“Another doctor?” Seokjin shook his head furiously, “Sir, that’s not-”

“Seokjin,” Seokjin’s boss sighed, “I think this is for her own good.”

“With all due respect Ahjussi,” Seokjin didn’t miss a beat in replying, “I don’t think this will do anything to help her. I feel it will scare her into not replying to anyone at all.”

“Well,” he wasn’t really listening, “I see where you’re coming from, Kim… I really do, but just because you’re closest with her doesn’t mean you know what’s best for her. If you get too attached to her, I’ll have to switch her doctor.”

“Sir,” Seokjin pleaded, “I realize that there are personal feelings that are getting involved, but for Nayoung, the rules are gonna have to be bent. She’s different from any other one.”

His boss sighed and leaned back in his chair. After a few moments of silence, he spoke up, “Alright, Kim. Here’s the deal.”

Seokjin sighed of relief and nodded eagerly at his boss for him to continue.

“You try to get her to open up to one other person, I don’t care who it is, and then I won’t switch her doctor. You can’t tell her of this arrangement, not even a little hint at it. If you fail, you can’t see her again, arraseo?”

Seokjin nodded and bowed several times, “Thank you. Thank you so much Ahjussi.” He started to head out of the room.

“Kim,” his boss called before he left the room. Seokjin turned around with the door half open in front of him.

“I’m only giving you today and tomorrow. That’s the most I’m giving you.”

“Y-Yes sir,” he bowed a few times, feeling his nerves on the edge.

I don’t know why he thinks he’s right. He thought, I just hope she’ll be willing to open up to someone…

“Nayoung?”

Nayoung looked up from the most recent book Seokjin had bought her and she smiled at the sight of said person. She patted next to her and waited for him to take a seat. Her smile quickly faded as she saw the fake smile on his face. Her smile turned into a look of concern as he sat down where she had patted.

“How are you feeling?” he slowly eased into a conversation with her, “I’ve been told that you’re still not letting anyone else talk to you.”

She looked away from him sheepishly, leaning into her pillow deeper, hoping to disappear by doing so.

“Nayoung, I know it’s hard for you to trust people,” he took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions back. He said a silent prayer that she was going to be up for it; that she was going to see that a lot was at stake within her next few actions.

She continued to look down, so Seokjin softly slid his warm hand under her chin, pulling her head up so she would look at him.

“I want what’s best for you, Nayoung… You know I wouldn’t make you do anything I thought you couldn’t handle, right?” he whispered to her, loosening his grip on her chin. He didn’t want to make her more uncomfortable with too much skinship.

She nodded, reaching for his hand that was moving away from her. She held his hand in between her soft ones, nodding again with her eyes fixed on his.

“I want you to meet my little brother tomorrow.” He said softly and slowly, causing her to look up with widened, shocked eyes. He could feel her questions hitting him from the look he gave her, but he couldn’t answer any of them. He promised he couldn’t.

She could tell he was holding back information and it frustrated her. Why would he hold back with her? He hasn’t before…

Her grip on his hand tightened as he took a deep breath, “He won’t hurt a fly, Nayoung. He’s your age, actually. I think you two could get along very well if you gave him a chance.”

Nayoung looked to the sheets and then to the book she had been reading. It couldn’t hurt to meet him… right? He’s of the same blood as Seokjin, the only person she can really trust. Surely it’d be fine and easy to open up to him… right?

“Please, Nayoung. Please.” He begged, holding her hands in his, “I promise that he’s a good guy. He’s one of the best, he’s really funny and his smile is one of the brightest smiles...”

Your smile will still be my favorite, she thought as a smile started to creep onto her face. Seokjin saw the smile and bit his lip, looking hopefully at her. She nodded her head once, twice, three times, pulling his hands to pull him closer.

“Arraseo,” Seokjin smiled, moving closer to her as she pulled even more. “I’m so glad that you’re ready. I want you to be able to make friends, too.”

Nayoung nodded and started to pull him in further, confusing him a little bit. After he was a few inches closer, she let go of his hands and opened up her arms. Seokjin blinked a few times, only for his eyes to widen at her gesture. Before he could say anything, she grabbed his hands and wrapped them around her waist. Her arms snaked around his neck as she buried her face in his chest.

“N-Nayoung…” he was trying to get used to being so close with her, but his heart was pounding pretty hard in his chest. He silently prayed that Nayoung couldn’t hear it. “Nayoung… I…”-I love you-“I’m so proud of you…”

She nodded her head in his chest, brushing her fingers through his hair. If there were any other times that she was happy in her life, this moment beat out all the others. His heartbeat was fast yet soothing, making her slightly sleepy. His breathing was in a rhythm, hypnotizing her eyes to droop.

Seokjin could tell that she was getting sleepy, so he gently removed her arms from around his neck. She pouted at him slightly, too tired to put more resistance to his arms moving her away.

“You need to sleep to prepare for tomorrow,” he smiled softly at her, tracing patterns on the back of her hand, “I’ll be here first thing in the morning to help you prepare to meet Taehyung. He’ll be coming in right after lunch… Arraseo?”

Nayoung nodded with her eyes closed as Seokjin chuckled, fluffing her pillow and covering her up in her quilt from her old classmates. He gently picked up her left hand and placed his lips to the back of it in a slow, soft motion. She left out a content sigh with a faint smile staying on her tired face.

“Goodnight, Nayoung…” he whispered to her, having to force himself to let go of her hand. He gave her an affectionate look as he stood up, forcing a smile on his face.

I hope that I can succeed. He bit his bottom lip, I can’t bear to leave her when shes gotten so far already. I refuse to lose her now.

He gave her sleeping figure a smile before shutting the room door behind him, looking at the clock. It was a little past 11, but he knew Taehyung was probably still up playing video games with his roommate, Jungkook.

Taking out his pink phone, he called Taehyung on his way to his office. It took three rings before the phone was answered.

“Jin Hyung~” he heard Jungkook’s voice on the other end, “Tae Hyung, its Jin Hyung! Stop attempting to build that shelf you bought!”

Seokjin rolled his eyes at what Jungkook said, “Hey Kookie. Why is Taehyung trying to build a shelf?”

“Heck if I know. I just know he bought one and told me he was gonna figure out how to build it.”

Seokjin laughed and shook his head with a laugh, “Arraseo. Is he on his way?”

“Neh, he’s- here.”

“Hyung! Why are you calling so late again?”

“I need you to be ready by lunch tomorrow. I need you to meet someone.” Seokjin informed.

“Wayeo? It’s that girl is it?” Taehyung smirked as Seokjin subconsciously glared at a stack of papers in front of him. “She has a name you know…” he mumbled

“Neh… Neh. Can I finish building my shelf now?” Taehyung asked in an impatient manner.

“Eager to build a shelf are we?” Seokjin laughed. He pinched the bridge of his nose and rolled his eyes at how ridiculous his dongsaeng is.

“Bye Hyung! See you tomorrow!” He could tell Taehyung was smiling and waving to what was meant to be to him. That alien... He thought and chuckled, earning himself weird looks.

“Bye, Taehyung. Be careful… and let Kookie help you with the shelf!” He said, faking worry.

“Why? I’m a grown… Never mind. But he’s even more incapable of building a shelf.” Taehyung whined.

“I’m hanging up now… I’m getting sick of hearing the word shelf.”

Taehyung laughed and started singing, “Shelf (x100)”

Seokjin pushed ‘END CALL’ and put his phone back in his pocket.

“That’s my brother alright…” He sighed for the ninth time that night, and clocked out.

“Good bye.” He bowed and left the hospital, hoping that Taehyung would be the one to get her to open up to others.

SO I hope this one wasn’t a let down >< I worked as hard and as fast on it as I could, so I’m hoping it’s likeable~ Thanks to Admin Jongie for helping me out on the last part~ I really appreciate that~ ^^
