It went quick- It starts slow Hesitant Then it was fast Impulsive Obsessive That’s what our love was Until it wasn’t
Kiss me- Kiss me Kiss me hard and slow So when you go I won’t miss you so How you hold me Comfort me Make me laugh Your touch Your voice I’ll miss you so When you go I need to know you’ll be back So kiss me Kiss me hard Kiss me slow I’ll miss you so
Fallen- Personally I’ve fallen Again and again But I’ve never failed to use my time wisely I cherished every moment That’s more than I can say for most I have fallen But I’ve never lost
Hourglass- The sand falls down the glass Seconds passing by Quietly time ticks on Reminding me I’m out of time Reminding me I failed But still The sand falls
Sea- My toes lightly touch the water The sea meeting me halfway Gently coercing me to follow it back Grabbing my soul and taking me with it “Follow me” it says “I’ll take you home” it says
Sane- I’ve left the world I live in To live in another One far away in my mind Away from pain Away form fear Away from all the trouble Some call me crazy I call it keeping myself sane
Immerse- I spent my days reading Quiet yet joyful Many don’t see the value But it made my world By creating a world I could immerse myself in It gave peace Joy Sadness Love Everything and anything A whole new world One book at a time That’s why I spend my days reading
Sun- The warm kiss on my cheek The hold on my shoulders The all encasing warmth Burning, heated touch Blooming embers The sun continues to reign And reign it shall
What was- The world was in chaos Love was mistreated and undeserved Disrespect came to view rearing it ugly head How poor the world was when no one valued what they had No cherished what was
Honor- Silence filled the room The pin had dropped Chaos ensued An their world began to burn The lies came forward No one was honored No one was saved
Home- The wind held me like a blanket Circling me, holding me, cooling my skin Sun burning bright Lighting my way over the street Catching me in all my glory and faults This is my home A home that cares A home that threatens Wild it may be But lovely is she Big blue and green This is the scenery Things I’ve always loved to see
Soft winter day- The scene was right The air was cold My breath could be seen My sweater kept me warm The snow began to fall gently Creating a crown on my head Kisses like a feather on my lashes The scene was right Perfect
Flame- haiku Fire burned a light The flame continued to grow She was warm that night
Before I let go- I don’t remember what held me back What in the world convinced me to stay Why can’t you remind me Give me a reason to stay before I let go of you Before we’re no more And I’m walking out the door To late at this point I’ve seen what you’ve done What you’ve become I should let you go But memories of them haunt me now
Leaving- Dreaming of you I flew high into the sky Let go And fell in love With you But then you let go And I woke up my heart broke And there you were, no longer with me Gone we’re my daydreams I did this for me I moved on entirely My heart healing No you in sight I began my flight
Leave- You should’ve thought this through How this would have ended I don’t deal with liars or cheaters And you did both of those Leave
I want a guarantee- My soul wishes for more More than you could ever offer me You hurt me You’ve abandoned me Time and time again I want someone I can trust Someone who will stay Not someone I can’t guarantee will be with me Your nothing but a far away dream And I’m looking for a reality
All I need- These days I just want to smile Enjoy my days Do all the things that matter to me That’s all I need Nothing grand Just me
Not mine- I held on as much as I could But there’s not much to hold on to You don’t love me the same Not the way I do you Nor when your heart isn’t mine But hers The smiles the laughs None of it mine
Forever too- Softly you caress me Promising a forever Eyes screaming the truth So I follow your lead And promised you a forever too So here we are Dancing in the dark Following the sky As the moon shines bright
Remain- Kiss me dear Don’t let me go Hold me tight You never have to fear When I let go I’ll remain right here I’ll have your back I’ll be your shoulder I’ll be your strength All you have to do is remain
