(and am going to mostly put under a readmore because i made most of this list while rereading the entire canon so it is very long! listen i just think sherlock holmes is the best character ever and i need to share my love for him–)

immediately upon being introduced to watson he grabs him by the sleeve, starts excitedly showing off his bloodstain testing experiment, and claps his hands “looking as delighted as a child with a new toy”. once he finishes, his eyes glitter and he puts his hand on his heart and bows “as if to some applauding crowd conjured up by his imagination”.

watson: “i object to rows because my nerves are shaken”

holmes: “do you include violin playing in your category of rows?” he asked, anxiously

he’s noted to be extraordinarily knowledgeable and zealous in his studies, and yet on the same page it’s stated that he doesn’t know the earth travels around the sun and once watson tells him about it he immediately decides to forget about it because it’s not relevant to his work. this is where the famous “brain attic” monologue comes in.

watson writes this list about him and then throws it into the fire in despair:

has a habit of laughing in a way that’s described as bursting into an “explosion” or “roar” of laughter

frequently does this at crime scenes:

enlists a gang of street orphans to help him on his cases, pays them for their work, and generally treats them as equals but also playfully talks to them like a general to his soldiers

let a criminal go free because it turned out the man he murdered was trying to force said criminal’s daughter into an unwanted marriage

was suddenly made to participate in the wedding of someone he was tracking for a case, came home and laughed about it for several minutes, exclaimed “well, really!”, laughed for several more minutes, and only then did he actually tell watson what happened

responds to the king of bohemia insulting irene adler and saying she’s not on his level by saying coldly: “from what i have seen of the lady, she seems indeed to be on a very different level to your majesty”, which is basically him saying “actually she’s way better than you, so fuck off”

refused to shake said king’s hand

built a pillow fort in a client’s house so he could think better

let a poor jewel thief go because he cried, because it was christmas and therefore it was the season of forgiveness, and because the case was really easy anyway so it’s not his fault if the police are too stupid to solve it themselves

always reassures clients that they can trust him and watson and speak freely around them

is willing to waive his fee for clients who can’t afford to pay him, because according to him his profession is its own reward

I have two sides these days

One Side : The rumours are fake. Just because Joe is not attending the Eras Tour doesn't mean they broke up. They literally have no other proof. As queen Swift said "Like my relationship for 6 years we've had to dodge weird rumours, tabloid stuff and we just ignore it"

Other Side: The rumours are true. That's why there was a change in the setlist. She also burned down the Lover house, and ofc all those articles about the break up that it was due to the differences in the personalities .

Nevertheless, I will ALWAYS support and love her to the moon and the Saturn no matter what.

I refuse to belive the rumors. It's April Fools a week late , that's what it is.

People on here are always like, “I don’t know why modern adaptations always make Sherlock Holmes an asshole. He is extremely polite and nice to everyone.” 

Meanwhile you turn to the second page of any Sherlock Holmes short story, and he’s going on like, “Watson, thank you for making it! You know you’re the only one I can trust I appreciate you so much <3. We’re going to go assist our bestie, Lestrade, because he’s so dumb he not only wouldn’t figure out my insights on his own - he wouldn’t even understand them if I didn’t have you there to translate. Man, he’s so out of it, I bet he wouldn’t even have deduced which side of you was facing the light while shaving, which is so totally obvious, because you look like a depressed slob who doesn’t own a mirror on one side but not the other. He’d hang an innocent man. Go, team!”

Now if you want to argue that’s he not an asshole for that; he’s just a little too honest and his filter is a little wonky and it’s probably a touch of autism, that’s fair. But this man is, like, northeast nice at best. He’s New Jersey nice. Helps you shovel your car out of the snow and lectures you while doing it nice.

what if after sherlock had bared the whole lifestory of john and asked him to move in with him, instead of being impressed, john actually gets offended af and lashes out on sherlock in full force. like how dare you treat an ex military doctor like that you arrogant sod. but later goes home and finds out that mr. perfect-cheekbones is actually a bloody genius detective which thrills him a bit. so the next day he goes to meet sherlock again who is mad at him too for the recent event but is secretly intrigued with this fine looking army doctor. hence they agree to live together at 221b with a set of thirty nine ground rules to stay out of each other’s business, each of them getting difficult to manage everytime the other breathes around their space like damn

enemies to lovers trope at its best.

OMGG I CONSIDER THIS CANON. THIS IS CANON

It would've been kinda cool if right after the snap and Tony's death (and instead of that kneeling hommage from the heros in the deleted scene), we would've had a black cut to the next scene -

"Move, move, move!", somebody shouts.

We're in a hospital. Someone's pushing a mobile bed. Tony is in it, with a respirator and all. They arrive in a surgery room.

"What do we have?", Christine Palmer asks.

"Brain trauma."

"Life functions critical", somebody says.

"He's going into cardiac arrest."

Someone uses a defibrillator on him.

"He's stable."

"What about the arm?"

"Brain first."

"I'm on it", a dark voice says. Christine looks up, and it's Strange. He's wearing a surgical mask and he's putting on surgical gloves.

She smiles.

Strange holds a hand up, and the surgeon assistant gives him the tool he needs.

Strange takes a breath. Now his eyes smile.

"Mr Stark. You're not going to die."

Credits roll.

I'm sorry, I know nothing about hospitals and science and surgeries but I just wanted to point out that it would've been cool that in the end, Tony is saved by a superhero, not through superpowers, but by using his former talents, that made him as much a hero as well. And I like that it was Strange, who's kind of responsible for Tony's death (by putting them on the path of that one scenario case), but decided, whatever outcome I saw, I'm going to do everything I can to fix it - I saw the end of the fight and I know how to fix it. My part is not done yet.

Anyway. That's my interpretation.
