Wait but what if...

Every time a Dark Side shows up a Light Side just takes them under their wing.

“But I’m eEeviIil~...”

“Nope, your my best buddy now! Just deal with it.~”

Because Patton totally protected and loved the heck out of Virgil, and now Virgil totally favors him over the others (though he still loves the others of course).

And now Roman seems closer to Deceit than any of the others... (Here’s hoping they become dramatic theater nerd buds yo.)

So if that’s the case, then does that mean Logan’s next? What type of Dark Side could he be close too???

 (I’m so excited man please let this be true. Let’s Steven Universe friendship our way through everything lmao.)

* punches through the wall and strolls into the room *

I’ve flapjacking loved Virgil Sanders ever since he first appeared!

* flips a table so hard it crashes into another wall *

And now with the recent episode I accidentally absolutely adore Deceit!

* pulls up a chair from the wreckage and sits on it backwards *

So I’m officially adopting all of the Dark Sides right now. It doesn’t matter how many they are or who the hickity heck they are; they are now all my sons end of discussion.

TDP Theory/Speculation

Based on the two theories that A) Ezran is connected to the Earth primal and that B) each season will introduce a new character connected to a new primal source to join the team so they can open the key together and defeat the big bad.

I think the next book, book 3, might be Earth, that will explain Ezran's connection to the Earth primal while also exploring his new position as king.

That means we'll have three primal connectors, two humans(Ezran and Callum)and one elf(Rayla). So the next book, book 4, should introduce an elf connected to a new primal, right? And which elves were featured heavily in the first episode alongside the Moonshadow elves and got more screen time in season 2? The Sunfire elves!

So Book 4 might be Sun and add a Sunfire elf to the team.

This would be great for parallels/symbolism because that would make the two humans opposite primals (Sky & Earth) and the two elves opposite primals (Moon & Sun).

As for the other books I don't know yet and this is just heavy speculation and hopeful wishing on my part. But it's really fun to think about, right? ; D

TDP Theory/Speculation Part 2

In the last one I said I had no clue about the other books but I got to thinking and I might actually have some thoughts/ideas for the overall lineup and the primal magic source focus in each book. Basically this is a heavy expansion of my last post with a bunch more ideas I came up with/joined previous ones together. Way longer than the last one so more under the cut~~~

So, just a review of the two released so far:

Book 1- Moon- It introduced Rayla, our main connection to the Moon primal source on the team. Another major plot point, King Harrow's death, happened in part due to the elves power they received from the Moon. It also introduced Lujanne, who later talked about her connection to the Moon and the essence of Moon magic itself.

Book 2- Sky- It showed how Callum dealt with his lost of the primal stone, his source to connecting with the Sky primal. It introduced a pirate, Villads, who doesn't have a connection to the Sky primal source but does have a deep understanding and respect for it. Finally, it revealed Callum being one of the first humans capable of connecting to a primal source, through his achieved connection to the Sky.

And the two I briefly covered in the last post but want to expand upon:

Book 3- Earth- This one could reveal why Ezran has the ability to talk to animals. Which could be his connection to fauna through the Earth primal. It might also show him trying to hide this newly discovered connection because he's now the king of a human kingdom (and humans might get suspicious of him if he's connected to a primal source). At the same time, as Callum and Rayla head into Xadia, it could introduce the Earth elves as one of the first types of elves to help them on their journey(other theories speculate that the Earth and Ocean elves don't hate humans as much as the others). And by being around the Earth elves they could realize their similarities to Ezran and suspect his connection to the Earth Primal as well.

Book 4- Sun- This could go further in depth in the culture of the Sunfire elves, explain why they have been so close to the border and show their strong alliance with the Moonshadow elves more. It could hopefully also introduce one of the Sunfire warriors as a new edition to the main team. (Perhaps they hear rumors of the Earth elves helping out a human and go off on their own to investigate only to befriend the two/three of them???)

And the last two... Which are very heavy speculation and mostly just hopeful wishes:

Book 5- Ocean- The weakest one in my speculation line up and was basically put here through process of elimination. I have much more solid ideas for the rest of the books. The only thing I have so far for this one is that I hope it introduces an Ocean elf to add to the main team. (For the best parallels/symmetry I'm hoping for there to be three elf primal connectors and three human primal connectors. I have a human I really want for the other last primal source left, so again process of elimination here lol.)

Book 6- Stars- It would be super fitting for this primal source to be the one featured last amongst the six. This could go more in depth into Startouch elves and through that we could learn more about Aaravos(But maybe not everything about him just yet...). This could also introduce our last primal connector addition to the team, our human connected to the Stars! I'm hoping for one more human connector that isn't related to the princes so it could further prove that humans CAN connect to a primal source, they just need to be willing to actually try. (That could be explained away if people think it's just something in Callum and Ezran's bloodline, so this person would be the counter argument to that.) And who could this person be? Okay, hear me out but-

Claudia! She's been shown to have much more hope than her father when it comes to turning away from Dark magic (Choosing her brother over the mission, actually caring about the princes, etc.). And this way instead of her teaching Callum Dark magic, he could teach her how to connect to a primal source! (I choose Stars for her because I think it fits her overall aesthetic and disposition the most out of the six primal sources. Plus, wouldn't she look pretty with deep galaxy eyes instead of pitch black eyes?)

And finally the secret surprise last two!:

Book 7- Dark- With how much this magic has affected the story thus far it would kind of be unfair not to give it it's own book. This could reveal the true history of Dark magic (Perhaps the theory that it was Araavos who gifted it to humans?) and look into the first Dark mage(s). Our protagonists could finally learn all of the secrets that were kept, well, in the Dark!

Book 8- Light- While not technically having been introduced in the show's cannon yet, there has been a lot of speculation about this magic. After all, where there is Dark there must also be Light, right? This could have our group, after having gathered a connector to each primal source and learning all of the truths they need to face this one last danger on their journey, finally coming together to unlock Araavos' key! (And the theory that Light magic, the magic of harmony and working together, is what's inside the key could come into, well, the Light!)

Sanders Ships as Vines Part 4

More Sanders Sides ships as vines. Moxiety Edition.

Moxiety:

* while talking about Virgil’s life before joining the sides *

P- So tell me more.

V- Well, I kind of feel like my "therapist" is hitting on me?

P- And how does that make you feel?

V- Well, kinda good, actually.

P- * excited giggling *

Moxiety 2:

* Virgil appears in the shadows of Patton's room *

V- Hey, I had a bad dream. Can I sleep in your bed you tonight?

P- Sure, buddy! Why not?

V- Thanks, I'm Anxiety by the way.

P- Morality! Nice to meet you. Good night!

Moxiety 3:

* everyone is on their phones in the living room *

V- Yo Patt, is it still raining?

P- * notices the sky has cleared and there's a rainbow now * Wow, come check it out! * reaches for his hand *

V- * takes it and strolls outside with him *

L- * slow on the uptake * Are they...holding hands??

R- * shrugs * Yeah?

Moxiety 4:

V- Hey, can you hold this?

P- Sure thing! * puts hand out *

V- * puts his hand on his *

P- Wha-? Oh! * giggles happily before giving Virgil's hand a kiss *

V- * blushes brightly *

Royality/Roceit Headcanon/AU

So like how he conjured puppies for Patton, Roman starts conjuring other cute and fluffy creatures for him sometimes like bunnies and hamsters. But one day he sees Patton staring sadly at pictures of cats and is confused about it at first but then remembers that poor Pat has cat allergies. So he starts thinking up a solution because the creative side isn’t about to let a friend down and then Eureka! He finds the perfect compromise. So he excitedly bounces into the living room where Patton’s knitting or something and is all. “Pat! Pattycake! Pat a Pat Patt! I have a marvelous surprise for you!” 

“Gasp! I love surprises! Well, happy surprises...” And Roman just conjures either a Cornish Rex or a Devon Rex(allergy free cat breeds) and Patton just melts. “Awww, they look like an adorable little alien!”. And he then proceeds to carry that precious little one around in his hoodie all day.

So then he makes a habit of conjuring one for Pat whenever he’s wearing his hoodie regularly instead of on his shoulders. Just wills a little Rex into existence in his pocket like the charitable angel he is. But one day Pat’s walking around with a Rex and Roman in tow when Deceit pops in unexpectedly. At first he doesn't seem to notice them, probably searching for something he misplaced earlier, but then he spots something wiggling in Patton’ s stomach and he’s all ???What’s going on??? So he strides over and elegantly pokes him in the tummy. The Rex’s head pops up out of the pocket to see what’s disturbing it’s comfy Patton Time. 

“Patton, why do you not have what is definitely not a horrendous hobgoblin in your jacket?”

“Because he’s cute!!! And he’s a cat. I like cats!”

Which prompts Roman to get all smirky. “I could conjure up a lil pal for you too, Deci Quixote.”

“I am absolutely not interested!” He snaps before twirling his cape around and heading back to his room.

“Awww, too bad....Wait! Does that mean he does want one???”

“I don’t know, pops...What animal would he even want? A snake? Isn’t that a bit too obvious??”

“I don’t know either kiddo, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out! You always do.”

So then Roman spends the next several days trying to think of something to conjure up for Deceit until he remembers his two headed snake symbol and Eureka Again! And the next time he conjures a Rex for Patton he calls out for Deceit, who appears begrudgingly wondering who’s daring enough to disturb him. “Deceit! Glad you could make it. I have something for you as well.”

And Deceit’s just stunned. “What? Why? * clears throat * I mean, not like I’m particularly interested, or anything of the sort~...” 

But Roman just chuckles and dramatically pulls a cat from behind his back. “Here!”

“It’s...just another cat...I mean! Definitely not disappointing at all~...”

“Nuh uh uh, look closer!~” And he presents the cat’s feet which little toe beans he presses to prove his point. And it’s actually a polydactyl cat! (Cat’s with extra toes.) This time it’s Deceit’s turn to melt, who scoops up the little guy to fawn over him and appreciatively rub his cute little paws. Until he remembers where he exactly he is, of course, and proceeds to sputter a few cryptic one liners in a rather flustered manner before kidnapping the cat into his room.

“There’s been a catnapping!” Chuckles out a pleased Patton. 

Meanwhile, Roman is absolutely reeling. Oh no he’s cute what the flippity flap hippining hap. 

So then he starts conjuring different critters with little birth defects just to get reactions out of Deceit until Deceit has a whole collection of them in his room. And he refuses to let Roman unconjure them. Not that Roman minds all that much.
