."

Sunhunters face scales felt faintly like her sandwing warm ones but it went away quickly. She smiled "I have a great hunger for fish now." "Beats those awful roasted tarantulas you used to eat." He stuck his tongue out. "You never tried them so don't start." Sunhunter raised her head, her shiny sea ready scales catching the moonlight. Watching the moons for a moment she turned back to snapping turtle "Well what should my new name be? Sunhunter isn't... seawing... like."

He glanced away "hm.. clam?" "Clam?" Sunhunter retracted "Are you saying I have a big mouth?" She glared. "No! I just- ugh ill get something else…" He rubbed his chin "I'm not good at names…"

Sunhunter sighed before flopping into the sand. A faint dizzy feeling hitting her like a wave "So when does the dizzness stop?"

Snapping turtled perked up as she curled into a C "Cove! Your new name should be cove." He smiled as sunhunter titled her head "Hm... I do like it... but it doesnt mean something dumb does it?"

"No no... A cove is just a small bay often secluded. The waters often have a greenish blue look." He nudged her with a wing "I can show you."

"Ok... but dont let me drown..." She steadied herself and headed toward the water

Snapping turtle chuckled "Of course."

Annoying how "rearranging your guts" implies sex. What if it was for medical malpractice instead? 🤨 What if it was literal and me saying that was admitting to my crimes of back alley medical misconduct by swapping kidneys with balls of nerve endings and wrapping small intestines around spinal cords? What if my "body count" referred to the number of victims willing participants? What if it isn't even a metaphor for sex too and I just did it 'cause it's kinda funny? What then, huh? 🤨🤨

OH BOY AN ASK ABOUT MY CHARACTERS??? I feel so honored

To answer this question I feel like I’m gonna have to explain a bit of the lore and world building of my au so bear with me for a sec if you would.

Also there will be some mentions of death so just a warning for that

Also this is kinda long

The twins were born on the island of Hollyhock, which is one of the so called “pure islands” of the archipelago. A pure island just means that it’s an island inhabited by mainly one tribe that keeps to the old traditions of said tribe, and Hollyhock is the “pure island” of the mudwings. They hatched with a rather small group of siblings, having only two younger siblings, Lilypad (or just Lily) and Bullhead. They knew who there parents were, but they all tended to keep to their own groups.

When they turned 7 they all moved to the island of Arca, known as the island of knowledge and trade. Many dragons travel to Arca because of its amount of schools and academy’s where you could be taught and learn about essentially anything, and you could also find, buy, and trade anything and everything here with the amount of merchants and traders that set up shop. It is also the island where they hold Kairos, a day that celebrates the day that the archipelago was discovered. The siblings loved this celebration and would go every year until the incident.

After a few months of living on the Arca, Lily had decided to split from the group, as she wanted to go out and explore other places and meet new dragons and not be stuck with the same dragons for the rest of her life. She did agree to meet up with them every Kairos though, just to catch up with them.

On their 4th year of living on Arca, when the sibs were all 11, Bullhead died in an incident. It was on the day of Kairos, when Bullhead and Cygnus were getting some nice brother bonding time and a huge bomb suddenly went off where they were. Bullhead had died in the explosion, and Cygnus now blames himself for not being able to save his little brother. They did not attend Kairos again after that.

From that point on Cyperus had started training how to fight to try and protect Cygnus, but she was usually gone for so long that Cygnus never really got the emotional support from his sister that he really needed. Cygnus had also started to study medicine and how to help others so that he could prevent anyone else from experiencing what he had. Cyperus also now treated her brother as more of a little sibling rather than her twin, and tried to take on more of a big wings role.

They lived on Arca for about 2 more years until they joined Fools Gold and became the crews boatswain and medic.

peril and whirlpool uh.. I’ve got nothing new to post. . .

I saw that you asked for ocs to draw, so I was doing an oc and since I haven't finished the design yet, I'll describe them for you! (She/They for the Oc!)

So, she is a Sand/Rain hybrid, but she's basically a sandwing with extra frills in their face (The same type as the one in the back) and in her chest (Headcanon thing for the Rain designs), she have dark yellowish green and blue eyes (She has partial heterochromia), and square-shaped pupils (Just like a goat, or horse, another HD thing). As for her scales, they have pale brown scales with green, pink and blue spots all around her body and she dosen't have any wings (Birth deffect). And for the accessories, you can add as many tissue accessories (Like shawls, cloaks, whatever you want) and she have to earrings on each of her ears. Oh! And, she has their tail barb

WE’RE BACK, BABY- I took a weekend break because I’m sick BUT I am working out the plot for a story with these goobers.

As I do, I’m making references. Here’s another!! Outback is the town clayworker, and she’s known all over the Kingdom of Sand for her pottery. It’s truly beautiful, and very therapeutic to make.

She usually moves using her tail to prop herself up so she doesn't drag on the ground, propelling with her front legs or using her wing edges as extra stability (AKA, as backup back legs). She does the wing thing less, it’s a bit of a strain to support her entire body with her shoulders.

When she's on flat, stable paths, she uses the wheelchair specifically designed for her by Titanoboa.

Originally I conceptualized that she’d almost exclusively use her wheelchair without moving around otherwise. Then I realized that a, it’d be too heavy to fly with, and b, those wheels would not work well in sand. They’re designed with tiny grooves, but not made to withstand the sandy environment to its fullest. Those are for traction.

Titanoboa offered her a set of prosthetics. Outback refused. She wants to know how to mobilize without any help in case anything goes wrong. As it often did under Burn.

ok so I was making a new Icewing oc and was struggling to name them when... BAM! It struck me like an enchanted broom. Caribou, an extremely creative and unique name. Surely there are no other Icewings named Caribou- it's a stroke of inventive genius.
