Okay, so maybe Deuce couldn't say that he was the best when it came to showing his appreciation for you. He tried though, he really did.

It had seemed like a good idea to get flowers for you - it's what everyone did in the movies, wasn't it? But standing on the doorstep to Ramshackle now, he wasn't quite sure. What if you didn't like them? What if you were allergic?

He wasn't able to get the chance to back out, though, when the door had suddenly swung open and you were right there. Able to see his obvious embarrassment even as he tried to hide the flowers behind his back like they wouldn't stick out.

After a moment of awkward silence, and avoiding your gaze, you broke the silence and giggled.

That was all it took for him to turn red and start rambling about how it wasn't what it looked like, how he was just about to leave, how the whole thing had been a stupid idea - anything to excuse himself.

You dragged him in before he could say anything else, all smiles as you wrapped your arms around him. "This is so cute! I love these - how did you know?"

"Well- uh, I didn't, but I thought maybe? But then I wasn't sure if you'd like them and, um..." Deuce trails off from there, getting wrapped up in hugging you and letting himself finally relax a bit. "...I'm glad you like them."

You hum your agreement, and before he can say anything else, he's getting a kiss on the cheek and tensing up all over again as his face burned.

“How did you even get sick?” Azul sighs, watching the panther in front of him act an absolute fool as he mumbles something about chasing after his cub in the rain. Grim causing more trouble, surely. “You look distasteful. Come here.”

It’s with a heavy knit in his brow that the octo-mer wraps Yuujirou in a blanket, huffing and puffing the whole way, nothing but worried scoldings leaving his mouth.

It’s funny, the panther thinks, how Azul tries so hard to cover up his care with nagging. It's not effective in the least, so it's really just entertaining to watch him splutter over himself and become increasingly less composed.

“Now, go lay right there,” He references the couch in his office, trying futilely to will his cheeks not to go red as Yuujirou starts purring.

“And I’ll keep taking care of you. You’re lucky you have the Tweels wrapped around your finger, truly… Otherwise I wouldn't even consider this, you know. So troublesome...”

“Mmph.” That was a lie, but Yuuji sounds his agreement anyways.

He collapses onto the couch without a care in the world, blearily looking back at the octopus, smiling softly when he saw how red he was. “Thanks, ‘Zul… 's sweet.”

That’s all it takes for Azul to practically combust, sentences starting and stopping all at once before he ultimately decides to hurriedly wave the hybrid off with a sound reminiscent to a dying whale as he ran off to go find the Tweels and get their assistance with taking care of Yuujirou.

It seemed he was even more forthcoming when sick, unfortunately for Azul. Hopefully the eels would take over caring for him until Azul was functioning again.

"I was made to love you."

Malleus' gaze is intense, piercing right through you, and you can't help the slight frown that shows at his words.

"What... do you mean by that?"

He sighs, as if he expected it to be obvious, and he steps into your space even when you move back. "My dear, dear child of man... How could you not know?"

"I mean that all of my world, turns only for you. You are the one that I wake for, and the one I wish to lay with as the moon hangs in the sky. There is nothing that I would not do for your affections, and nothing I would not do if you simply gave the word. You, dearest, are all that my life revolves around."

When you flush and start to protest such sweet words being thrown your way, he only shakes his head, and you're forced to share even more of your personal space when Malleus leans in, staring you straight in the eye with a look you haven't seen from him before.

It's... distracting, to say the least.

The fire in his eyes looks like it would consume you, if you gave him the chance. Like if you weren't careful, you could just as easily be trapped in this mad love. If you just succumbed to him, even once.

"Do you understand, my love?"

"You are all that I am, and just as easily, I would love to become all you are... to become irrevocably in love, tied together as one whole and strangers to the world beyond each other. Is it not a tempting thought?"

"Are you really so oblivious?"

It's with a scoff and a glower that Leona regards you, rolling his eyes when he sees no change in your doe-eyed expression.

"Seriously? Stupid herbivore..." He sighs, even as he softens slightly, roughly pushing your head down as he ruffles your hair. "You've got no business looking to anyone else when you have me."

"Huh?" You question, oblivious to what the lion was talking about. "What do you mean, looking to anyone else?"

"I mean, quit gettin' other guys to help you out. Just ask me."

If you didn't know any better, you'd think Leona to be blushing, and you smile a little. Of course he would be the kind to get jealous - you don't know how you didn't guess it.

It wasn't like you had done much - just asked Ruggie to help you out with an assignment dealing with linguistics as you knew it was his forte. You hadn't thought anything of it, but apparently Leona saw it as a statement of some kind.

"Awe, is the kitty getting jealous?"

"Tch." You don't expect him to huff and pull you in close, clinging onto you with a scowl. "And what about it? You're my herbivore. Ain't no reason for you to put your attention on anybody else."

You can feel him smirk against you when you don't say anything else, and you know that he thinks this means he won this little argument.
