is it weird to anyone else when people describe will graham as a sweaty, dysfunctional, mess of a man? he is fully competent at the beginning of season one and throughout the other seasons. from the shots we see of his house it is organized and his clothes are neatly organized within his drawers. he only starts to unravel due to his untreated illness about halfway through the first season. sure, he’s a little stand-offish and awkward compared to the other characters but characterizing him in those ways is just wrong. that’s not his full character, it’s the symptom of an illness. also hannibal didn’t fall in love with ‘a sweaty fbi man’ he fell in love with the man who said he didn’t like eye contact and then immediately looked him dead in the eyes, the man who opened the door in his tiny boxers, and the man covered in blood in the hobbs kitchen.

“There are times when
my longing for you overwhelms me …
so often I can think of you
only with teeth clenched.”

"This is an apology for the things I have to say
about us to get over us.
I feel most like myself when I am washing blood off my hands in the shower;
and I hope whatever is eating you alive
does it as slowly as possible.
I know it doesn't sound like it,
but this is a love poem.
this is a love poem
this is a love poem,
until it isn't anymore."

"Your absence has gone through me
like thread through a needle.
everything I do is stitched with its color."

“you and I have begun to blur”
“isn’t that how you found me?”

It's of course fair to criticize a performer's performance and the writers' writing of a character but where you tell on yourself is when you sandwich that 'valid criticism' between remarks about Moses's race. Comments like, "Inclusion was more important than finding a good actress", is just racism. The fact that her being Black was so profoundly remarkable to you that it led your critique implies you were always set out to be hypercritical of her performance and character. You've invalidated your criticism and you've exposed your racism and your bias.
“i think i have reached my peak” i say as i dress as if i’m about to die in a 70s horror flick
it’s too early in the day for me to be crying like this
no but i'm crying into my soup again hannibal had all day at LEAST to prepare for confronting will about his betrayal and we know how impeccably he can construct his person suit but he was STILL hesitant and emotional and crying during that kitchen scene like. he either decided not to hide his emotions from will or he actually couldn't like hhhh the heartbreak and the anger when he says "i let you know me. see me" he literally sounds like he's seconds away from his voice breaking he is stripped BARE. he could have approached will in that kitchen as the chesapeake ripper but he didn't, he went to him as hannibal lecter and fffffff
