4am In Seoul
4am in Seoul
A puff of figid air leaves your lips, a smokey haze seen. The yellow streetlamps illuminating the fluffy snow as you walk through the frozen park.
Uptown a music producer has just finished his work for the day. Saving his files and powering off his computer before streching his tense muscles and going to bed.
Next door a buff man is waking up and making his daily protien shake. Ready for the gym he slips on his trainers and grabs his headphones, slipping out the door.
Down the street a chef starts prepping for the early morning rush. Hurriedly chopping fruit and just barely remembering to feed his cats before flipping the cafe sign to open.
In a cozy studio apartment a block over an artist finally takes a break from his latest masterpiece. Oil paint slathered over a canvas starts to dry as he sips coffee, staining the mug with his paint covered fingers.
Downstairs a streamer is yelling obscenities at his screen while he dies in the layest horror game. His chat laughing with him as he settles down and tries again, stating that he'll get through it this time.
Across the park there is a man checking on the dogs in his parents rescue. He spends the early morning caring for the new puppies that we brought in late last night with a tired smile, running his fingers through his tangled hair.
In the empty library in the university near the gym there is a student asleep at his desk, sprawled over his notes. He stirs briefly to rub the sleep from his fox-like eyes and starts to pack up some of his work before going back to rest.
Pacing around his room there is an anxious student preparing for an oral exam. He goes over his words over and over, speaking faster each time, sounding more like a song each time he picks up the pace.

Bloody noses and iced espressos
Tw: blood and injuries

The gym teacher's whistle rang through the air as the volleyball hit the floor.
"Point wolves" he announces before noticing you dip down into a squat and hold your nose, hair falling into your eyes as blood drips through your fingers onto the polished wood floor.
"Are you alright y/n?" He climbs down from the referee stand at the net to check on you.
"Umm… I think my nose is bleeding." You laugh awkwardly, avoiding getting more blood on your white shoes while your teammates guide you to the bleachers, arguing about who has to sit out with you while the other team is left abandoned with the offending volleyball.
"Do you think they're ok hyung?" Jeongin questions their captain, the one who hit the ball into your face.
"Do they look ok innie? Channie hyung probably broke the poor kid's nose." Seungmin speaks, poorly hiding his laughter as their concerned friend rushes over to check on you.
"Oh my gosh are you ok? I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit your face." The frantic boy is cut off by your exasperated gym teacher.
"Go get the poor kid an ice pack instead of bothering them with pointless questions. You can flirt with them later when they aren't bleeding out all over the gym." He runs out of the gym to the nurse as his teammates group together and walk over to see if you're alright. Their hushed whispers reach your ears as your friends worry over you.
"I'm still worried about them hyung. What if chan hyung really broke their nose?" Felix whispers to Minho, trying not to draw extra attention to himself as he tugs at his blonde strands of hair.
"Y/n are you even listening to me?" Your friend Mae waves her hand in front of your face, drawing your attention away from the group of boys approaching and back to your concerned teammates.
"Sorry guys, I kinda zoned out. What did you say?" Mae rolls her eyes at you fondly
"Well now that your head is out of the clouds and back on earth, our teacher wants to check and make sure that you didn't get a concussion" she speaks to you slowly, making sure you understand what she's saying.
"Concussion? Did I really hit them that hard?" The boy reappears with an ice pack from the nurse and goes to hand it to you while your teacher checks you over.
"Did I really hit them that hard?" Mae mocks him, earning a smack from you.
"Stop it maemae. He didn't mean to hit me in the face. It was just an accident." She huffs in response to your defense and mumbles.
"It was a pretty bloody accident to make." She remarks as you take the ice pack from the boy with a quiet 'thank you'.
"I really am sorry about the whole 'hitting you in the face' thing. It was an honest mistake" he sits down next to you, looking down at the floor, cringing at your bloody sneakers. You follow his line of sight to your shoes.
"Don't worry about my shoes." you speak. "They're old anyways."
"I still feel really bad about it though. Is there some way I can make it up to you? Coffee maybe?" The boy next to you fidgets, uncomfortable with the pain he put you in, even though you both know it was an accident. The bell rings.
"Well my nose stopped bleeding" you speak, pulling the tissue and ice pack away from your face to look him in the eyes as he walks you to your next class." So… how about that coffee date you offered pretty boy? He blushes, ears flushing red as he agrees.
"Good. Maybe on our date you can tell me your name, pretty boy?" You look up at him as you stop in front of the doorway to your last class for the day and he finally speaks.
"It's chan."
Morning rain and maroon hoodies

Worst Wednesday ever. First, you woke up late, rushing to get ready and almost forgetting your lunch. Then you run in the rain to the bus stop only to find out that you missed the bus. However you still have to go to school so you start your hike to school. Lucky one of your friends, Chan, was also running late and drove past, stopping to pick you up.
"Y/n it's raining outside! Why are you walking to school in the rain? You could catch a cold." He turns up the car's heater and digs in his gym bag for a towel. He hands one to you and you gratefully take it, drying off your drenched hair and lamenting about your now wet shirt. You both reach the school and rush inside to avoid looking like a drowned rat, meeting your friends at Minho's locker.
"Woah Y/n you're soaked! Did you walk here?" Minho spots you first, standing with Seungmin and Changbin, holding a bag of rice rolls.
"Ah, I missed the bus. I started to walk but Channie was running late and was able to give me a ride." You laugh awkwardly and try to wring out your shirt.
"You should get changed before you catch a cold Y/n. I think I have an extra gym shirt you can borrow." Changbin cuts in, digging through his bag before being interrupted by Seungmin.
"No need hyung. They can just wear my hoodie instead." He turns to a confused Minho and holds out his bag expectantly. Then he pulls his hoodie over his head, the action causing his shirt to ride up and show a sliver of his stomach before he fixes his shirt. You tune out what the boys are saying as you trace his features. His dirty shoes, baggy cargo pants, a worn oversized graphic shirt. His hair ruffled from pulling off the very hoodie that he was holding out to you. Meeting his eyes you can tell that he's pleading for you to take it.
" Just give me a minute guys." You huff and grab the sweatshirt, heading to the nearest bathroom to change. Pulling off your wet shirt you let the cozy maroon fabric of his hoodie engulf you. His cologne mixes with the scent of your shampoo, melting together to create a smokey floral aroma. The fabric settles over your cold body, ending at your thighs with the sleeves pushed up so you can use your hands. Grabbing your discarded wet shirt from the floor, you exit the bathroom to meet your friends again, this time at your own locker. Jeongin has arrived and joined the group since you last left, snacking on some of the rolls Minho brought for everyone. Between holding your wet shirt and struggling to keep your bag on your shoulder you are having trouble opening your locker. So, with a gentle hand to your shoulder Seungmin moves you to the side with a quiet 'I got this. Let me help.' He unlocks your locker with practiced ease and unloads the various books crammed into the torn tote bag. Jeongin hands you a plastic bag to slip your shirt in. You are left standing in between Seungmin, who has stolen your bag, and Minho, who is shoving food into your hands with a stern 'Eat.' You begrudgingly start to eat your rice roll and turn your attention back to Seungmin, who has since finished swapping out your books and is now standing at your side with an arm wrapped around your shoulders. You offer him a bite of your rice roll which he accepts, leaning down to eat out of your hands, nose brushing against your hand.
"I would've held it up for you, ya know." You huff, taking another bite of the savory roll. The group begins their daily trek to class, splitting off as they head to their individual classes. Seungmin walks with you to class, comfortable silence washing over the two of you. The silence only breaks when you reach his first class of the day.
"I'll see you at lunch Minnie." you state, already starting to walk to your own class.
" I forgot to tell you something earlier." He calls out to you, you turn back towards him confused.
"What's up?" Tilting your head you look up at him, wondering what's making him so fidgety. He messes with his bag strap as he looks down at you fondly.
" You look good in my clothes."
Jane Austin and Impromptu Coffee Dates

Friday. 3 pm. You rush inside the library as the rain starts to fall harder. You greet the librarian at the front desk with a quiet 'hello' and start your trek to the back left corner of the library, the romance section. Filled with the works of Jane Austin and Nicholas Sparks, you are often found curled up in a worn armchair with a book in your hand and coffee at your side.
Upon reaching your quiet corner you immediately notice another person in your usual seat. He was tall,at least you assumed by the way he was hunched over, drawing in a sketchbook with an iced coffee leaving a ring on the warm mahogany table. His blonde hair fell into his eyes causing it to sway with his breath. He wore a cream threadbare sweater with paint stains at the cuffs and worn white sneakers, yellowing with age. You turn your attention back to the shelves of books, looking for your favorite 'Persuasion' by Jane Austin. The librarians reorganized the shelves so it takes you longer to find it,but when you do you can't help but huff in annoyance. The book is just out of your reach, your short stature keeping you from reaching the faded hardcover of your favorite book. Your attention is drawn away from your dilemma as the boy you were looking at stands, making his way to the very shelf you're looking at. He's taller than you thought, looking up at him towering over you as he reaches to grab 'Pride and Prejudice'. His hair falls into his eye again and with a graceful flick of his wrist he tucks his hair behind his ear, glittering earrings tangling around the silky blonde strands. You build up the courage to tap his forearm and get his attention.
"Excuse me? Could you grab the hardcover copy of 'Persuasion' for me? It's just to your left and it happens to be too tall for me to reach without a stool." You speak quickly, hoping to hold his attention long enough for him to help you.
"Yeah sure." He reaches over you towards your book and his perfume washes over you, the sweet smell of ylang ylang and vanilla invading your senses and making you feel at ease. He hunches over slightly to meet your eyes as he hands you the book, long fingers sliding over your rings.
"My name is Hyunjin by the way." He speaks quietly, meeting your eyes while you respond with a blush adorning your cheeks.
"Y/n."
"Pretty name for a pretty person. Would you like to sit with me?" He gestures back towards the two armchairs, only separated by the worn mahogany table that you love so much. He holds a hand out to you, waiting for your response.
"I would like that. Thank you Hyunjin." You state, taking his outstretched hand and letting him lead you to the plush chairs by the window.
