Notes I took while re-reading Percy Jackson, Part 5; The Last Olympian
• Oh, boy, it's time already
• So, as someone who ships Percabeth (although, I am a multi-shipper), this is my opinion on the Perachel kiss. GOOD. FOR. HER. Like, what a queen. I see this as almost the exact same situation as Annabeth kissing Percy in the book beforethis one. He might die, so she took her chance.
• Plus, can you fault her for having a crush on Percy? Coming from someone who's not into boys, I can see why anyone would have feeling for this dude.
• Oh god, I forgot they straight up beat Beckendorf before he died. Jeeze. Smh Ethan, I expected better of you.
• As it is never explained, I personally like the theory that Alabaster was the one who saved the demigods from being blown up on the princess Andromeda. Because I love Alabaster.
• Is it just me or did Tyson get exta adorable in this book?
• Connor Stoll just falls out of a tree after seeing percy come out of the water. I firmly believe he qualifies for the Percy Jackson simp club.
• I forgot how much I enjoy the camp just being a camp. The war council chapter might be one of my favorites in the series. Sure, we got this kind of stuff in The hidden oracle, but it just wasn't the same without the og characters.
• Hi. I love Michael Yew. It may just be because of a really good fanfic I read about him. But I love him.
• I get why Nico "betrayed" Percy. It makes logical sense and he genuinely thought that his dad just wanted to talk. I do think Percy overreacted, like... a lot, but the kid was paranoid.
• Connor Stoll wanting to rob a candy store in the middle of a war is a whole ass mood
• Holy heck, I did not remember Kayla and Austin being mentioned all the way back in this book-
• "Don't I get a kiss for good luck." Smooth move and all, Percy, but of you don't do something soon everyone on the bridge will die.
• He may not have done it intentionally, but Percy Jackson straight up murdererd Michael Yew. Like... I legitimately can't imagine how truly guilty he must feel-
• "I swore to myself I ever found the spy who'd cost her boyfriend his life, I would give him to Mrs O'leary as a chew toy" Dramatic irony at it's finest, folks
• Every conversation between Percy and Ethan is just so passive-aggressive
• I believe without a doubt that Ethan knew exactly where Percy's Achilles heel was and was lying to Kronos's face because he was already questioning his loyalty at this point or because he wanted to repay Percy for that time he spared his life.
• The action it this book is so great. I'm pretty sure I went around a hundred pages before really stopping.
• The weather apparently changed when Hades showed up to show that he was more intimidating. I am sorry, but Demeter did that. He definitely had to talk her into it. "Listen, it would just be so much cooler!"
• Percy acknowledging Paul and Sally as his parents is just so sweet
• The beginning of chapter 19 gave me flashbacks to the ending of MoA
• I still think Thalia should have been a part of the final battle in the throne room. Luke acknowledging her as he's dying would have been nice.
• Ethan's death devastated me on a spiritual level.
• Rachel's telling Percy that he was not the hero is truly what saved them in the end.
• The "Did you love me?" line has always always bothered me to no end. Just Luke having feelings for Annabeth is so dumb in general. It makes it WAY HARDER to sympathize with him. I always just try to convince myself that he meant it in a brotherly way and then try not to think about it.
• Love the passive aggressive back and forth between Posidon and Zeus
• Percy is immediately like "I'm sure this has nothing to do with me!" When Rachel says the prophecy of 7. I only he knew...
• I think this is a good time to mention that I had the Homestuck soundtrack playing in the background throughout all the books (I did this on my first read as well)

Notes I took while re-reading Percy Jackson. Part 1: The Lighting Theif
• Immediately after Percy finds out about his moms "death" he just goes "Welp, guess I be pretend to be seventeen and join the army." Boy, you need help.
• I think it's interesting that Chiron himself goes to teach Percy at Yancy. Like, does he often fo this? And does he just leave Mr. D in charge when he does? The camp would be destroyed in just a couple of weeks!
• Gabe is quite a lot more abusive than I remembered and it terrifies me to think that if THIS is how he's treating Percy, how would he be treating Sally when he's not looking?!?! Anyway, stan Paul Blofis.
• People forget that Percy and Annabeth's actual first interaction we her shoving pudding in his mouth and then him immediately passing out again.
• Grover supremacy.
• One of the most fun things about re-reading the series is catching all the hints to future plot points. Especially the Thalia stuff. That's always great.
• Percy can immediately tell that Dionysus is an alcoholic because living with Gabe has made him able to pick up on people like that. I-
• As much of a dirtbag as Luke is, I am ashamed to admit that I have a bit of a soft spot for him ONLY because he was the first character I really lached on too and decided "sure, your my favorite now" before his betrayal. I now acknowledge that this was a mistake.
• HOW IS THERE ANY DOUBT ABOUT PERCY'S GODLY PARENTAGE! WHAT OTHER GOD IS KNOWN TO MANIPULATE WATER?!?!?
• Percy definitely had a crush on Luke.
• Oh, also, Percabeth rights.
• I think I would have disliked they're dynamic if it stayed like how it is in this book but because of they're development later on, everything in this book is just endearing
• Percy and Grover listening to Annabeth rambling about the gateway arch and not secretly ignoring her is king behavior
• I like Ares. As in, he's entertaining but I would absolutely beat the shit out of him if given the opportunity
• "You couldn't read my name tag correctly. Are you dyslexic?" "No, I'm dead." I love this book.
•Have I mentioned that Luke is a bastard man? Because Luke is a bastard man

Notes I took while re-reading Percy Jackson. Part 3: The Titans Curse
• I completely forgot the fact that Grover and Thalia slow-dance in the beginning
• Nothing, just me absolutely lighting up at the introduction of the di-Angelo siblings
• Percy us so utterly annoyed with Nicos questions while Nico is just absolutely starstruck is the funniest thing
• "I tried not to strangle Nico for that one." Don't worry Percy! You'll get to do it in The Last Olympian! (I'm so sorry)
• Gods, I could do a full essay about my thoughts of Bianca joining the hunters-
• I miss happy Nico :(
• Apparently there is some random background camper names Jason, and you don't know how much it threw me off when I first saw it
• Pepole forget that, because he held the burden of the sky, Luke supposedly also has a gray streek in his hair.
• I am having an urge to just write a character essay about Bianca. The way she was treated with the hunters and her decisions throughout the book can be interpreted in so many ways.
• Okay, that scene with Nico and Percy spying on Zoe and Bianca, and ESPECIALLY the scene after where Percy promises Nico that he'll keep Bianca safe is just, uh, feelings.
• Meeting Apollo after reading trials of Apollo is a weird experience because by the end of that seris he's almost a different person. But I missed his haikus, so I'm glad they're back.
• Also, "I'm incognito, call me Fred." Is just a great line.
• "For a moment, she looked a little bit like Annabeth." YOU DON'T SAY-
• I remember the first time I read Bianca's death. It was written in such a way that you wouldn't really know whether she was dead or not until the next book. I mean, no body and the prophecy specifically saying "Lost" and not dead.
• Dam.
• "Hello! We're about to die!" And then everything with Dionysus right afterwards is great! Dionysus is just a fun character (god) in general.
• Thalia casually going "Huh, looks like we'll be facing an entire army. No biggy!"
• Zoë needs more appreciation. Gods, her final words really just.... everyone in the fandom knows them already, but with the right music, they are impact full as hell
• I think the chapter title "I get a new enemy for christmas," is one of the funniest ones because it sounds so ominous and then the enemy in question is just and angsty 10 year old.
• I may have teard up a little bit at the "Where's my sister" scene
