Kunikida throwing Dazai to the ground as he does. And Atsushi, lil Atsushi who's been curled up in a ball all scared and confused.

Dazai just lights up, fake falls a few times and Atsushi just lights up giggling and clapping his hands.

Dazai: amused Chibi or grown up you love making fun of me don't you Atsushi?

Headcannon Kunikida was the teacher all the new kids were terrified off. But the older kids loved dearly.

Kunikida was definitely that teacher who was like everyone else may fail you but I never will.

He'd run catch up sessions and take the time to explain things.

He'd fight like hell for their accommodations to be met, every time. Kunikida would teach them real world skills and give them a healthy distrust of authority.

He wouldn't care if you left to go the bathroom or ate in class, as long as you did so without disrupting everyone.

He'd reassure kids who didn't do great in exams and tell them they'd figure it out together. And no kid ever failed his class.

Kunikida was no nonsense and sharp as a nail but he was also kind and warm and didn't put up with any bullies or bigots.

He'd used every kids preferred name and pronouns without hesitation and reminded them that his classroom was a safe place.

The faculty both loved and feared him. And his past students still reach out and stop to talk when they see him. Everytime Kunikida leaves with a soft smile.

bsd fic idea I had a while ago!!

Atsushi finds out that the orphanage is doing the same thing they did to him to another kid and decides that no one deserves to suffer the way he did and saves them.

Now he has to deal with his life at the agency and raising a kid that no one knows about (he like, idk, rescued them in the middle of the night or sum, and kyouka lives either on her own or with yosano or something idkk)

I think it would be interesting

It would probably start with the rescue, and then a bit of fluff/the kid getting comfortable and then either the agency or akutagawa would find out and then maybe there'd be more fluff or something

Dazai: Hey, what's wrong Atsushi?

Atsushi: Akutugawa said he loved me.

Dazai: Is that not a good thing?

Atsushi: He shouldn't lie like that.

Dazai: I don't think he's someone who would like about that. Why do you think he's lying?

Atsushi: I'm not someone people love.

Dazai: Atsushi... Hugs him You are, you are so loved more than you realise.

Atsushi: Why? I didn't do anything.

Dazai: You've done plenty, but that aside you don't need to do anything for people to love you. You're you, and that's more than enough.

Atsushi: Sounds fake.

Dazai: sad smile I know, but you'll get used to it.

Atsushi: He won't love me now, I left.

Dazai: I doubt that, if you explain he'll understand. He might also make it his lifes mission to get you to believe him.

Atsushi: smiles That sounds like him.

Kunikida 100% had some kinda alt/rebellious phase when he was a teenager and it haunts him to this day

Katai would totally tell anyone who asks all about it

Dazai: you've known kunikida for a long time, right? What was he like when he was younger, I bet he was a big goody-two-shoes!

Katai: you'd be surprised

Dazai: wait, what!? Kunikida, our kunikida did something bad??

Katai: oh let me tell you-

Kunikida stands off to the side, blushing furiously from embarrassment yet not denying anything
