TDP Theory/Speculation

Based on the two theories that A) Ezran is connected to the Earth primal and that B) each season will introduce a new character connected to a new primal source to join the team so they can open the key together and defeat the big bad.

I think the next book, book 3, might be Earth, that will explain Ezran's connection to the Earth primal while also exploring his new position as king.

That means we'll have three primal connectors, two humans(Ezran and Callum)and one elf(Rayla). So the next book, book 4, should introduce an elf connected to a new primal, right? And which elves were featured heavily in the first episode alongside the Moonshadow elves and got more screen time in season 2? The Sunfire elves!

So Book 4 might be Sun and add a Sunfire elf to the team.

This would be great for parallels/symbolism because that would make the two humans opposite primals (Sky & Earth) and the two elves opposite primals (Moon & Sun).

As for the other books I don't know yet and this is just heavy speculation and hopeful wishing on my part. But it's really fun to think about, right? ; D

Roceit 2:

R & D- * leaving a musical binge session *

R- Alright, see you later, my friend!

D- See you later, Ro. * mumbles * Love you~

R- Pardon?

D- Nothing! * mumbles again * Wanna be with you~

R- * takes off running *

D- Shoot! Failed again...

Roceit 3:

D- * strolling into the Commons area *

D- What's up, Lo?

L- Well, the ceiling, for one-

D- * ignores him * Heyyy, Roman~~~

D- * gets in his personal space * I missed you~

R- Woah, Deceit, what-

D- * leans in for a kiss *

R- Oh, okay, wait-

R- * tries to hold him back without pushing him too hard and hurting him *

Anxceit:

V & D- * watching the sunset at an inaginary ocean *

V- Love watching the waves.

D- I'm in love with you Virgil.

V- * takes off running *

D- * goes after him and jumps on him *

V- * incoherent screeching *

Anxceit 2:

V & D- * hanging out in Dee's room after Patton and Roman said they should get along more *

V- Hey, I'm hungry wanna go get-

V & D- Taco bell. Jinx! You owe me-

D- A kiss on the lips~

V- * tries to turn tail and run *

D- * swoops over to lock his room *

D- You're not going ANYWHERE, Virgil~~~

Anxceit 3:

V - * cat head rubs Logan's arm *

D- ???

P- Oh, he just does that with everyone he likes.

D- !

V- * comes over and cat head rubs Patton's chest *

D- * getting excited for his turn *

V- * turns to Dee * Oh. Hello, Deceit. * struts off towards Roman *

D- * proceeds to pout for the rest of the day *

Moceit:

P & D- * talking about Dee's good points to try and get the other sides to like him *

D- Yeah, so I was valedictorian~

P- Valedictorian!

D- And, I-

P- Got a monster cock!!

D- * spluttering * Wah, pAtToN!

P- Show them!!!

P- Go ahead, buddy.

D- * hissed whisper * When did you even SEE it?

P- What, your cockatrice Beatrix? Well, I was in your room the other day-

D- O-oh, you meant...oh. * sinks into the cushions in relief and embarrassment *

Moceit 2:

P & D- * talking about a cartoon series *

P- * tearing up a bit * It's just, after the series ended-

D- * gently and sensually takes his hand *

P- * awkward giggling * What- What are you doing?

D- What do you NEED me to do~~~

P- ???

Loceit:

D- * appears in Logan's room *

D- Hey Logan, knock knock.

L- Yes. You need something, Deceit?

D- N-no, I'm trying to tell you a joke...

L- Oh. Well, alright then.

D- Knock knock-

L- Just so you know, my door is always open.

D- * throws hands up in exasperation *

Loceit 2:

P & R- * trying to comfort Logan after a fight with Roman *

P- Sure, your friendship's going through a bit of a rough patch right now kiddo, but-

D- * trying to joke to get Lo to like him * All you can do is put rice in his oatmeal and when he dies it won't get traced back to you~

P- * doesn't know it's a joke * Okay, you can go to your room now...

DLAMP:

D- * is finally allowed in a video ideas meeting *

D- Okay, there's this scene where we all enter the shower naked-

L- Do you just want to see us naked in the shower?

D- * awkward laughing *

D- No~

DLAMP 2:

D- * Is in the Commons area scrapbooking with Patton *

D- * gets an idea and calls up Virgil *

D- * trying to hold a pair of scissors intimidatingly *

D- If you can find me, your father lives~

V, L, & R- * was walking into into the Commons *

V- Well, we can see you so-

D- * sinking with a blush into the mountains of paper *

D- No you can't!

TDP Theory/Speculation Part 2

In the last one I said I had no clue about the other books but I got to thinking and I might actually have some thoughts/ideas for the overall lineup and the primal magic source focus in each book. Basically this is a heavy expansion of my last post with a bunch more ideas I came up with/joined previous ones together. Way longer than the last one so more under the cut~~~

So, just a review of the two released so far:

Book 1- Moon- It introduced Rayla, our main connection to the Moon primal source on the team. Another major plot point, King Harrow's death, happened in part due to the elves power they received from the Moon. It also introduced Lujanne, who later talked about her connection to the Moon and the essence of Moon magic itself.

Book 2- Sky- It showed how Callum dealt with his lost of the primal stone, his source to connecting with the Sky primal. It introduced a pirate, Villads, who doesn't have a connection to the Sky primal source but does have a deep understanding and respect for it. Finally, it revealed Callum being one of the first humans capable of connecting to a primal source, through his achieved connection to the Sky.

And the two I briefly covered in the last post but want to expand upon:

Book 3- Earth- This one could reveal why Ezran has the ability to talk to animals. Which could be his connection to fauna through the Earth primal. It might also show him trying to hide this newly discovered connection because he's now the king of a human kingdom (and humans might get suspicious of him if he's connected to a primal source). At the same time, as Callum and Rayla head into Xadia, it could introduce the Earth elves as one of the first types of elves to help them on their journey(other theories speculate that the Earth and Ocean elves don't hate humans as much as the others). And by being around the Earth elves they could realize their similarities to Ezran and suspect his connection to the Earth Primal as well.

Book 4- Sun- This could go further in depth in the culture of the Sunfire elves, explain why they have been so close to the border and show their strong alliance with the Moonshadow elves more. It could hopefully also introduce one of the Sunfire warriors as a new edition to the main team. (Perhaps they hear rumors of the Earth elves helping out a human and go off on their own to investigate only to befriend the two/three of them???)

And the last two... Which are very heavy speculation and mostly just hopeful wishes:

Book 5- Ocean- The weakest one in my speculation line up and was basically put here through process of elimination. I have much more solid ideas for the rest of the books. The only thing I have so far for this one is that I hope it introduces an Ocean elf to add to the main team. (For the best parallels/symmetry I'm hoping for there to be three elf primal connectors and three human primal connectors. I have a human I really want for the other last primal source left, so again process of elimination here lol.)

Book 6- Stars- It would be super fitting for this primal source to be the one featured last amongst the six. This could go more in depth into Startouch elves and through that we could learn more about Aaravos(But maybe not everything about him just yet...). This could also introduce our last primal connector addition to the team, our human connected to the Stars! I'm hoping for one more human connector that isn't related to the princes so it could further prove that humans CAN connect to a primal source, they just need to be willing to actually try. (That could be explained away if people think it's just something in Callum and Ezran's bloodline, so this person would be the counter argument to that.) And who could this person be? Okay, hear me out but-

Claudia! She's been shown to have much more hope than her father when it comes to turning away from Dark magic (Choosing her brother over the mission, actually caring about the princes, etc.). And this way instead of her teaching Callum Dark magic, he could teach her how to connect to a primal source! (I choose Stars for her because I think it fits her overall aesthetic and disposition the most out of the six primal sources. Plus, wouldn't she look pretty with deep galaxy eyes instead of pitch black eyes?)

And finally the secret surprise last two!:

Book 7- Dark- With how much this magic has affected the story thus far it would kind of be unfair not to give it it's own book. This could reveal the true history of Dark magic (Perhaps the theory that it was Araavos who gifted it to humans?) and look into the first Dark mage(s). Our protagonists could finally learn all of the secrets that were kept, well, in the Dark!

Book 8- Light- While not technically having been introduced in the show's cannon yet, there has been a lot of speculation about this magic. After all, where there is Dark there must also be Light, right? This could have our group, after having gathered a connector to each primal source and learning all of the truths they need to face this one last danger on their journey, finally coming together to unlock Araavos' key! (And the theory that Light magic, the magic of harmony and working together, is what's inside the key could come into, well, the Light!)

Ooof, okay there we are. Hope ya'll like my weird wandering fangirl thoughts. I basically combined a bunch of theories I saw/read and loved along with my own personal hopes/headcanons for the series lmao. ^ ^ """

Wait but what if...

Every time a Dark Side shows up a Light Side just takes them under their wing.

“But I’m eEeviIil~...”

“Nope, your my best buddy now! Just deal with it.~”

Because Patton totally protected and loved the heck out of Virgil, and now Virgil totally favors him over the others (though he still loves the others of course).

And now Roman seems closer to Deceit than any of the others... (Here’s hoping they become dramatic theater nerd buds yo.)

So if that’s the case, then does that mean Logan’s next? What type of Dark Side could he be close too???

Ooof I’m a downright sucker for moxiety and mythology so this is perfect af.

Persephone!Patton who can be just as ferocious as he is precious. Every rose has their thorns after all and Pat is no exception. 

He loves adventuring the many realms, which is how he stumbled across Virgil while he was picking some aesthetically dark/poisonous flowers to spruce up his underworld a bit.

Instantly can tell this dreary, gloomy god is actually a big softie on the inside. He quickly becomes protective and fond of his newfound friend and keeps finding new ways to sneak into the underworld to visit him when his parents aren’t looking.

Hades!Virgil who did not sign up to be a major god or to have this bad of a rep. He’ s not always the bad guy, after all.

He tries to be as patient and understanding as he can be with good lost souls but it’s hard when they’re all constantly scared of him. Has absolutely no qualms obliterating the bad spirits however.

Came up to the surface for some plant friends but ended up with a nature god friend instead. Not that he’s complaining.

Hermes!Roman that has to constantly relay messages in between Patton and his parents now that he's spending so much time in the underworld.

Dislikes Virgil at first for "stealing Patton away from his parents and the rest of his people" but soon realizes the two are very much in love and becomes their first and number one supporter.

He tells Patton this, only to find out that they're not officially together yet. He then starts setting them up on as many dates as he can(some of which Patton is in on).

Cheren!Logan that often ferries Patton over to wherever Virgil is at when he comes down to visit him.

Each time he has to listen to Patton gush lovingly over his boss the entire trip. It's annoying, but he is pleased their king is finally making friends outside of the underworld.

Eventually becomes their second supporter, and is roped into gossiping over them and other gods with Roman whenever he comes down to deliver messages/packages/etc.

Prinxiety:

V- Do you know why I pulled you over?

R- Um, no-

V- * looks seductively from under his bangs* For stealing my heart~

R- Aw, Virge-

V- * throwing paperwork at him * That's A 200 DOLLAR FINE. Pay by mail or court date-

Prinxiety 2:

* in yet another argument about Disney movies *

V- * ready to fist fight * Hey buddy, you wanna go?!

R- Yeah, I wanna go, let's go out!

V- * taken aback * What, like on a date?

R- * grabs Virgil's hand and leads him away before he can double think things * Yeah, let's go on a date!

V- * bewildered * Do you want kids?

R- * waking up *

V- * lounging on the other side of his bed playing a game console * Mornin'.
