it is harmful to suggest that there are "male lesbians"— women + sapphic nby ppl who only love other women + sapphic nby ppl deserve a term to describe their experiences as an oppressed group in order to organize aid, resources, community, etc. "male lesbians" also usually is a transphobic dogwhistle for people who believe trans men should be included as lesbians because they were "socialized female" or afab, both of which are transmisogynistic ideas as well. not to mention genderqueerd/ykes (the poster) has posed as a Black trans woman before to get mutual aid that many have accused them of misusing/lying about the need for b/c of comments they've made privately.
